Sony has shared that its official PS5, PC fighting stick, which was first shown off last month, will be called the FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick. It launches next year, and you can see all the features it's packing in the trailer above alongside new Marvel Tokon footage.
The announcement comes just before fighting tournament EVO begins, where the fighting stick shall be on display (but not usable) along with its carry case, which is included when you buy the device. A price hasn't been confirmed yet.
On the PlayStation Blog, you can get an overview of the features the fighting stick has. Sony is utilising its PlayStation Link technology to provide wireless play for up to two FlexStrike pads, which requires just one adaptor to work. You can also hook up a Pulse Elite wireless headset or the Pulse Explore wireless earbuds via the Link adapter for an "ultra-low latency audio and voice chat experience in the heat of battle". You can also play over a wired connection.

Then, all the buttons of a standard PS5 DualSense controller have been translated to the FlexStrike, even including the Touchpad. You can then utilise lock buttons and lever mode switches to customise your inputs. A normal PS5 pad can also be hooked up to the FlexStrike if you want to use it to navigate menus.
With the company leaning into the fighting game genre even more through EVO and its collaboration with Arc System Works on Marvel Tokon, you can expect the FlexStrike fighting stick to be heavily marketed alongside the game and any other future fighting titles Sony has a hand in.
Due for release in 2026, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is playable at EVO 2025 this weekend. Are you tuning in to watch the tournament? Let us know in the comments below.

I'll give PlayStation this: they know how to make a product look sleek as hell. They have some talented people working on these accessory trailers.
Looks really good. PlayStation's official accessories have been excellent this gen.
I'm sure this will be quite pricey but looks like a fantastic product.
Does every trailer have to be accompanied by some random dude rapping on it 🤣
Cool looking product but terrible name
Nice looking unit and I like the idea of the swappable gates. Shame we don't know the price but I expect it to be pricey (my nacon fighting stick was about £250) I'd like to see tests on wireless latency, as any previous serious stick has been wired only - its great if they have that level; of latency via wireless (though I suspect not.)
Yeah this does look sleek as hell. Interested to know if they are using premium components. Sanwa, Hayabusa, semitsu etc. Ive got the 8bitdo arcade stick for the switch and swapped the buttons for micro switch sanwas and an hexagonal gateway and sanwa stick and it feels lovely. Shame the blueprint for the 8bitdo stick is on the smaller side and a bit tall. Makes it a bit uncomfortable on the wrists but for light, offline play its cheap and does the job very well.
I was more focused on the seconds of new Marvel Tokon footage tbh but yeah, cool.
just calling it flex or strike would’ve been better , flexstrike sounds too tryhard and also sounds like a failed live service game 😂
never been a fightstick guy, but also never used one either, i’m stuck in my ways with a controller; lm really glad that $ony is supporting fighting games though, so love to see it.
Makes my 8Bitdo Arcade Stick look like a fisher price toy, that’s pretty sleek I like it, totally agree on the comment above about styling this generation PlayStation 4 sucked in this department
@Jrs1 haha better get used as the never shifting lowest most commonest denominator for all the literal kids now and ever. Such clownery as cool is surely the greatest trick the pied not even piper ever pulled….
@SystemAddict Hahah aye true 👍
That's a terrible name.
I suspect it'll be releasing the same day as Tokon. Either way...bring on Evo week.
I just hope they make this with customizability in mind. They mention it has custom lever, but I hope you can change it to Sanwa/Seimitsu levers etc if you don't like it. Those button caps are custom as well, but hopefully you can hot-swap the mechanical switches to suit your needs.
Toolless gate swap? Yeah this gone cost a pretty good penny. Still, I have interest in it. I haven't used a fight stick in a long time though(still using my victrix pro bfg). Also, in the little footage Cap does charging star! Spidey does what looks like a spidey sense counter. Their some projectile clashing. A leader switch also?. Then a team combo.
$299.99
Day one purchase! Great time to get back into fighting games.
It will probably be a day one buy from me, but I'd still like to read some impressions before fully commiting.
Hopefully Push Square can have an impressions article closer to release.
Nevertheless, I like what Sony is doing here and they definitely have my interest.
That is a sleek and sexy looking piece of kit, with an awful name. It's like a Greek god named Keith.
I have no great interest in fighting games, but this could be a dream for arcade emulation (on PC, of course).
Every once in a while I consider getting a fight stick, so this has piqued my interest. Although I expect this will be enthusiast priced with corners cut on components, either off the shelf cheapo's or 'manufactured to spec' bits that will likely break.
I'll wait until it's out and someone's torn it down, but if it's well made and appropriately priced I'll happily pick one up.
@nomither6 Flexstrike sounds like an at home gym equipment brand from an infomercial.
Names aside it’s certainly a nice bit of kit. Good fight sticks can be spendy so I am curious what it’s priced at I don’t believe it’s been revealed.
Have two questions.
1) why does it use the PS Link adapter, and not Bluetooth like the 'usual' DualSense controllers?
2) will it have the famous problem of Pulse Explore + PS Link's random disconnects (still not fixed)?
It looks amazing i wonder what buttons and stick they use sanwa or tori or their own. The stick looks really good and not to bulky.
