Halo: Campaign Evolved PS5

Microsoft is planning to put out Halo: Campaign Evolved on PS5 during the summer months, according to a new report from The Verge covering Xbox's plans for 2026.

Sources speaking to the outlet claim Microsoft is "tentatively targeting [a] release over the summer". It then has Fable in autumn, and Gears of War: E-Day is on course for a release in the second half of 2026, the site claims.

The latter isn't announced for PS5 yet, but after Gears of War: Reloaded brought the franchise to PlayStation for the first time, it's expected that the upcoming prequel will be available on PS5 too. Microsoft is reportedly keen to avoid clashing with the November 2026 launch of GTA 6, according to The Verge, so final release dates aren't locked in just yet.

Elsewhere, the recently revealed Kiln from Double Fine is supposedly launching in April — which is confirmed for PS5 — and new Starfield content will reportedly come out "soon". It's long been rumoured a PS5 version is in the works and will launch alongside a major 2.0 update and second expansion.

The rumoured remaster of Fallout 3 is also touched on in the report, with it claiming it's in "active development".

When it comes to PS5, Halo: Campaign Evolved will have the single player campaign from the original game in remade form — the multiplayer won't be present. In addition to new gameplay mechanics and modernised visuals, there'll also be a handful of completely new levels.
