Re: Will PS5 Support 1440p Screens? Fans Are Eager for Answers

GamingVeteran

@ShootMePlease what are you on about? The real fact is, the 1440p user base is a small percentage of people. Same can be said about "competitive gaming" which is also a very very small percentage of the user base. I assume you are one of those people who wasted money on a tiny 1440p gaming monitor. "1440 is part of the reason why 4k hasn't caught on as fast as people wanted"??? Bwahahaa. Have you ever been to any electronics store anywhere on Earth? I think 4K has caught on pal. I mean geez my grandparents use 4K tv's. But I will stick with my 65" OLED for my game console thanks.

So a few people wasted money on their 1440p high refresh rate monitors, and think Sony needs to accommodate for that?. I hope this isn't going to be the next Sony boycott from the "fans". Game's on console unlike PC's you don't need to drop your resolutions and tweak 20 settings just to get something to look remotely playable. Which is why most people on PC still game at 1080p aswell.

Re: Plex Will Be Available on PS5 At Launch

GamingVeteran

I will stick with the open sourced UMS as my server. As for the Plex media player, its literally just a fork of Kodi hidden behind a Plex UI with less options. Plex does some pretty shady things that I don't want to get into here.

Re: EA Causes Outrage by Advertising FIFA Microtransactions to Kids

@daveyboyps101 Relax bud, no need to virtue signal about how good you are. If you tried to tell me any of that in your store, I would tell you right where to go. They are video game ads, in a toy magazine, there is literally nothing to get mad at here. Video games are toys, and microtransaction are in almost every one of them now.

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Runs at 4K, 120FPS on PS5

Why does anyone care about this? I want new games on my new system not upscaled or remastered 5-10 year old games. The new generation of gamers is ruining any progress moving forward in the gaming industry by cheering this type of thing on.

Re: Sony's Sending Out Yet Another Wave of PS5 Emails

@jamberino93 Covid can be used as an excuse, for a variety of reasons. Many stores might be closed still, and the health risks involved for such a launch could cause an issue. The border between Canada and US is still closed for shipping items to I believe, so that might cause a problem. I don't blame them for waiting.

@nessisonett It isn't hard to Google the definition but here is the top one, Bigot "a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions". It doesn't matter if the person is a Nazi who thinks the world is flat and says gators live in the sewers. If you don't like that person based on that then yes you are a bigot. It doesn't mean that persons opinion is right, but you are a bigot for not letting that person believe what they want to.

Re: Activision Bumping PS5 Price Points Beginning with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

GamingVeteran

They just NEED to raise the price huh, such B.S. And to people who support this nonsense and say things like "rising development costs" blah blah. You need to remember this earnings report they posted at the start of the year.

Act/Blizz 2018 Net Gross= 7,262 million (7.2 billion)
Micro transaction In-Game Gross= 4,203 million (4.2 billion)

Act/Blizz 2019 Net Gross= 6,388 million (6.3 billion)
Micro transaction In-Game Gross= 3,366 million (3.3 billion)

Yup, they sure are hurting for that money they need to make games.....

Re: Ghost of Tsushima Is Sony's Fourth Best Launch in US History

GamingVeteran

The main reason behind Ghosts success was the misguided hatred for TLOU2 and the need to make anything sell better. Ghosts is a pretty basic sandbox game in reality. If you compare it to the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2, from my perspective RDR2 is far superior in almost all aspects. With the exception of the different combat mechanics.

Re: All Free EA Access Games on PS4

"All Free EA Access Games On PS4"...it's a paid subscription service though so that isn't free, change article title please. Also, pretty weak list considering PS Plus alone gets 24 titles a year spread across many developers. No wonder Sony didn't want it in the beginning.

Re: The Last of Us 2 Could Have Been Open World

GamingVeteran

I really enjoyed the Downtown Seattle area. The whole marking the map as you go was nice, and being able to pull up the map anytime you wanted. And areas would get crossed off once you looted the entire place. Open World could have been very nice.

Re: The Last of Us 2 Tops Software Charts in Japan

GamingVeteran

The ones saying the game is bad, don't even know why they hate it, and never give examples. Their rage is all based around a misconception from someones leaks, and in turn made weak willed followers just follow suit. Most haven't even played the first game.
This is a solid game all around. The gameplay, the atmosphere, and yes even the story. People whine and stop playing after 5 hours and don't even know a quarter the story.

Re: PS5 Fans Are Panicking Over Backwards Compatibility

GamingVeteran

@themcnoisy "No you are moronic as you have distorted what I originally said. But thanks for the insult"

Never insulted you, you must have read that out of context.

"That entire argument is moronic, and makes next to zero sense."

Wasn't aimed at you, I was just making a statement, because that argument has been used by gamers since back before the PS4 launched. Same people different generation, and had no affect on PS4's success. Nobody is panicking like the article states, the b/c user base is VERY small.

Re: PS5 Fans Are Panicking Over Backwards Compatibility

GamingVeteran

@themcnoisy "Never thought I would see the day a gamer up in here, recommending buying less games in a distorted argument about backwards compatibility."

You're main complaint was you have to many games in you're backlog (not Sony's fault), so if there is no backward compatibility (which nobody knows yet) you won't buy PS5. I mean at least understand what you yourself are typing. Why don't you just keep you're PS4? you will still have it, you're games will still be there. That entire argument is *****, and makes next to zero sense.
