@ramklov1993 lol yeah. I’ve always found polls to be ridiculous like that. When they releases these polls they should directly state how many people were polled right in the headline. Like, “Only 4% of the 1200 PlayStation users polled believe Premium is worth the money”.

I pay for Premium because my son uses it to its fullest extent. He’s 17 and plays a ton of the retro stuff. We also share my account so I’m essentially paying for 2 accounts in one.

That being said. If you don’t take advantage of what the service offers then yes, you’re wasting your money. I’d have thought all those “I want backward compatibility” people would love having the retro library at their fingertips. I’ve also always suspected that those wanting BC just want it as an option and not necessarily an option they’d actually use.

Also, let’s be honest here. The only reason anyone prefers GamePass is for the day 1 new releases they put on the service. The best parts of the Xbox library are now available on PlayStation. Everyone talks about the vastly superior thing that Game Pass is, but if we start getting day 1 releases on Premium y’all would say it well worth the subscription.

Finally. I’ll admit that I’m not a fan of streaming becoming so popular in gaming. We all see what it’s done to the music and TV industries. Are we ready for every publisher to charge a monthly to access their games? Because Game Pass has been spearheading that possible scenario. The wildest thing is to see those who, in one breath, bemoan not having physical releases of games, then turn around and say how much they love Game Pass. 🤷🏾‍♂️

@Th3solution this is the nature of gamers and fandom in general. I always say that no one hates a thing more than someone who’s a fan of said thing. These people seem to relish in griping instead of just leaving alone the thing they seem to now despise.

Not sure if this is tariff-related but, I renewed my monthly Premium this morning and it was $20.38. Normally I’d pay a flat $17.99. Now there’s tax? Doubly sucks as the price has increased and they’ve taken away the Stars rewards for the subscription.

I’ve been playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard for months now and have quite a few RPGs left to tackle (Lords of the Fallen, Dragon’s Dogma II). At this rate I’ll be playing RPGs till I’m 60.

@DennisReynolds they might’ve survived. GoT was still mostly “traditional” case members. With TLOU, there’s a mixture of the death, and also the same-sex romance.

@dskatter You think any of these 1 reviews are people who actually watched the full show up to that point? I doubt it! The 1’s are lamenting wokeness and same-sex love scenes. I know quite a few people who hated that Joel died. None of them now say the show is a 1/10. Granted, I don’t know all the 1/10 reviewers. Still…

@dskatter that isn’t equal to what I said! You’re not reviewing Joel’s death, you’re reviewing the show. You’re asked to review something as a whole. Not a single part of it. “Oh, the episode is an 8. But Joel died so I give it a 1!” That’s a valid opinion to you?

Not all negative reviews are review bombing. But if you liked the show and have it a 7 or 8, then give it a 1 after Joel died then that’s definitely review bombing!

Like, I’m no fan of first person shooters, but I can play one and give you my valid review. I won’t just turn it on, see it as a first person shooter, and call it a bad game.

For all those who think Pascal dying is valid reason to give the show a bad score then you’ve probably engaged in this idiotic behavior.

@Frmknst most who complain about the lack of backward compatibility don’t even utilize it when it’s an option. You notice rereleases of old games never show up on anyone’s playlists? They just like to complain.

Last time I chastised Nintendo I was chastised by another using for chastising Nintendo. So this time I’ll just say Nintendo is the most bestest, consumer-friendly game company ever! @Unlucky13 I play Elder Scrolls Online religiously. I'm amazed when I see videos of people playing it in first person. Like, there are so many things you have to get out of an such you have to see your teammates doing that I'm puzzled how this works for some in first person camera.

@CthulhuFhtagn I say "Winds howling!" when it's really windy and "Hmm...?" in that Geralt growl when I'm thinking about something lol.

@Atreus97 I’ll say the same. I tried it twice and just couldn’t get into it. But after giving it another chance it drew me in and is now my favorite video game. Funny too, because I also hated Skyrim after trying it a few times, giving The Witcher 3 a chance lead me to do the same for Skyrim. I’m now an Elder Scrolls die hard fan!

Oblivion. Haven’t played the remaster but it’s Elder Scrolls. Indy is first person and Clair is turn-based. Nothing else really matters to me.

Not really. Gives me a chance to finally play V before it comes out. I likely won’t play V. But now I have more time to not play V before IV releases.

Consumer prices are being increased at 3x to 4x consumer pay. Something wicked this way comes and I don’t think it’ll end well for the world at large.

It's becoming so hard to be a consumer of anything (even food). They're pricing people out of every aspect of life. For instance, I'm a Bank Manager and I've seen car prices go from the $25k-$35k three years ago to around $45k-65k now. Just had a customer trade in a 2018 vehicle he paid $284 a month for, now his payment on a 2024 is $864. Meanwhile, they're refusing to give anyone a salary increase.

Possibly the best Metroidvania I've ever played and one of the most fun games I've played this gen. Highly recommend this one! After putting much time into it, I recommended it to quite a few people and none of them have been disappointed by the game itself. The puzzles though. They'll kick your butt. And some have been disappointed by that!

@PlatinumMikey for real! I'm absolutely loving Veilguard and would like to play it again. However, I'm 113 hours in and only 68% complete. I know people on their 5th playthrough. There's no way I'm gonna give it a 2nd go with so many other games out there to play.

I've tried to play this a few times and just couldn't get into it. Just nothing caught me and pulled me in. It's not the first, nor second, nor third, game I've said this about so maybe there's still hope. The Witcher III, Skyrim, and Elder Scrolls Online are all games that I found to be utterly boring or overhyped when I first played them and now they all rank as some of my favorite games I've ever played.

I'll never say what a company can and can't charge. Simply because it comes down to whatever someone is willing to pay for it. However, the people who are defending having to pay more for something are insane! How can you support a company so far as to be OK with them charging you more to support them? It's madness!

@Dodoo I agree! Don’t understand why such an iconic character like Indy should be relegated to just being a hand on the screen. Seems like a missed opportunity.

I’ve not played the game but I’m told there are mechanics in there that couldn’t be done in 3rd person. Then again, I was told the same about Elder Scrolls games and I play those games exclusively in 3rd person.
