How Much Will GTA 6 Cost? Poll

This time next week, pre-orders for GTA 6 will be live, and there'll finally be an official price attached to the PS5 release.

In the years leading up to 25th June 2026, when retailers will set their listings live, there's been a lot of debate over what the price of GTA 6 will be.

Some think Rockstar will use the excitement as an opportunity to increase the cost beyond $70, while others reckon the developer will stick to the current norm for AAA releases. Next week, those conversations come to an end as Rockstar reveals the price of pre-orders.

One of the reasons why some people think Rockstar should go beyond the current $70 standard is to actually help out other developers. In a time when game development is more expensive than ever, it's argued that GTA 6 costing more allows other studios to justify raising their prices too. As such, they would see a higher return for each sale of a game.

However, the Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has argued its job is to actually charge "way, way less" than what the game is actually worth based on its value. "How you feel about something you buy is the intersection of the thing itself and what you pay for it. Consumers need to feel like the thing itself is amazing and the price they were charged was fair for what they got," Zelnick explained a few months ago.

There are intriguing arguments on both sides of the debate, so where do you land? Do you expect GTA 6 to come out at $70, or will Rockstar bump the price up? Have your say in our latest Poll.

To be clear, we're asking you the price of the standard PS5 version. There'll almost certainly be pricy editions promising bonus content and extra items, but for the purposes of this Poll, we're focusing on the most basic entry method to GTA 6 and its base-level content.
