I’m actually really interested in this game. The reaction online seems somewhat lukewarm at best, but I think this game has a lot going for it. Here’s to a successful launch!
Phew! Felt a bit guilty not getting it day one! Busy with Star Wars Jedi Survivor, and I’m planning on playing some of those PSVR 2 games leaving Extra. Will pick up Clair Obscur later this year, along with Indiana Jones too.
After getting the plat in AC Shadows, I decided I needed a break. So ive been catching up with reading, movies, and TV. (The new season of Black Mirror is excellent and utterly heartbreaking at times!) Indiana Jones will probably be my next game.
I find it baffling how many people want this game to fail. Look: Ive played it for about 24 hours, and it’s better than a lot games releasing at the moment. It’s incredibly high quality, with great gameplay, gorgeous graphics, sublime use of menus and a great attention to the minutiae. In this gamer’s humble opinion it deserves all the success it’s clearly getting.
What a shame. Double Exposure is a great game, made by a really talented bunch of developers who are often looked down upon from hardcore fans of series.
It’s pretty good! The game is stunning (playing on PS5 pro). This is my first AC, but im definitely going back and checking the earlier entries after i beat Shadows.
@ShogunRok Thanks for the review! I will read it once I’ve finished it myself. Just one question though: is Shadows a good jumping in point for someone who hasn’t played AC before? Any prior knowledge of story required?
Trying to beat Call of Duty Black ops 3 on realistic (solo). It’s very, very tough! But I want the bragging rights (and trophies, more importantly). Also replaying The Last of Us 2 on a permadeath setting, which isn’t as difficult as it sounds if you wack it on very easy.
Many will celebrate this and view such closers as a ‘win’ for the industry, hoping for it to rear itself back to more single player experiences. But I wonder: if it was their jobs on the line would people celebrate with suck glee?
Looking forward to it. The game will sell millions, and it will be universally acclaimed. All of this despite the naysayers and whiny wingebags. Let NG cook!
PlayStation, get a committee together who actually plays games and sit down and run a quality control check on your own store. Then, perhaps, actual games worth playing from smaller, actually talented developers will get the attention they deserve instead of garbage.
How anyone can complain at this recent showcase is frankly baffling! It was so stacked full of games. Tides of Annihilation, MindsEye, and Borderlands 4 struck me the most.
Just started Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip and it’s pretty fun. (I wouldn’t have discovered this title without Pushsquare writing a piece on it, so thanks!) I’m also closing in on the platinum for Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution, which requires a LOT of duels to plat. Looking forward to checking out Lost Records too on the 18th. Happy gaming lads!
Might have time to squeeze in Outer Worlds before it departs. I’ll begrudgingly sacrifice a platinum run to make it quicker. Tales of Arise and Scarlet Nexus I’ll pick up on sale.
Mmhh. I wonder what other game genre Sony is trying to pursue fits this similar framework. Hint: starts with Live ends with Service! It’s almost as if you need to make these other types of games to, I don’t know, fund the $200 million dollar single player game. The PlayStation hardcore fan base need to wrap their head around this.
I think it looks pretty decent. I’m a fan of teen slashers that many would consider bad (Urban Legend anyone?), so this seems like an okay watch for me!

I love turn-based combat, but who can honestly say with a straight face that Final Fantasy 16 doesn’t play like an absolute dream.

Did my part and bought Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment. I wanted to push Xbox to port their games over to PlayStation, voting with your wallet and all that.
