Replace the CEO with AI. At least when an AI inevitably has to apologize it will feel more human.

The community is incredibly toxic. Even though they can't say what they would in an old Call of Duty lobby, they're still incredibly rude and take the game WAY too seriously.

I'm currently playing through the game and I don't see what the hype is all about. I have friends that keep going back to do more playthroughs but as I'm playing I'm feeling the experience kinda...meh. Like, I love the aesthetic but then you see like the same 6 NPCs with their weird ass walk cycles and then even the immersion breaks. I don't really enjoy the combat, I don't enjoy the stealth, I don't enjoy the driving and while I do think the characters are at least passable, this game really doesn't do anything special in any regard. I really wanted to like this game but I'm kinda happy that I held out until it was released on Extra.

My patience with Cyberpunk has been rewarded. Though they might get me with the DLC.

I'm surprised this show keeps going and I'm even more surprised Sony hasn't cashed in on it with another game.

What an absolute trainwreck. Microsoft is actually BAD for the industry. Not "for the gamers" at all. That lying Scumbag Phil Spencer should resign.

When lives are destroyed and companies shuttered, never forget that nothing bad ever happens to CEOs. If they do have to leave, they get a nice massive bonus that could have fed multiple employees that were let go. What a garbage system.

I dunno man, if you check out interviews with him it seems like that's exactly the way he wanted it to go. If anything, he probably had a bit TOO much input on the show.

Maybe if Microsoft hadn't wasted all that cash on buying up studios and instead had invested in their already owned properties things might have been different.

I'm ready for a very productive discussion about this game and the people who play them.

Seregios was pretty easy even tempered but man Lagi took around 20 minutes to hunt. These new monsters have all been very fun to hunt. Who would have known having patience would pay off?

If you only want to play the newest first party games you probably hate PlayStation subscription. If you are fine with a mix of indie and older AA/AAA games you probably really enjoy the value you get from the service.

I honestly do not care about AI. It has become too ingrained in our lives that if you try to fight it, you're putting up a futile battle. It's here, it's staying, you gotta accept it.

Let's say you really enjoyed the Alters. Perhaps it's one of your favorite games this year. Would finding out that it had some AI work in it retroactively take away your enjoyment of the game?

Remember to crack open those PS5 's from time to time! Sony has made it easier than ever to get to the parts that might get dirty so you don't have to worry about damaging your PS5 to get the fans clean.

I mainly use the wishlist to track DLC. Since there are so many it really fills the list up quickly.

Not a fan of futbol besides having it on at the background during get togethers. That being said, if it serves as competition for EA, I'm all for it doing well.

I will now try your Gacha. With smart saving you can get any character you want. Imo it should never be difficult to pull for a character, they can just make their money off cosmetics. Cosmetics that you can't get if you don't have the character. So it's in their best interest to make sure that at least the character is easy to acquire.

The gameplay itself was excellent but the story wasn't great. Even if you did enjoy that aspect, it dragged on by the end.

Civ 7 was a big disappointment, Oblivion was a fun nostalgia trip but so far for me The Alters is what's really sticking with me.

Edit: I totally forgot Wilds came out this year too. While I eventually got bored of it, playing with friends and just grinding for armor was one of the highlights of this year. I think I'll still give it to the Alters though.

Second I heard it was some extraction shooter my interest plummeted beyond saving.

Final fantasy was always turn based RPG to me. I hate this edgy action stuff they've been doing lately and haven't bought any of them.

Unsurprising, should have seen what the monster hunter community was doing and still is doing.

I don't want to pay $80 for an unfinished game. Simple as.

I now find it pretty incredible that they tried to spin this into "they're attacking our game unjustly." It was no doubt an attempt to get a head of any criticism.

Terrible idea to purchase outright, which makes the Gamepass offering all the more enticing. Xbox really wants you in that subscription ecosystem.

I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. I was skeptical on P3Reload but they really knocked it out of the park. That said, I'm not sure exactly how eager I am to go back to 4 again. Was really hoping we'd finally get to play as an adult. Either in a college setting or as a salaryman. There'd be so much more to explore from a more grown up perspective.

If you aren't a fan of souls likes or Hades likes there was maybe 10 minutes worth of stuff to watch. State of Play was WAY better in way less time.

I think Naughty Dog have the pedigree to do whatever they want and continue to make money. Sex sells but a solid reputation can also do wonders for you. That being said, many people will judge a new developer by their cover (in this case their art style) and, unless you make a masterpiece of a game, players simply will not try what you have to offer unless they really like how the characters look.

Did you guys see all the blood and violence? Hell yeah, so much blood!

Really happy to see Japanese developers have a chance to shine. They have a distinct style to their games and I'm glad Sony isn't burying them in favor of showcasing more western studios for once.

We'll need to wait and see how SB performs on PC to get a fuller picture. Not that I'm going to discount Clair Obscur's success but again that game is nearly a masterpiece in it's own right. Stellar Blade by my own admission doesn't stir the pot, it doesn't redefine the action game genre...and because of that, it wouldn't have stood out nearly as much if it didn't have an attractive main character to help win people over.

Bad games don't fail because of "wokeness"...but it helps. Good games don't succeed because they are filled with sex bait...but it helps.

Seems the demographic is pretty big if they keep pandering to it and those that don't are struggling more and more.

The simple truth is that an average game with an attractive character will be an easier sell than one without. So those that want to avoid the male gaze really need to make sure their game is damn near a masterpiece to attract the crowd that only plays 9s and 10s.

But I thought she was being forced to walk around in a bikini and needed us to save her? 😢

I suppose that's why the big 3 are so hungry to turn more of their franchises into big TV shows and movies. It really does drive up interest in the old games.

Nope, Rine Factory 5 which I believe was only released on Switch and Steam.

Excellent, I skipped the last RF because it didn't release on PlayStation.

An interesting bit of trivia. Here I play games like Nikke, ZZZ and all those other "gooner games" and yet I've never gotten a single ad like that. Perhaps they've mixed the two of us up?

I'd still consider Clair Obscure to have traditionally attractive characters though. Sure they didn't have sex dolls but they also didn't try to be brave and stir the pot with Concord designs.
