Interesting to see the amount of you who has TLOU 2 as one of their favourites. How come all over You Tube it got such hate, it was almost ridiculous. Im of the suspicion that they only played to that infamous death scene and then packed up.
1st is TLOU2. I cant understand the hate for this game, graphics were superb, gameplay was good, and the story was great. 2nd is Ghost of Tsushima. Only about 15 hrs in, but graphically its beautiful, gameplay is original and entertaining, the story...not finished it yet, but its ok so far. 3rd is FFV11 remake, just good fun to play.
The one thing i prefer xbox for over ps is their achievement system. Your Gamerscore is constantly advancing making you feel like you are making progress. The ps's trophy system makes you go up in levels that get harder and harder to progress. I am currently at level 14, and it is taking ages to go up, taking away that feeling of progression (until you actually do level up). When i do level up to 15, i will probably be dead before i can level up to 16.
I hate this. Last time when i pre ordered the ps4 on Amazon, it accepted my order, then a couple of weeks later said there was not enough stock. But i was lucky because then a mega pack became available, so i ordered that. I dont want to go through that again, but i fear there will not be anywhere near enough stock this time either. Now i find myself waiting for the orders to go live when in all possibility it wont happen today anyway. Sometimes i wonder why im a gamer.
I think some people may like it. A little OTT for me. But i think the possibilities are endless and i expect there to be multiple special editions through the PS 5' s lifespan, and even more self attachable panel options.
I prefer the longer types of games myself. Red Dead, Skyrim, Assassins Creed, GTA, those are some of my favourite games. Games you can lose yourself in without actually playing the main story.
Im super hyped for this. The only concern i have is that the battle system still reminds me of the assassins Creed series where its only to easy to block then counter. It also seems that when there are a few enemies, only one seems to attack at a time (again very like Assassins Creed). If my concerns are incorrect, this could end up as one of best games potentially.
A while ago i was super hyped for this, but now, not so much. All the delays have had the effect of me losing track of it and The Ghost of Tsushima has gained my hype for now.
I love the look of it standing up, but my home entertainment system means I will have to lay it down (unless I can persuade the missus to let me get a different one).
Looks fantastic to me. Modern and shapely. I love the blue lighting. I found nearly all pervious consoles to look dull and boring, but not this. Day one for me (I I can get one).
Only 7 for me. I have played Vice City, San Andreas, IV, V, so should have done better. Just what my last school report said and that was 45years ago, so I obviously have not changed much with age.
I prefer the xbox achievement system. You get a constant feeling of progression with it. The Trophy system on the other hand makes it more difficult to level up the higher you get. Ive been at level 14 for a couple of years now, which gives me no sense of progression at all. I will be to old to play (im 60 at the moment) when I eventually get to level 15, and I will be dust before I would get to level 16.
I cant wait, all the new features sound good to me. I just wish they would do something with the 'trophies' system. Once you've moved up to around level 14 like me, it takes absolutely ages to up level. This is the only part that I don't like, unlike the xbox's achievement system, where your score just keeps going up.
I found this game to be really disappointing. Graphically its a mess, some of the players don't look anything like themselves. Commentary is pathetic ('this shot has put the frame out of reach of his opponent', when no balls have been potted yet). Applause from the crowd suddenly stops. This sort of stuff destroyed my feeling of immersion in the game. Even the options for viewing all the angles for your shot are limited. No option to play as yourself with your own name in career mode. There is skill progression at all.
Really disappointed. There are far better pool games out there.
I'm about 10-15 hours in. I downloaded 1.06 this morning and played for a couple of hours with no issues so far. Just lucky so far I think. I did have one issue before 1.06 when the all the sound less the dialogue cut out. I had to restart my ps4 pro to get it working properly again. But as I said, that was before 1.06.
I agree with tatsumi. I'm enjoying the game a lot, but its lacking something that I just cant put my finger on. Graphically Bend did a great job and I hope they continue with a sequel as there is plenty of promise in this IP. You can see the influence that other games like The Last of Us, Uncharted and even GTA and others has had on this game with all of their game mechanics mixed up in it. The only bug I've hit so far is all the sound except speech cut out. I had to come out of the game and reload (which is very slow).
It will have to run better on the ps4. It is so bad on the xbox x that they are having to downgrade the graphics to up the frame rate. If they could get it to run well i might give it a go.
Ive played skyrim so many times i know whats in each cave before i go in. Witcher 3 was a great game but i still prefer The Elder Scrolls slower and more adventuring style of gameplay.
I thinks scores are fine. I use them as a guide and not as gospel. Obviously everyone like different things in games but providing there are multiple reviews it normally levels out at a fair average score. I prefer out of 100 as opposed to 10.
Looking forward go getting this tomorrow. I used to love the old style jrpg's. FFX was my favourite. Blue Dragon was ok but seemed to drag on a bit. Lost Odyssey was also good. Ive never played a Dragons Quest title before but from what ive seen this looks good. I like that there are no random encounters and you just fight the ones you want to. This should keep me busy till Tombraider comes out.
Im still playing it and loving it despite the issues. The main bit that needs improving to me is the lockpicking. That is so hard with a controller. It took me while to find out how to repair my armour and weapons, by which time mine was nearly all broken. Its great not having your hand held all the time but it has been a shock to the system. I love the battle mechanics. Saving the game is no issue to me as there are plenty of camps dotted arround. I hope they dont change the saving back to a save anywhere encouraging players to save prior to anything tricky like Skyrim. Just a few glitchy bits to sort out like getting stuck on doorways etc.
At last. A proper RPG that does not hold your hand. Although i liked Skyrim it was far to easy. All you had to do was follow the markers on your map. No thinking or planning. This on the other hand looks hard. It leaves you to work out what to do and where to go. Reminds me of Morrowind in that respect. As for the combat, it looks pretty real to me. Those swords were heavy, and as for the bows, well, not having a crosshair will catch a lot of people out. I really hope this game is a success, but i fear it wont be, simply because of the effort you will have to put in to progress.
Vice city is my favourite gta game. For its time it eas ground breaking. I also liked San Andreas. Come to think of it, i love all the gta games. Red dead redemption was also good. I cant wait for the new one.
I found it pretty disappointing to be honest. Nothing that wasn't already known. I had expected at least one new IP. Also, why no new Last of us 2 trailer? Nothing about PS4 PRO. With Microsofts lackluster showing, Sony had a great chance of 'nobbling' the Scorpio before it gets going. In my view they failed to do this and may come to regret it later.
Its superb on the pro. Only 2hrs in and finding it hard to stop. Gameplay is great and the story seems interesting to me. Kinda seems like a cross between Far cry 4, Assassins Creed, Rise of the Tombraider, all games that I like so that's good for me. Graphically, what can I say other than its the best looking game ive ever played. The details are amazing, you can see ants going up and down some trees, amazing. This game has moved the goalposts for all new games. Gonna stop now and go back to playing it.
Mine is an 'other'. Kingdom come deliverance. Mainly because I love the medieval fantasy games. The best one on the list though to me is For Honour. Another ye oldie fantasy game. Also looking forward to playing Crash Bandicoot again.
Good to here Sony's ps4 is still selling well. Got myself the pro when it came out. Good piece of kit with my 4K telly. Microlies has been doing well lately with their slim at such cheap prices, so that makes the news more impressive.
Cant wait to get mine. Got Skyrim a few days ago, but don't want to start it until I can play it on the pro. The game is sitting on the living room table staring at me.
I just disconnected from the internet from the ps4's settings and the game runs fine, so it must be the PSN issue causing the problems and not the update.
My update installed automatically, now I cant get past the 'continue' option. It crashes. Is my game bricked or is there a way to fix it. There are also problems with PSN, is this connected to the issue.
Cant wait to play this again. Played it on the 360 last time so hoping it runs ok on the ps4. Story was naff but its still one of the best games ive played ( after morrowind and oblivion though ). The mod thing doesnt interest me I just want to sink another few hundred hours in on it.
This news sucks. I have both the ps4 and xbox one at present and am looking to upgrade one to the ps pro or xbox slim. So far with the ps pro there is the uhd player missing while the xbox slim has one. Now this for fallout and the elder scolls, my favourite franchises. Im also sure more xbox games will use mods in future. Up till now the pro was my best bet but now the xbox slim is beginning to look better. I am stuck between the two at the moment but sony are beginning to drop behind in my view.
Yep, I'm getting one to replace my launch ps model. I have a 55" 4k UHD telly so I will be able to make full use of it. The lack of a UHD blue ray player doesn't bother me at all as all the 4k content I use is streamed. Who on earth still buys 4k discs at £20 and more a shot? Sony have got it right I think sticking to streaming, that has to be the future. £350 is a good price although I think they should have gone for £450 and used the extra 100 to increase the console power even more, I know I would have gone for that.
I found the reveal a little dull. Once again hype had set our visions to high. All the talk of the neo being made more powerful to compete with the scorpio. In the end it is the same specs we already new about. The lack of a 4k blue ray player could be a big mistake like other posters have mentioned. Even the considerably weaker xbox slim has one. I dont watch movies very often but when I do I normally use netfix or similar so it doesnt bother me but it will disappoint many. Probably the only way to keep the price down. Ive already preodered my pro from shopto though.
Have not had any crashes at all yet, or any other issues. Must be lucky I suppose. About 20 hours in so far. My biggest snag is not being able to find the last animal on a planet. Looked everywhere, with no joy. That will cost me 250 units damn it.

4/15 Awful, and 3 of those were complete guesses. The only one i was certain of was he Far Cry game. Never heard of most of the rest.
Re: Open World Action RPG Genshin Impact Gets Closed Beta Test on PS4 Next Month
This game look interesting. Shame its only at Beta though, so it must still be some way off. I hope they are doing a PS5 version.

14 for me. Im happy with that, as I did not play the original. I must have my lucky guess head on today. Must do the lottery.
Re: Can You Name These PS1 Games?
Only 3 for me, and they were luck. I didn't have a ps1, my first ps was ps2.
Re: PS4 Firmware Update 7.51 Is Available to Download Right Now
Im pretty sure these little updates are for security, not actual performance as such.
Re: Talking Point: Will You Be Buying The Last of Us 2?
