Re: PS5 Fans Furious As Microsoft Ships DOOM: The Dark Ages with Just 85MB on the Disc

zhoont

@ThatOtherNewGuy you're condoning review bombing a game because of its physical media release- something which would hurt the devs and studio capriciously for something out of the control of almost every person their that poured their life into this product, and you would damage that because "muh disc" . If I need a hug, you need a splash of water in the face to wake you up from that ridiculous call to action

Re: State of Play Presents Borderlands 4 Deep Dive on PS5 Pro

zhoont

@Shokwave2 dawg once the 1,000,000 DLCs come out I will have moved on to GTA6 and Battlefield 6 and all the other unplanned games that will capture my attention. My interests in this game extend to what I can experience in it between its release and the release of Ghost of Yotei

Re: State of Play Presents Borderlands 4 Deep Dive on PS5 Pro

I enjoyed 1 2 & 3, but that looked mid af. If there's really only 4 characters to choose from and no returning character who can get a mech, that's a huge loss. The chick with the mech from B3 is really fun to pilot. Hopefully 4 is actually planning on being more grounded story-wise. But essentially all the movement additions were the big focus here, but they're just bringing it up to the same movement mechanics that Titanfall 2 & Doom 2016 had. Double jump, Dodge, slide, hover. I need more. I bet they did pull the release date forward because of GTA6...

Re: Days Gone PS5 Is a 'Really Good Piece of Work', Say Tech Experts

zhoont

This will probably irk some people, but the age of the remaster was foretold long ago- and I'm revelling in it! I have had so much fun with Oblivion, Fallout 4, RE4, Last of Us Pts 1+2, and many other games getting PS5 re-releases or welcome performance patches. I loved Days Gone, but it's been more than 5 years since I've played it so I'd like to see how it stands up against all the other amazing games I've had the privilege of experiencing since then.

Re: Ghost of Yotei's PS5 Price Provokes Fresh Switch 2 Fury

zhoont

Ghost should be charging $90 and GTA6 could charge over $100 and I wouldn't be against it. I will pay for the best pieces of art in the history of humanity without whining like a little loser. These twitter posters trying to dunk on Mario Kart and rolling their eyes saying it should be in line with ghost at $70, when in reality ghost could justify leap-frogging switch 2 games to $90+

Re: Site News: Where's Our Days Gone Remastered PS5 Review?

zhoont

This is going to be a really important time for the history of this game, because not it gets a proper review period not plagued by bugs . The first game's review copy was given out too early and it hurt the game because the day-one patch fixed a ton of issues reviewers had

Re: PS5's Worst Kept Secret Could Now Be Days Away

zhoont

I want the game, but man this is a bad time for it. And if it's really releasing the last week of April, it MUST be revealed this week. I cannot imagine them not giving it at least a week to build up hype (unless they know it's a bad product).

Re: The Last of Us 2 PS5 Patch Released to Promptly Fix Big Problems

zhoont

I actually lost a couple No Return unlockable skins I had to pay for again, thankfully only like 50 points of skins- could've been many hundreds. I also lost all the upgrades I'd gotten after returning to a suspended No Returns run. Not a big deal since it affected just the one rogue like run. I'd hate to lose upgrades in a grounded campaign save like many did.

Re: New The Last of Us 2 PS5 Patch 2.0 Is Breaking Ellie, Abby Upgrades

zhoont

I would be angry if this happened to me mid-playthrough. And it might make the platinum go from 2-4 playthroughs depending on where someone is in the process. I'm not sure if I wanna risk launching the game right now to play the new No Return content if doing so could mess up my saves... Or maybe my saves would only get messed up if I play campaign? And is this happening to 100% of players or just a minority?

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Thoughts on Potential $80 PS5 Games?

zhoont

It's time to pick a lane. Either video games *are" the most amazing art and entertainment medium that exists, and they're completely fantastic and worth paying for, or they're not. Put your money where your mouth is. Games are cheaper than they've ever been relative to quality and including how they go on sale over time, and for a few dollars more Ghost, GTA, DS2, etc. are all gonna be totally worth the money. There's no goddamn way you people are this frugal in all aspects of your life...

Re: The Oblivion Remake Will Release This Week, Says Bold New Rumour

zhoont

"There have been no behind-the-scenes leaks beyond somewhat vague job listings"
Wrong, Rob!
It was part of the NVIDIA leak, I think.
But I know it was in the court documents later on from the Activision acquisition scrutiny. It was planned for 2022 in that document I believe, but then COVID happened. Still, 2025 doesn't sound wrong to me. But bottom line, we know the project existed before- does it exist still? Good question

Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on Bloodborne, 10 Years Later?

zhoont

My thoughts? It's in my top 10 forever. Got me into Dark Souls 2, then 3, then Nioh, then Mortal Shell, Demon's Souls remake, Sekiro, Elden Ring, etc. etc. I've platinumed all the from soft soulslikes except Dark Souls 1 and they're all great, but Bloodborne is peak- the setting, the gameplay, the sound and music all excellent. I'm happy with a remaster

Re: Rumour: Oblivion PS5 Remake Is Out Soon, Possibly Even Next Month

zhoont

I am getting very physically excited by the prospect of this. I grew up on Oblivion, and it is supremely special to me. Some of my most earnest memories are different times and places I played Oblivion. It was absolutely mind-blowing in 2006. This was the first time I had played a game and realized video games could take you to a different world, could be made on a whole different level than sports games like SSX or little pocket Gameboy Pokemon. Oblivion is a true outstanding achievement and mark in the sand for what video games could be. After Oblivion a game like Cyberpunk 2077 was something I began to daydream about, and before it I didn't see a path to great games. It took almost a decade before I played another game that had the same perspective shifting power, opening up of my horizons. Those games were the Last of Us PS4 and Bloodborne. I would die happy with just a 4k re-release with trophy support- anything more than that, if handled well, is a dream! I just tend to agree with Todd Howard that this game captures a time & place, and doesn't need an overhaul.

Re: Kojima Cameo Mission Coming to Control Ultimate Edition on PS5

zhoont

Control is very interesting visually and has good ideas, but I found the gameplay pretty frustrating and shallow. The Alan Wake dlc was a tragedy to play, even though it had really intriguing new enemies the combat was just ass. I had no idea Hideo had a cameo. I guess that means our world is one of many worlds
