Silent Hill 2, Death Stranding 2, and Small Saga are my top three, and maybe only three, games I'm looking forward to at the moment.
It's not that I don't think anything else is going to be good, its just that I don't have much time.

Really enjoy these kinds of games especially when playing with an SO. Makes for a fun spooky night.

I've been cool with everything I've seen so far, but after they redid James' face, my hype has been elevated even more. I think it looks fantastic and people need to stop bandwagon-hating on Bloober until they actually see the final result. Yes, Bloober has never made a 100% amazing game but neither have a ton of other devs and they don't garner nearly as much hate.
October can't come soon enough!

I’ve never been into the 3D Sonic games, they just seem like a bunch of random things thrown together and too automatic. Adventure 1 and 2 seemed good but I never played them.
That being said, I’ve heard really good things about Generations (even though I felt the 3DS entry’s level design was abysmal (random pits and obtuse design leading to nonsensical deaths)).
I may get this on sale down the road.

The game looks amazing. But... am I the only one who immediately thought that everything is hard to see? Like, everything is so detailed and such that the backgrounds and foregrounds start to blend and I can't tell what are obstacles and what are bullets, etc.
It's a me problem likely, I know. But I'll likely have to skip this because of it.

@TheAmbienWalrus Ah! SAME! The rally tracks in 3 were always my favorite. I need an entire rally mode if not an entire rally game.
In the meantime, EA sports WRC is pretty solid if you haven’t tried it yet!

Seeing that Impreza makes me so happy. I’ll be picking this game back up when this update drops just so I can get that car.

Ok I watched it. I’m sold. I can’t imagine I’ll be any good at this because I think I’ll be laughing the entire time. Looks insane lol

I’m flabbergasted that I’m reading from lots of you in here that you’re going to skip playing the DLC because there aren’t any trophies…. Like, what?
It makes no sense to me whatsoever that companies would lose thousands of sales because there aren’t trophies. What the heck planet and timeline am I in. 🤦‍♂️

This right here, folks, is one of my most anticipated games coming out. It’s so nice to see it’s still “alive” and coming.

This is something I wish would happen and it actually did.

Nothing to do with religion, it's just a very fitting venue aesthetically and is consistent with the subject matter.
What would you choose: Best Buy, or big box store, or a church. A trailer in a parking lot with a gaming rig or a church.
I'd pick the church over any other venue.

@Fritz167 (playable) demo? There is no playable demo for SH2 unless you’re confusing it with the almost completely unrelated demo for SH: the short message.

It hurts me to see Silent Hill 2 with such low votes.

@PuppetMaster sounds like you should just play the original if you want absolutely nothing changed 🤷‍♂️
I think they modified just enough so that it doesn’t feel like I’m playing the exact same game. Things will be more or less fresh this way.

What else can I say? Enjoy having your eyes bug out of your head, while your tongue rolls out of your mouth like a red carpet, while you pound on the table with a closed fist yelling “AHHH-OOOO-GAH!”

@Hobbesyall Thanks for this. I won't even waste my time watching it now. What's the point of a game trailer if it's not going to show the gameplay? These kinds of trailers are infuriating.

This calls back the late game puzzles in Tunic. Ugh.. that game was freaking amazing and beautiful.
Definitely planning to get this Animal Well game very soon I’m starting to get FOMO.

I’ve only ever played 1 and 2 on their original release. Never touched or looked into any others because I could just tell it was the same thing over and over, re-skinned as we say.
That being said, I did just buy the Ezio collection on sale today (will be playing for the first time since the Xbox 360 days!) and I will be taking a look at black flag remake (if that’s actually a thing) since that seems to be folks’ favorite and it does genuinely seem cool and different.
I always wondered at what point do we find out that assassins creed is actually in the same universe as Hitman? I always thought they were going to reveal that Hitman is actually just assassins creed but in present time.

I’m in Italy right now, just left Florence and now in Rome. Guess who bought the Ezio Collection for 9.99? 😁
Haven’t played it since I think Xbox360 days so I’m excited to revisit…

I’m mainly looking for some Silent Hill 2 news. Everything else is a cherry on top. …and I hope there are a lot of cherries.

PS5 Pro I couldn’t care less about personally but I’ll still want to see what will be so “must have” about it.

Surprise! It’s just a software update that unlocks pro features! Like when Apple turned on the temp sensor in the HomePod mini. Or when Nintendo enabled the Bluetooth feature in switch.
Let me be clear, that’s the only way I’m upgrading, even in the next 3 years.

Personally not at all interested at this point in time.
I’m playing games like streets of rage 4, tunic, slave zero X… all not graphically heavy or taxing on the ps5. Hell, the same games are playable on Switch.
I’m glad they’re pushing the envelope but look at the graphics (previews) on death stranding 2. Insanely good with current hardware.
Oh well…

Perhaps this is because we sort of knew what to expect with FFVII. Why try it when you’re buying it anyway. Lots of people didn’t even question their purchase and knew they were getting it, demo or not.
Stellar Blade is something new more or less so folks want to try it and see if they want to buy.

The whole “…Pass” verbiage was always so cringe to me. What is this, Disneyland?
While on topic, so is the “Pro” verbiage on devices.

Anyway, just came to show my age. Like someone else said above, when I see anything has a “pass” it’s an insta-no-buy from me. If anything I wait until they re-release the base game with everything included, at a discount. Could be years after they release the game but that’s just how it is. 🤷‍♂️

As a newcomer to this series (I haven’t even read about the anime nor do I know the character’s names), all I want to do is drive that bubbly bike piloted by the female on the cover photo for this article around the desert and blow stuff up. It reminds me of a Tron/Death Standing design and I’m here for it.
My friend has this preordered and I think I might join him after reading this article. Going to try the demo first though.

I’m getting it but I still never beat part 1. So…. No rush here.

I’m so excited right now. This 3 minutes of gameplay is going to be more exciting to me than the ~25 minutes of the Nintendo Direct and I’m a HUGE Nintendo fan. I guess I’m an even bigger Elden Ring fan?
Seriously though, ER is my game of the lifetime. I loved Dark Souls and still do but ER is just special.

I was just looking for a PS4/5 version the other day as I thought it had maybe released by now. I can’t believe this game is still tied to Switch, mostly. It’s so good and I highly recommend it if you know even a little about SMT.
Will be buying if this comes to fruition!

First time hearing about it to be honest. It’s going to sound mean but it means nothing to me. I have no reference and so I’ll just wait until someone recommends it to even consider reading about it.

I liked the game when I played it way back in the day… the first one that is… and I always thought the characters were weirdly bulging. I lump that style in with the chibi style. It’s just off-putting.
Quality game though from what I can remember!
I’d rather Halo personally, if only for nostalgia.

I liked it…for what it is, that is.

Some positives: stellar audio (your footsteps change on just about every surface), graphics and atmosphere are immersive (although yeah, the models aren’t too convincing but the atmosphere is) and classic soundtrack.
4 out of 10?

It’s more like a 6. No real gameplay but this is a welcome return/teaser to “silent hill”.
PT did it better but there’s nothing wrong with this at all.
Even if I were blindfolded, just from the audio cues and soundtrack, I’d know this is silent hill. That says a lot and should afford more points/weight.

It’s going to be a tough sale for those who already played it and who know how it ends.
There are A LOT of people who played this. It’s like buying a remastered movie in a way except the price might be a lot higher so the sale of it is a lot harder.

Upset no Elden Ring DLC but don't let the word "upset" lead you too far in the wrong direction. I'm stoked, this was a great state of play. Im enamored over the Death Stranding 2 showcase. Kojima is just beyond words.
Upset is also the wrong word when I say all we have for Silent Hill 2 is "In development for PS5"
Like... no **it, Konami! Not even a Q2, Q3, Q4 piece of news.
The combat looked very gun-heavy and the showcase seemed very combat heavy in general which I didn't care for overall but it's coming along very nicely nonetheless. Combat in Silent Hill was never front and center except for boss battles. Not complaining, just mental dumping lol

Anyway, great SOP! I walked away happy!

That being said, David Hayter or GTFO. Hayter brought the absolute perfect VA to MGS and I won’t take anything else for an answer, including Kiefer Sutherland, although he too had his place.

Trying to not get too greedy here: Silent Hill 2 news alone would make me most happiest and provide me with a solid few months of anticipation and gaming. All else is the icing on top.

This is actually really cool how Sony handled it. Not trashing Nintendo but Nintendo would’ve just swatted it down like a fly. Sony was more like a beekeeper and relocated it to a safer place.

I don't need an internet browser. For those who want it, I hope you get it someday.
Me? I want Sony to focus on system stability and bugs, not updating their browser so it works with some websites. WHY NOT FOCUS ON GAMES.... ?

Folders would be nice.

Themes... meh... the background switches when selecting games so the "dynamic" nature of it is preferred for me I suppose.

I’ve been playing Dark Souls again to break things up a little but as soon as I beat Ornstein and Smough again I’ll be diving back into Elden Ring to get primed for the DLC.
I couldn’t beat Malenia solo the first go-round so I’ll be trying that on this NG+ run. Can’t wait to be utterly obliterated by water fowl with the increased difficulty.

Wow the juxtaposition of Dark Souls and Nier is spot on. I dig.
It’s hard for me to enjoy other Soulslikes when I know they are sort of trying to be like the real deal. There’s something about this one though that intrigues me! To the list you go!

I've gotta agree with @DennisReynolds, I came to say something similar about how the game is like a movie, so making a movie sort of makes this like some kind of weird coming-full-circle thing.
A movie, based on a game that's based on movies. Only this time it's not interactive so .. it's just a movie.
I wonder if it will take on its own story or be just loosely based on the scenario (winter cabin, stereotypical tropes, a slasher on the loose, people go missing, etc.) of the game?

Yep — I'll be buying this physically to go along with my TLOU part I PS5 version. I wonder if they'll do a "box-set"/"master collection" of sorts?

The 60fps is appreciated but if there’s a way to turn that down to 30 I’m doing it. I want full retro, no holds barred, authenticity.

This looks awesome- I’ll be getting it on switch though if it performs well enough. Maybe 30fps will even be enforced on that version!
