🤔 Dotemu you say? Just platinum’d Shredder’s Revenge twice because it was so fun. Looking into Absolum and Cosmic Invasion next. I hate Scott Pilgrim but I do love a good beat’em up so I might get this.

I rate game reviewers the same way everyone else does. If they reviewer agrees with me, they’re an awesome reviewer! If they don’t agree with me, then they’re a terrible reviewer. Isn’t that how it works?

@Ichiban ND releases are like when Hulk Hogan used to only fight on pay-per-view. The main eventers are rarely seen but always worth the price if admission.

This industry burns through cash like they know they’ll get a government bailout. This has to be so costly!

The Fable series mirrors Saints Row in his the first game is the only good one. I played Fable on a non-gaming PC with the worst specs available at the time (on a typewriter, I think) and loved it. Then I tried the subsequent games on Xbox and they were terrible. Anyway, looking forward to this one as it looks right up my alley from what I’ve seen so far.

Achilles: Legends Untold. A low/mid Diablo clone with soulslike qualities. Having fun with it.

@KonstantTrouble you, sir… are full of 💩. The number of players who absolutely love the 2 games you’re trying to diminish vastly outnumber the ones who supposedly returned it to GameStop. Even those that group is quite vocal, they’re not as important as they think themselves to be.

@RagnarLothbrok absolutely! They’re one dev I see and want to immediately check it out. But, I still need to finish the first Greedfall game.

Edit: and as an avid action/adventure gamer, I must say. This GEN has truly captivated me! I know so many find this generation to be a failure. But I absolutely love it! There’s a new action/adventure/action RPG at every turn!

I tried it. But the 3rd person mode was too janky for me to enjoy it. Hadn’t heard a thing about it so wasn’t sure how successful it had been.

I remember these games. Some of the worst playing and worst looking games I’ve ever played. To this day! TO THIS DAY!!!!

@Kienda I played it religiously for 10 years. Was a launch day player and played it daily up until October 20, 2025 when I canceled my subscription and stopped playing.

I absolutely love the game but I felt that it took me away from playing other games. I was so stuck on it that I was missing out on solo games. Since I’ve left it, I’ve platinum’d Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Echoes of the End, and twice platinum’d TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge and TMNT: Splintered Fate. I just wanted more time for solo gaming.

Long story long. I absolutely love ESO. It’s definitely not too late to get back in as you’ll find new players joining daily. Of course it gets toxic because it’s an MMO. But you’ll find high ranked guilds who are very welcoming to new players.

Doesn’t show much. But, as a diehard fan of ESO, I’d have given it a shot. Although, I do prefer swords and swashbuckling to spaceships and space lasers.

Most new games have been PS5 only though. It’s been that way for a while now. Exclusives anyway.

I upgraded back to Premium so I can stream on my Portal. It’s been a blast being able to play games like this. On topic though. None of these tickle my fancy.

Hot take: The Ubisoft hate is overblown. Nothing they’ve released in the past 10 years has been a bad game. People talk about this dev like they’re the Uwe Boll gaming. But they’re more like the Kevin Smith of gaming.

Platinum’d TMNT: Splintered Fate a 2nd time and now on to Absolum and Achilles.

Love this pick! Feels weird to see Thor play Kratos though. Can’t beat’em, be’em lol.

Loved it for a bit. Then lost interest when I’d put in all the hard work, only to be jumped by a couple of players who claimed to be friendly.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is absolutely missing from this list. Easily top 10!

@SeaDaVie I mean. Men are allowed to be ugly and be the main. Hell, they’re even allowed to be monkeys apparently. But a monkey female protagonist would’ve flopped miserably! In Black Myth though. If you were to put a female monkey protagonist in a game like Sly Cooper, it would do fine.

I knew it! From the videos and gameplay they released I knew this would be terrible. Surprisingly, the screens posted here are not pitch black blobs like the shots and videos I’d seen previously.

@SuntannedDuck2 fair. But no one really counts those other games, right? I mean, they do exist. But that’s before ND sat up in the chair and started playing for real. 😀

I’ve been really into beat’em ups lately. Just platinum’d TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge twice. That’s after platinuming Streets of Rage 4. Now I’m playing TMNT: Splintered Fate and living up Absolum in a couple days. Also, waiting for a price drop for Cosmic Invasion, as one of my New Year’s resolutions is to not buy any game that’s more than $20.

Naughty Dog has never released a bad game! They’ve not released many games. But every game they put out is anticipated like no other. Yes, they’re divisive. Can’t help that. Keep doing it big ND! ✌🏾

I was stuck on Elder Scrolls Online for 10 years so I get it.

Bought it recently when it was on sale for $20. It’s a really good game! Why does Ubisoft release games in a where no one wants to play them, then updates them to be really good? I swear, they need a whole department to focus on why they do such things.

I’ve been doing my resolution since November: Buy no game for more than $30. Last game I bought is TMNT: Splintered Fate for $11.99. Gaming is just too damn expensive nowadays.

@MrPeanutbutterz hmm. That sucks. I’m happy I didn’t have to rebuild. Hell, I started a new game fully powered and built. “Death March” was anything but. Hopefully this works the same with the rumored upcoming DLC.

@MrPeanutbutterz I mean, I loaded my game save from the PS4 version and didn’t have to change my build at all. Maybe that’s the difference?

My build was a 100% burn build using the Gryphon set. Worked perfectly!

@Odium have the most fun with Outlaws! That lunch really did a number on the game. If it had launched in the state it’s in today, it’s a GOTY contender.

Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Both really fun games that I thought I’d hate.

@MrPeanutbutterz nothing really changed that much. I played the PS5 version and the only significant change was the way Signs were cast. I was still able to use my PS4 build just fine.

PS: Hopefully this new DLC will release with the rest of the game and there’ll be another platinum. Would love to platinum this game for a 6th time.

You guys see the videos for Code Violet? It’s pure darkness. Like, there’s gotta be better footage out there to showcase the game.

Also. Seeing all these. How much you wanna bet there’ll be a bevy of “There’s no games to play!” comments.

This year broke the Sony cycle. But I’m a hater because a turn-based game did it. GG anyway E33.

@MrStark I agree with him being overrated. Never really got that deep to hate his writing. Just his games a too boring for me to delve that deeply into them.
