Re: Razer Boss Lashes Out at Gen AI, But Says Gamers Would 'Love' AI to Streamline Dev Cycles

AverageGamer

@Nem I would have agreed with you when I was middle school, and had years to wait... I'm turn 30 this year, and we still haven't seen GTA6, or the next Elder Scrolls... etc. The last games in these franchises came out when I was between the ages of 13-15. At this rate, I'll be pushing 50 (That's even if I make it to 50) before I even think about sequel to a lot of games.

Re: Dragon Ball Z Action RPG Kakarot Tops a Mighty 10 Million Sales

AverageGamer

@Rodimusprime13 "With more game releases the older games will tend to come down in price to around $20"

You don't need more games releasing for the game to drops to $20. The price will fall with age, and DLC releases. And you can usually wait for a Ultimate Edition that has all DLC + base games.

"The DLC's often tend to be priced close to the price of a full game for only a few hours of gameplay"

Most the DLC for this game have general been in the $14 dollar range. Yeah. DAIMA - Adventure pack is $40, but that gave a new entire map to explore

The only people who thing they should have split it up is people like you who are trying bloat their trophy list with stupid simple platinums

Re: PS5 Reportedly Hands Forza Horizon 5 an Additional 5 Million Sales

AverageGamer

@AndroidBango The question is how many of that 5 million are repeat buyer or new buyers tho. Cause I own FH5 on 3 different platforms… Steam, Xbox, and I purchased FH5 last week on PS5. My friends owns it on Steam cause I gifted him a copy the Christmas it came out, and he purchased it also last week to play on PS5 using his racing setup.

Re: 'It's Coming to a Turning Point': Persona, Metaphor Director Says Atlus RPGs Must Attract 'A Wider Audience'

AverageGamer

@HOWARDSROCK No one is saying that this has to sell 20 million copies. 3-5 million is average success for a AAA games. And it only hit that after a year, multiple sales, and long term word of mouth. KCD2 has also basically hit the same sales numbers… If you had told me this was closing in on 10 million. Then we would be having a different conversation 🤷

Re: More Digimon Games Incoming as Time Stranger's Success Sees Dev Team Expand

AverageGamer

This is neither good or bad news. During the early and mid 2000s, they used to dump out a bunch of Digimon games... But a lot of it wasn't very good. (I own a lot of them across the DS, Vita, PSP, and Playstation)

What made time stranger great was that it was actually a big budget digimon game not limited by weaker tech of handhelds systems. More digimon is always great, but... it need to match the same quality

Re: Ex-PlayStation Boss Believes Exclusives Make Consoles 'Sing'

AverageGamer

@TheArt “ If games were everywhere, who would even bother with a low powered console like Switch. It would be about the highest powered console available to play everything.”

Not at all remotely true. It would be about what provides the most unique experience and features. Nintendo had Mario and Zelda for ages, but that didn’t stop the Game Cube, N64, and WiiU from selling poorly.

PlayStation has never done well based on exclusives. PlayStation has always out sold their competitors based on lower prices and offer unique features (CD and DVD playback). The switch does well because it the only reasonable handheld platform on the market.

Re: Disappointment as PS2 All-Timer SoulCalibur 3 Launches on PS5, PS4 without Trophies

AverageGamer

@somnambulance I’m with you one this! 💯

It was cool during the PS3/360, it peaked during the PS4/Xbone… Now it just annoying. It take the want out of playing games.

“Oh look! You decided to play this one game. Now it’s a stain on your profile cause you never decided to finish it or continue playing”

Got people out here making alt accounts to test run game before playing on their main

Re: Hogwarts Legacy, Mortal Kombat Publisher Warner Bros Bought for $82 Billion by Netflix

AverageGamer

Warner Bro has done nothing but dig itself a massive MASSIVE grave for the last decade. Nothing but cancelation, after cancelation on show, movie, video, firing people like the voice of Beast boy just cause he was diagnosis with Parkinson's disease. All the fake tax write off. Death of Cartoon Network. Warner Bro has been nothing but complete and utter GARGABE tier company. If anything, this purchase may actually be a GOD tier life saver... If not, Warner Bro would have been dead company in 10 years anyway, and Netflix would be buying these IP on a fire sale. At least maybe we can get a few more years out of these IP...

Re: 'Terrible' Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 European Sales Are a Devastating 63% Below Battlefield 6

AverageGamer

@Nepp67 The switch from the rotation mainly has to do with the fact Sledgehammer can’t make a CoD game to save their lives. They was supposed make Cold War with Raven Software, but development went no where. So treyarch was pulled in to lead development. Sledgehammer was hit the heaviest of the CoD studios with lay off, so I doubt they’ll lead a CoD title for a bit. But the rotation was due to have mainly 1 main studio + several support studio assisting with development. But Treyarch hasn’t solely developed a game since BO4. The last 3 BO games has had 2 main studios + several support studios.

Re: PS5 Fans Say Ghost of Yotei Plays Better, But Can't Match Ghost of Tsushima's Story or Hero

AverageGamer

@QiaraIris I know it a fifferent story, different region, different motivations, different gameplay mechanic, different time settings, and even a different adoption of the moniker "ghost"

I didn’t mean sequel in the term that Yotai is a literal sequel to Tsushima. I meant sequel as it continuation of the franchise. I just don’t know the correct term for that 🤷

An no, I haven’t played Yotai cause I’m waiting for it eventual release on PC where I can pick up for $20 and a pack of beer.

Re: Blizzard Once Again Shuts Down World of Warcraft Console Talk

AverageGamer

@KingPev That 6 million is only cause they recently shipped a new expansions. It quickly falls to under 5 million when people are done with finish the expansion. It been steady declining and it in a worse state than when Microsoft started the purchase of Activision. When your company was purchased as part of deal for $70 billion... Pulling in less than 6 million is not a good look which why Blizzard has had multiple project canceled.

Yeah, other MMO would love a 6 million sub count, but their company probably aren't even remotely worth a couple million.

Re: Rumour: Halo 2, Halo 3 Remakes Also Purportedly Planned for PS5

AverageGamer

@Dan12836666 @carlos82 Given the absolute horrible state that MCC launched on Xbox One… Not only took months to fix. But forced them rethink their entire process when porting the game to PC. They released one by one on PC and still had issues. Attempting to port MCC to PS5 would be another nightmare.

Releasing the games separately and remaking them for PS5 is a way better idea.
