Re: Pinhead Is Back! Single Player Hellraiser Horror Revealed for PS5

zhoont

That first Hellraiser movie is a certified classic, I haven't seen the others. Really liked the cenobite in Dead by Daylight, but he's too hard to play on controller when your opponents are competent. More single player horror games are right up my alley. Hoping there's third-person and lots of nudity

@Nepp67 I mean the rivers flood and you can get sandstorms, but other than that yes I agree completely. I have a few disappointments about DS2. Like why does the bike have only a couple upgrades (no tires?!), why is the roadster missing from the game completely, why is the coffin board so cool but you damage your cargo if you land 2 inches onto the ground (tar!), why are you dripfed standard orders such that there's basically none to take on during the story, WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?

Re: VRR Gives Cyberpunk 2077 a Massive Performance Boost on PS5 Pro, Up to 120FPS

I wish CD Project would just tell me they're not gonna be doing a Pro update so I can safely sit down and tackle the game again. There have been so many good updates I just keep putting off another playthrough because I want to play it when it's in a truly completed state. The only other thing I could want is mod support and/or more clothes and customization options.

Re: Ghost of Yotei PS5 a Similar Length to Ghost of Tsushima, Same Scope

zhoont

I thought that direct sequels, in the sense that they use and build upon the same engine, gameplay systems, etc. would have either a grander scope or a much higher quality of experience overall or maybe in story. I was just let down by 5 years waiting for Death Stranding 2 and getting what I thought was a terrible final arc to the story, and a similar scope map to the original. If Ghost of Yotei is going to be similar in scope to Tsushima it better blow my socks off in other ways. I don't think it's reasonable, but I don't feel satisfied by the idea of just another Tushsima entry. It's gotta be better.

Re: Death Stranding 2: Who Should Voice Charlie on the DHV Magellan?

zhoont

Lmao I've been regretting picking Die Hardman. Glad I don't need to anymore. He was the best pick because he just feels right, but I was so curious if they actually got Margaret Qualley to voice the entire game to that extent... and I felt like a change of commentary since Die Hardman was voicing a ton in the first game

Re: Days Gone Dev Reportedly Hit with Layoffs, Loses 30% of Staff

zhoont

@PloverNutter it was either Days Gone 2 or the live service project, and Sony supported them going towards the live service project which I assume lead to them picking that over Days Gone 2. But even if they wanted to do a different single-player offering I would have preferred that over live service

Re: Kick Back with More Mind Blowing Death Stranding 2 PS5 Gameplay

zhoont

I was skipping through the showcase trying to dodge any in-game footage and I accidentally hit a frame from one of the gameplay sections and I was really surprised at what looked like a bunch of sparklers? Not sure how to describe it but I don't know what was going on, and I love the teases.

Showcase question: Woodkid used his final thought to thank Hideo for putting music first in the CPU priority in the game when music usually gets last (as he put it). What does that mean? He seemed very excited and thankful but I don't know the implications.

Re: Oblivion Remastered Runs Worse the Longer You Play on PS5

zhoont

Classic Bethesda game problem. It was particularly bad in Fallout New Vegas (creation engine) because as I understand it the game loads areas and never truly clears them once you leave until you restart the game. So in OBLIVION I think it's the same- as you play one session the more places and people & things getting loaded into your game the more it bloats and tanks the frame rate, crashes your game. I think it was called cell purging or something.

Re: PS5 Fans Furious As Microsoft Ships DOOM: The Dark Ages with Just 85MB on the Disc

zhoont

@ThatOtherNewGuy you're condoning review bombing a game because of its physical media release- something which would hurt the devs and studio capriciously for something out of the control of almost every person their that poured their life into this product, and you would damage that because "muh disc" . If I need a hug, you need a splash of water in the face to wake you up from that ridiculous call to action

Re: State of Play Presents Borderlands 4 Deep Dive on PS5 Pro

zhoont

@Shokwave2 dawg once the 1,000,000 DLCs come out I will have moved on to GTA6 and Battlefield 6 and all the other unplanned games that will capture my attention. My interests in this game extend to what I can experience in it between its release and the release of Ghost of Yotei

Re: State of Play Presents Borderlands 4 Deep Dive on PS5 Pro

zhoont

I enjoyed 1 2 & 3, but that looked mid af. If there's really only 4 characters to choose from and no returning character who can get a mech, that's a huge loss. The chick with the mech from B3 is really fun to pilot. Hopefully 4 is actually planning on being more grounded story-wise. But essentially all the movement additions were the big focus here, but they're just bringing it up to the same movement mechanics that Titanfall 2 & Doom 2016 had. Double jump, Dodge, slide, hover. I need more. I bet they did pull the release date forward because of GTA6...

Re: Days Gone PS5 Is a 'Really Good Piece of Work', Say Tech Experts

zhoont

This will probably irk some people, but the age of the remaster was foretold long ago- and I'm revelling in it! I have had so much fun with Oblivion, Fallout 4, RE4, Last of Us Pts 1+2, and many other games getting PS5 re-releases or welcome performance patches. I loved Days Gone, but it's been more than 5 years since I've played it so I'd like to see how it stands up against all the other amazing games I've had the privilege of experiencing since then.

Re: Ghost of Yotei's PS5 Price Provokes Fresh Switch 2 Fury

zhoont

Ghost should be charging $90 and GTA6 could charge over $100 and I wouldn't be against it. I will pay for the best pieces of art in the history of humanity without whining like a little loser. These twitter posters trying to dunk on Mario Kart and rolling their eyes saying it should be in line with ghost at $70, when in reality ghost could justify leap-frogging switch 2 games to $90+
