Avowed, the Obsidian RPG that released on Xbox and PC back in February, is getting some major updates throughout the rest of 2025 — meaning that it should be in tiptop shape when it eventually comes to PS5.
As we all know, Microsoft is rather open about bringing its Xbox-driven titles to Sony's current-gen console these days, and it's long been expected that Avowed will make the jump at some point. It's just a question of when.
Anyway, the developer's given players a post-launch support roadmap that covers three key updates. Its big spring patch is live right now, bringing a bunch of improvements to the fantasy adventure — but it's the summer and autumn / fall updates that seem especially juicy.
Obsidian's promising new abilities, equipment, a New Game+ mode, a photo mode, a whole new weapon type, additional character customisation options, various quality of life enhancements, and more.

We should probably point out that we've heard next to nothing about Avowed actually coming to PS5 since rumours started flying ahead of its Xbox and PC release. At the time, director Carrie Patel seemingly came close to spilling the beans in an interview.
