So, Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The game's been mulling about for a long while now, and it's finally set to launch on PlayStation 4 next month -- but how's it actually looking? Deep Silver's released a full 17 minutes of gameplay which shows off just about everything, and while the title's still based on an interesting concept -- a hardcore, open world role-playing game with realistic sword fights -- it's looking a bit... Janky. Ambitious, but janky.
It's safe to say that we're still unconvinced, but we're hoping the finished product comes together. Are you looking forward to Kingdom Come? Don't call Harry a spud in the comments section below.

Im really rooting for this game. I really really want it to be good, i really want it to sell well ,but dam it looks so bad lol
Do you know what else looks janky? Skyrim.
This could be decent, or downright terrible. It was going to be my try out game of the year, but I think I'll wait for reviews first...
From the look of it, its a sim of real life in the old silver day, rooting and looking forward for the game.. i think this could be game of the year candidate
I expect some jankiness, performance issues and bugs...and a bunch of gamers complaing how "boring" it is. Having said that this game has a huge potential and is one of my most anticipated titles this year. Like I said elsewhere it seems to have all the makings of a future cult classic (at the very least).
Quality and content can be summed up thus
"You've got two empty halves of coconuts and your bangin' 'em together."
@AFCC Skyrim also released in 2011 and... It's a Bethesda game. Proven track record and all that!
I will probably rent this game from Gamefly. As much as I want this game to be good I don't want to spend the $60 on it and then be disappointed with it like I was with For Honor.
Will get after they patch the hell out of it.
@Kidfried That's partly what I meant!
@ShogunRok If people can love Skyrim they can love this! In my opinion it looked bad in 2011 too xD BUT HEY, I'm not defending this game...I don't even knew it
Sigh,Is it even finished on PC yet? i love the aesthetic and the concept - i really hope it turns out okay.
@AFCC Hey you never know. I remember The Witcher 3 looking rough when I saw it during a preview event. The frame rate was really uneven and it definitely looked unfinished... Then it turned out to be absolutely amazing.
@nathanSF
I’ve not watch the holy grail in years. That comments made me really want to watch it with my daughters
@ShogunRok Still a big studio and they get away with their crap plus Skyrim for me was boring and a horrible mess om the PS3. And still not perfect on the PS4 and the same bugs on the switch.
It looks real pretty and all but the way they wield their swords is on some Monster Hunter type levels of slow swing speed.
I had no idea this was coming out so soon. With the footage I've seen I assumed it was at least a year out. I think it needs far more polish before release, but here we are!
@ShogunRok I'm tired of that excuse though just because it's Bethesda doesn't mean they should get a pass that's ridiculous
@AFCC Even with mods.
But that's part of the charm, no?
I actually think it looks really good I can't wait to play it
i do appreciate their respect for historical accuracy.
it's 1 of those games that might go unoticed for the "regular" crowd but if you are intrested in history and love RPG's without the typical magic,dragons and other fantasy stuff then this might be high on your list.
sure it might not be the best game regarding modern standards but i will give it a shot for sure.
shame that it might undersell even if it turns out way better then expected because it's not your typical RPG.
also i appreciate the details and depth the narrator give us.
it seems the devs realy try their best with this one.
The environments looks picture perfect in some areas. And since there probably won't be a new Elder Scrolls game until PS5, I'll check it out.
Damn that combat looks boring. Sounds a lot like Skyrim without any of the fun stuff
I'm not convinced by this game. Looks boring and kinda soulless.
@Flaming_Kaiser Man, you must regret buying the game 3 times then. 😂
How is anyone surprised by this? Did anyone even play Dead Island? Deep Silver has never made quality games.
@gingerfrog Exactly the feeling the trailer gave me - except for the daughter(s)
Tbh I was just waiting for the guilty conscience beat to kick in.
@ShogunRok To be fair, Fallout 4 also had a nice slab of jank on the side. Par for the course with Bethesda.
I new there would be a fair share of jank in this, but the depth of the game still makes it Day 1 for me.
Love a bit of jank, me.
Facial animation is a bit...off.
At last. A proper RPG that does not hold your hand. Although i liked Skyrim it was far to easy. All you had to do was follow the markers on your map. No thinking or planning.
This on the other hand looks hard. It leaves you to work out what to do and where to go. Reminds me of Morrowind in that respect. As for the combat, it looks pretty real to me. Those swords were heavy, and as for the bows, well, not having a crosshair will catch a lot of people out.
I really hope this game is a success, but i fear it wont be, simply because of the effort you will have to put in to progress.
The jankiness wouldn't bother me, my priority in this game would be the immersion of the game world. Since they are not doing the typical Fantasy stuff, they have to focus on making a captivating game-world. That means having great character depth and interesting stories to tell; intrigue, drama, action and so on. It also means having a complex combat system and supporting elements.
The sheer uniqueness of the game places it close to the top of my wish list for this year.
Been waiting for this hope it turns out well
@Nickolaidas I guess so! People still love the game
@Totaldude911 deep silver is just the publisher they didn't Develop this game that would be warhorse and same for dead island they were just the publisher
@hadlee73 I watched the whole video and didnt really see any parts where it ran bad. Care to point out some examples so I can go back and keep an eye out
skyrim made using cryengine anyway i got too many indie games to complete anyways f##k RPG`s
@dark_knightmare2 Ahhh, males sense. That explains why this gameplay actually looks a lot better than dead island
