Mafia: The Old Country is coming to PS5 very soon, arriving next week on 8th August, 2025.

Ahead of launch, the game's official channels have now confirmed some more details about visual modes featured in the Unreal Engine 5 crime drama.

Essentially, the PS5 version will include both Performance mode and Quality mode, as has become the norm for many major releases.

The above post states the game will hit 60 frames-per-second "average" when playing in Performance mode, and Quality mode will enable "higher resolution and visual fidelity".

It's also worth noting that there's no mention of PS5 Pro, so it appears there won't be any specific enhancements for the console, at least at launch.

Indeed, the PS Store listing doesn't feature the PS5 Pro Enhanced tag. The game may perform better on the Pro by default, but it's hard to say definitively without some hands-on time.

Interestingly, the most recent gameplay trailer did state it was captured on PS5 Pro, so presumably it does benefit the game in some way.

Anyway, there's just a week to go until we can get firm answers on that front.
