@SilkySmile89 there's no reason why a dev couldn't make a psvr game for the ps5 using better assets and resolution what Sony said makes no sense

@jsw-8 psvr is capable of displaying 1080p but games must run at 60fps and sometimes 120fps otherwise it would offer an uncomfortable experience and wouldn't get passed sonys certification, so something has to be sacrificed so resolution takes a hit as well as reduced textures etc,this was slightly improved with the ps4 pro and should be even more improved with the ps5.

@nessisonett I suspect the majority didn't even know it existed anyway or why they would want to in the first place

@Cybrshrk true we will see ,also microsofts quick resume won't work with those 3rd party games you listed its just 1st party games ,whether they will implement it remains to be seen,I don't see how you can fail to be impressed with spidermans 2 second loading and demons souls less than a second.

@SaltlakeCity no its a fact, the xbox series x ssd is 2.4gb per second and the ps5 is 5.5gb per second, as an xbox fan i understand how you'd have a problem with simple maths but trust me thats over twice as fast.

@RainbowGazelle I can understand the disabled slot if they didn't youd get all sorts of idiots slotting in incompatible ssds theyve bought from asda potentially damaging the machine ,games get delayed,features get delayed all the time as a gamer you should be use to this its not a new thing and according to digital foundry backward compatibility is superb and should be applauded.

@God_of_Nowt communication has always been a problem with Sony or maybe concise information should I say ,it was clearly removed for a reason maybe they found issues with it during testing and didn't want thousands of complaints , I just hope they've learned their lesson from the extortionate vita memory card pricing and there expandable storage is at least reasonable,im waiting on the dual sense breaking videos next 🙄

@Cybrshrk what damage control i was stating facts ,whiny little bitches is factual, microsoft have done what they always do rehashed the xbox and just made it more powerful and then stole a few ideas from the playstation, they couldn't even be bothered with one proper next gen game, microsoft don't care about consoles they care about game pass,let's hope the 23 studios they now have can at least make one good game a year and they won't just be the usual gear,forza,halo combination and crappy game pass fodder.

@get2sammyb so does this mean there will be no improvements for vr on the ps5 ie better fidelity and are they saying that there will be no new games on ps5 designed specifically for vr and if a dev wants to make a new vr game it will basically be a ps4 game ported to a ps5??????????

@NathanUC im presuming they will make an update to allow support for the new camera at some point,but if you've got a psvr and wanted to use it on ps5 maybe they didn't want to alienate them by forcing them to shell out 60 quid for a new camera when a free adapter is the cheaper option for the consumer,imagine the bad press, "psvr useless on ps5 without new 60 pound camera"

So they will continue to make games on hardware that was trounced by there closest rival while offering nothing more than 60fps on there new 500 quid machine, nice one Phil ha ha ha ha

The xbox one x version looks absolutely terrible I stated it in a previous mafia related article , it looks like a ps3 game.

Anyone else got mafia 3 and played after it got patched to the definitive edition, they've ***** that up as well, I have it on the xbox one x and good grief it's a mess this patch has suddenly introduced blurry textures,slowdown,pop in and unresponsive controls, mafia 3 is one of my favourite games love the soundtrack and they've wrecked it,anyone else noticed it?

If I played this my girlfriend would be like..."you like that then yeah..****** marry her then"

So how's the vr in this any improvements

Apparently ubisoft are now aware/admitting there is an issue and are working on a patch to fix the patch that fixes the patch 😒
