Great console, great games. However it lacks a proper identity, partly due to the number of games still releasing on PS4. Those proper PS5 exclusives are quite rare. Also the mismanagement of Sony’s live service push this gen has absolutely impacted the rate at which we get first-party releases.
Was in a queue of about 500,000. Took maybe 10-13mins to get into the game. Not that big of an issue if this is the standard experience for most players.
This game looks absolutely awesome. I think they’ve cooked up something that will turn out great. I do hope those fighting sections can maintain a smooth 60fps, because that will be delightful.
With the Premier League back my gaming time has fallen, but I’ve still managed to chug away at Mafia: The Old Country, which is a great game. My favourite part is the location; Sicily is stunning! There are so many games coming out soon it’s not even funny. Gears is definitely next up, then Silksong. Happy weekend everybody!
How about remove all the shovelware on your platform Sony? Put a quality-control check in place and remove the absolute garbage that is, undeniably, impacting real developers and preventing users from seeing real games worth paying attention to.
The series in totality has sold more than 500 million copies. Small number, eh! It’s not going away any time soon. I’m also confident Black Ops 7 is going to be awesome. BF6 looks great too, so I'm getting both this year.
Proud to say I got the platinum in Marvel Rivals close to its launch back in December. Never been back since. (Adding additional trophies for new heroes would have tempted me back tho.) Great game, all things considered.
Got the plat in The Callisto Protocol. Awesome game, perfect length. Now onto to RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business. It’s excellent. I really encourage anyone who liked the first game to jump on in and support Teyon. A great studio who are pumping out some awesome work with these games.
I would argue that watching Netflix and YouTube via apps on PlayStation is a much smoother experience than their built-in versions on TV. Everything’s in one place, and the navigation with the controller is smooth.
@Kidfunkadelic83 completely agree. At this point it’s clear those who hate Neil are nothing more than ideologues. I say let them winge, as nothing they say or do will take away the achievements and success Neil has had in his career. (And they will still buy Intergalactic btw)
Busy watching the Women's Euros so my gaming time has dipped, however that hasn’t stopped me from starting The Callisto Protocol! Only a few hours in but I’m liking it so far. Will probably get the platinum. Passed 30 hours in Splitgate 2. It’s great, and I would love the platinum in that too because it’s just so damn grindy! It would be a great achievement. Happy gaming everyone!
Maybe George RR Martin could learn a thing or two from Neil. 🤣 In all seriousness, Neil is a fantastic writer and director, who for a mixture of baffling reasons gets hate thrown his way.
I highly recommend checking out Jusant. It’s a wonderfully crafted game that does something that few games can achieve: tell a compelling story without uttering a single word. (be sure to read the notes on the way!) It’s an easy platinum too!
Leading up to GTA 6 my plan is to check out a bunch of similar games, that is third person open-world games with cities! So Watchdogs Legion is currently on the docket. It’s quite good. I’m surprised how detailed this police state version of London actually is. Happy weekend all!
I always say find a balance: pay for games full price when you can if you’re interested, wait for some games to on sale, and if you have a subscription service wait for games to arrive there. This way you’re not going to the two extremes (that’s buying everything day 1 or buying nothing at all).
The internet seems to have universally agreed that the game is bad. I don’t think it looks anywhere near as horrible as others are saying. The crappy performance, however, is inexcusable. But a patch or two should fix it up. Anyways, looking forward to the written review.
Sucks! A single player, open world Black Panther game actually sounds promising. Don’t care about Skate, Apex, Sims, and Mass Effect is a shell of itself now. Maybe the Iron Man game finds its way out. Anyways, best wishes to all who are laid off.
GTA 3! Awesome! It’s interesting to note that GTA: San Andreas (definitive edition) was added to PS Extra a while ago (it’s since been taken out of the service), and i think Vice City was added to gamepass a while ago too. They refuse to give you the entire set all at once! Vice City needs to come to PS Extra at some point, to hype up GTA 6!
Got the platinum in RoboCop: Rogue City. Excellent game; I really enjoyed my time with it, and I can’t wait to pick up the DLC in July. I’ve moved on to Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights. 3 hours in so far but it’s an intriguing Metroidvania that’s scratching the Hollow Knight itch.
I’m really rooting for the India Hero Project. I’ll be keeping a close eye on this one. Here’s to a successful launch and a promising future for game development in India!
@Zeldorf Unlikely. He’s busy directing for an emmy-winning, mega hit TV show and writing, producing, and directing for Naughty Dog (you know, one of the great video game studios of all time). 😉
I unfortunately ran into a progression bug (boo!) in Star Wars Jedi Survivor, so sadly my playthrough is at an end. After this I started playing the excellent Robocop: Rogue City that I snagged as part of PS Plus earlier this year. It’s honestly exceeded all expectations: it’s bloody brilliant! Hunting the platinum as we speak.
Continuing my play through of Star Wars Jedi Survivor, and I’m enjoying it quite a bit. I’ve just started playing The Midnight Walk (playing on flatscreen but can be played on PSVR2) and it’s quite charming. It’s an easy platinum too, which is always nice for us trophy hunters!

Yeah the team that gave us Ghost of Tsushima and the team that’s going to smash it with its sequel should go back and make, uh, Sly Cooper…

Hate it see it go! I grabbed a decent amount of £5 gifts on there. PlayStation needs some sort of rewards program in the future.
