Embracer really just wanted them for the IP & back catalogue.

It makes me fear for TimeSplitters.

@bindiana Yep that’s my plan. Extra is well worth it. No need to panic & give Sony money until you have to. You’ll be able to get it around, if not cheaper than the current price.

This is really a move to get all those newcomers that’ll be jumping on board during the holidays & when Spidey 2 is out.

I’m paid up till May for Extra, so probably around Black Friday/the holidays I’ll keep my eyes peeled for a deal for Extra.

Not really interested in Premium. I don’t think there’s anything that would get me to sub to that service, not even full PS3 bc would do it.

Nothing for me this month. Tried a bunch of times to get into Saints Row, but it’s just not for me.

Great stuff.
It had a little launch discount, but they still managed to pull in over $3mill in revenue in a single day.
They also got both the Gamepass & PS+ Extra money bag, as well as being funded successfully on Kickstarter.

Happy for the devs. They’ve probably secured their long term future already. It helps that the game turned out pretty great as well.

PSVR2 needs a shot in the arm.

Also this reminds me that I should probably finish The Messenger. Got about half way through, then stopped due to new games coming out.

Not sure how much of an effect that will have, but I’m sure they wanted the game out before Halloween.

Need to finally beat Outriders. The game is good, but it’s starting to drag a little.

@PixelDragon @Perturbator Fair enough. Will have to wait for reviews for it. The first game crashing or bugging out in the middle of a boss fight was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had.

The original game was truly awful. It was such a chore to play let alone finish & ran terribly (68mc).

Called it the min I beat Ragnarok.

Atreus searches for the giants. Kratos plays adoring God. Atreus gets a ‘final’ vision that sees everyone back ‘home’ dead & the realms destroyed.
Kratos goes seeking out vengeance. Atreus follows in search for him.

You’re welcome everyone. The concept art for GOW: EGYPT already exists, before they went with Norse. Although they might go with Japan or India- which would be insane.

Can’t compare the two. This is more like Version 1 of PSVR.

If it ends up selling 17mil or so like the Wii U did, Jim Ryan would probably set up a press conference just so that he could declare himself the king of the world & a visionary.

This will be expected to do something like PSVR(1) numbers. 5million and everything else is gravy.

@KaijuKaiser The problem is that if you watched the trailer…they literally tell you what episode it covers up to😂.

I get that this isn’t for everyone, but it would be for me.
Something like grinding, doing side quests or trophy hunting I can now just use this with. We have a multi-people household.
Would be great for match days🤩.

It would be like the Switch/Vita for me (we have great wi-if)- which never left the house really.

Only downside for me is the PS+ stuff. Hope that is an eventual feature.

@Grumblevolcano I’m all for them milking their old IPs.
If they do well get a new game. If not? Have some 2nd party studio work on something new.
There is an opportunity cost. For every game that gets made, another doesn’t.

This is so low risk. PS studios developers aren’t sitting somewhere not doing anything.

@__jamiie Yep those RPG’s are both awesome. It just a strange decision as Matt & Trey don’t tend to follow trends- especially for what is a genre that’s been done to death.

It does remind me of that N64 game.

Trey & Matt have full creative control over South Park.
They’ve got their pulse on gaming. Just go back to comic-con when they jokingly said every feature fans wanted for Stick of Truth would be paid DLC- which it wasn’t.

Great month. Excited for Sea of Stars & will also be checking out Lost Judgment & Destroy all Humans 2.

They’ll probably hit the projected 25mill for the FY.
They have the current price drop in place to phase out the old PS5 models, then Spidey 2 hits followed by the revised PS5 model & holiday season.

They can just coast all the way to the bank.

I just want Spidey 2 out. Not because I’m super excited for it, but I just want to see what the First Party’s have been up to.

I wish I could say I won’t buy this, but the reality is I can’t. One of my absolute favourite games of all time.

As others have mentioned I’d probably jump in at £15- maybe even £20, but not at full price.

It’s such a shame really. RDR deserves the remake treatment.

Final Fantasy VIII & Death’s Door.

I’m hoping to really get stuck into FF8 as I’ll probably finish Death’s Door today. I’m pretty sure I’m approaching the end & it has been a good time. One boss aside that was really aggressive, the game hasn’t been that difficult.

@kyleforrester87 I put in around 5-6 hours before dropping it for some reason.
I’ll try to give it another proper go. Can’t help but get dragged into this BG3 hype.

@Powerplay94 Sea of Stars will be on PS+ Extra Day 1. So you don’t have to buy it, if you’re subscribed.

I’m interested. I didn’t really gel with Divinity OS, but I downloaded it again & plan to give it a proper go. If I like it I’ll probably pick up BG3.

@pip_muzz It seems like it was done by generations. The RE5 & RE6 sales are from PC, PS3 & 360 only. The PS4, XB1 & Switch ports aren’t counted in that figure.

RE5 is still the best selling RE game with all versions included by a slim margin. Then I imagine it’s RE2 & RE6 (all versions).

It’s a strange way of doing things, but I guess that’s where we are in the port/remaster/remake era.

As much stick as RE5 & RE6 got they shifted a lot of units- most of it on sale probably.

Between this & War Gods Zeus of Child, which is on the MS store, Sony might as well go third-party.

@Rob_230 Totally agree. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 had to take some ‘creative liberties’ as the games story had overtaken the anime/manga. It turned out fine but wouldn’t want that to happen to TLOU.
It’s one of the reasons why it makes perfect sense for Part 2 to be split into 2 seasons.
Give ND as much time as possible for Part 3 & don’t rush them.

PS Extra requires you to log in once a week to validate your membership.
This might not be the case anymore, but give it a shot.
Would love to know if that would work.

I genuinely think the last time I bought a physical game from Tesco was like well over 15 years ago. It would’ve been a WWE or FIFA game I imagine.

Tbf to Tesco here. Games take up so much shelve space & the margins must be tiny for them. No one goes to their local supermarket to buy a game.

Thought D5 did a reasonable job in making it more accessible, but don’t want them to dumb it down too much. It’s kind of what Disgaea has always been about.
I never use the DLC characters anyways. Feels like cheating I just have them sit in the classrooms, committees, etc.

@Darude84 I haven’t played a Tales game since Zestiria, so I can’t say for sure.
It plays a bit like Astral Chain meets Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

It’s very flashy. It’s a party of 3, but you’re able to use every party members unique skill at the same time which give you temporary abilities (with cool downs). So without spoiling too much you end up with some insane combos.
Having said that the game is somewhat challenging even on normal.

The game if you have Extra does come with the Burning Blade from Tales of Arise as a ‘bonus’ (which I used for a good chunk of the game).

@sorteddan How you finding D6? It’s meant to be the weakest of the mainline games. It kind of slipped trough the cracks with the initial Switch exclusivity. Need to get to it before D7 launches later this year.

Scarlet Nexus which I’m having a ton of fun with. The combat is excellent. So flashy & engaging. The story is interesting, but I’m skipping most of the ‘team bonding events/cutscenes’. This ain’t Persona.

Also need to catch up with some of the events & challenges this weekend for efootball23.

@get2sammyb Yh I think it will, as a last ditch resort. Capcom have been on a roll for a while now. Don’t think there’s enough there to capture an audience. Time will tell.
I do think it looks like a fun weekend game.

Deserved. Did think it was a bit rushed overall, but the quality is undeniable. I probably preferred Succession & Better Call Saul a bit more, but I reckon knowing how the story played out probably had an impact.

HBO are absolutely crushing it though.
