@Stocksy To be truely great at my job, which should be expected by all members, you must be willing to crunch and work above and beyond. ND is/was the gold standard in game development. No one there should expect 40 hours a week. Performance at a high level requires self-sacrifice.
@Stocksy plenty of other jobs require crunch. My job 100% requires crunch several times a year and it is absolutely unavoidable. I enjoy it though but I have noticed the young associates at my firm expect to only work 40 hours a week and get paid like the associates that work 50-60.
@GeminiX53 Intellectual property protection is a large part of my legal practice. I can easily and have the knowledge to emulate and understand the back end of doing so and the effects on the intellectual property owners. You are incorrect on literally every assumption you just made. Like I said you are free to justify theft in any way you see fit. It is still theft.
@amatmulisha The irony that the way you speak about America is the same rhetoric used by those in power to turn popular sentiment against our neighbors in Mexico and Canada.
The United States is larger than all of Western Europe and thanks to hundreds of years of some of the most liberal immigration policies and sanctuary programs ever seen in history, arguably just as diverse. The current regime represents us not by right, but because our system of power is fundamentally flawed. If it brings you peace of mind to attack an entire country for the actions of those in power so be it, but it is extremely ignorant.
@Sakai the caveat is that publicly traded companies are legally obligated to make more money for shareholders. Unless your firm is, it’s not applicable. I will say I don’t agree with the law but it does exist and is well held.
My firm does profit sharing with all employees to try and help with the current economy. We could just pocket the money but we flow it downstream because it sucks out there.
@amatmulisha agree in part and dissent in part. Over half the population didn’t vote for him. And he is not the sole cause of the current economic decline the entire world is experiencing. You would hope people around the world are observant/intelligent enough to realize that.
@Reyzore yea this price increase sucks. What sucks more is that it costs me 6k a month just to live. Blessed with a good job but I am very worried for a lot of people with the current cost of living. Have friends and family that are struggling.
@Oram77 I agree GoY was stunning visually but I played on a pro and a very nice tv. I have not heard how it looks otherwise. Game is incredible though despite the internet’s usual dogpiling and clownish behavior.
@HRdepartment it’s talking about the likelihood of games coming to PlayStation no? PushSquare is due criticism at times but this one doesn’t make sense.
@LifeGirl Ah understood. Yea I just ignore all that. It’s easier though when you have no social media it would drive me crazy if I was inundated with the bitching and moaning on Twitter etc.
This weekend I’m gin do some yardwork and grind death stranding 2 connections. Beat the game at launch then got distracted but it’s been very relaxing just delivering. Very much love this game.
@DennisReynolds unfortunately you can argue that is what their platform has turned into. With the current price of gamepass you need to play a lot to make it worthwhile. You can still technically get a better deal playing on gamepass but that deal has a lot of caveats at this point.
@Dalamar I played one round of Fortnite about a decade or so and uninstalled immediately after. I am definitely not the target audience for most current gaming trends but luckily there has also been many many excellent single player games of late.
@Whately86 I think they posted an article about this today re: price increase on the games which allegedly have the potential to jailbreak. Also I think there is merit in not posting an article putting people on notice of how to commit theft, which jailbreaking ultimately leads to. Just my opinion though, reasonable minds may differ.
I don’t know how I feel about this. I “crunch” before trial many times a year because I love what I do and I get paid to do it. It’s hard to do something truly great only putting in 40 hours a week. Sometimes it takes the extra time and sacrifice to accomplish your goal.
Not everyone wants that though, which is also understandable.
@Nalodart I would definitely not consider it an Indie game but the definition of what is Indie in video games has become much different than music and movies.
@lazarus11 I could see many aspects of the movie not working for people… Del toro has a very particular style of storytelling. Cinematography is the only criticism I would find invalid.
@wildcat_kickz it has some great cinematography throughout. I could see pacing complaints but not cinematography. This guy just comments something negative on anything that isn’t Uncharted.
New trophies are likely beating in NG+ and beating NG+ on hardest difficulty. Should be fairly trivial going in with all the unlocks from your first playthrough. Might mainline to get back to 100%.

Re: PS5 Price Hike Hits Japan Hard as PS5 Pro Sales Sink to Xbox Levels
@Max_the_German It is telling but Japan is also a very small market.
Re: The Last of Us Multiplayer Was 80% Complete Before Cancellation, Spent 7 Years in Development
@bring_on_branstons The only GAAS I would have let take up my gaming time. Factions was truly a great MP experience.
Re: Opinion: Does Starfield Suck? People Keep Telling Me to Skip Its PS5 Release
I want to play this for some reason. Not a big Bethesda fan but I like the vibe. Just worried the loading screens will annoy me.

Re: Marvel MaXimum Collection (PS5) - A Retro Comic Book Beat-'Em-Up Bonanza
@GeminiX53 you can justify however you see fit. But it is theft. For people who respect ownership of IPs, emulation is a nonstarter.
Re: Marvel MaXimum Collection (PS5) - A Retro Comic Book Beat-'Em-Up Bonanza
@GeminiX53 I mean it is technically theft so even if I wanted to I cannot emulate. There are many reasons not to engage in the practice.

@Gryzor it’s easier to hate blindly than think.
Re: Sony Announces Gigantic PS5 Price Increases, Effective from April 2026
@amatmulisha the myth that Americans have voice and power still exists?

@Gryzor They are getting what they wanted. Doesn’t matter how much it hurts them as long as it hurts others more…
Re: Sony Announces Gigantic PS5 Price Increases, Effective from April 2026
@Optimus He has not helped but we are lying to ourselves if we truly think he is the only cause. Guy is an absolute hateful bozo though.

Re: Sony and Honda Have Abandoned Their PS5-Integrated Electric Car Afeela
@Carnage it depends on the area. In my state EVs are plentiful because there is a ton of infrastructure. For the middle of the country, not so much
Re: It Won't Be Much Longer Before We See More of PS5 Exclusive Marvel's Wolverine
@Frmknst can’t wait for the Uncharted 5 announcement so we can finally see you comment something positive.

@Whately86 you’re welcome.
Re: 'This Is Finally Living Up to Its Promise': PS5 Pro Owners Thrilled with PSSR 2 Upgrade
@nomither6 I will buy both again. Two consoles every seven years for a hobby is not bad at all.
Re: IO Interactive Washes Its Hands of MindsEye After Disastrous PS5 Launch
@dskatter part of me wants them to be able to prove it because it would be wildly entertaining and unexpected.
Re: With Overwatch Back to Its Best, Marvel Rivals Plays Its Black Cat Trump Card
@MS7000 much like Fortnite, I didn’t make it through one round before I realized I didn’t like it. I miss the PS3/Xbox 360 era of multiplayer games.

Re: Rumour: GTA 6 Pre-Orders Incoming as Game IDs Are Finally Added to PS5 Database
@LifeGirl I preordered RE9 just recently and that was a great choice. Maybe let other people spend there money however they want…

How many of these do we need/can the market support? They are definitely not for. I can’t even understand the draw.
Re: Xbox Exclusive RPG Avowed Is Coming to PS5 in February with Major New Features
@SMJ it was clearly tongue in cheek but there is merit to what was said. A better product launches later on PS.

Re: Dispatch Season 2 Seems Inevitable, But Dev's Only Just Starting to 'Think About' It
Only through the first two episodes but really enjoying it. I would like an endless “dispatch mode.” It’s very satisfying.
