Last week saw the announcement of Observer: System Redux, a next-gen remaster of Bloober Team's sci-fi horror for PlayStation 5. Now, a brand new trailer has been unveiled, revealing the first footage of what the game will look like on the upcoming hardware.
System Redux will feature all new story content and "expanded gameplay" in addition to fancy PS5 visuals. You can get a look at those in the above video, and we must say, there's some impressive stuff going on. We don't have all the exact details, but it's fair to assume the game will take advantage of all the next-gen buzzwords.
Observer hits PS5 in this enhanced form in holiday 2020, at or near the launch of the system itself. Will you be picking this game up for your brand new console? Observe good behaviour in the comments below.

What...no mention of Tempest Engine and the gift-from-the-gods-uber-fast-mind-blowing SSD this time?!
This article sounds like it should be on Pure Xbox.
NOTE: Joke
@GamingFan4Lyf Joke or not, I'm not entirely sure the snark was necessary. What is it that's riling you about our coverage?
On topic: I think this looks pretty nice.
Next-gen hasn't even started, and we're already getting a remaster.
It's a shame all the interest seems to be about graphics. There's much more which need to move forward. Besides which, this didn't look particularly impressive anyway.
I enjoyed Observer but to be honest it only had PS3 and a bit graphics so I'm surprised it's being ported to PS5
I think it looks great. Definitely an upgrade over the 2017 PS4 trailer I just watched as well.
Nope, I've already got it. Unless there is a significant discount for people that already bought it, I'm not interested in remasters, especially now that backwards compatibility with PS4 is supposed to be a thing.
Not a true next gen game,.. It need to be build up from the ground with the SSD in mind and Ray Tracy..!
Ooh, I didn't realise this game was cyberpunk horror. This does seem rather interesting.
@get2sammyb Only that I am surprised there is an article about PS5 that doesn't mention it - despite the fact this game would probably benefit from Sony's new 3D audio capabilities and that the system could probably load almost the entire game into memory before you even press "New Game"
I'll be getting it. Was interested in the original, only coming across it recently, so I'll wait for this version.
Looking good.word β up son
Rutger Hauer is literally the perfect person to put in anything cyberpunk related. Itβs like having royalty there given his back catalogue.
@nessisonett he is missed. In the mood to see Blade Runner now.
It's a really good game. The weakest part being Rutger's lackluster performance.
This version looks like it will achieve the PC version level of graphics.
Not excited for this at all.
Have to say that trailer made me want to learn more about the game and see some game play. Nothing is wrong with remasters every game purchase is optional. MediEvil and Ratchet and Clank were well worth the asking lower price.
Another game I started but didn't finish.
Looks good, but not a bit next-gen. Am I expecting too much?
Looks good, might pick this up at some point. Haven't heard of this b4 but looks interesting
@MsJubilee
Im thinking it is the developer/publishers own idea to give this game and their brand more exposure since this game went under the radar despite its good reviews.
The Epic store gave this away for free on PC a few weeks ago. I didn't even give it a second glance and never downloaded it, but that trailer makes it look pretty good. I will have to check it out.
These "next gen graphics" almost look as good as the RE engine on current gen.
I have Observer, and it was kinda slow IMO.
And last thought... PS5 games will be remastering of PS4 games, and PS4 games have been remastering of older games.
Like war.... Gaming. Gaming never changes.
To be honest, we will see a lot of these early remasters. The reason being is that there is always a content drought and people who early adopt are desperate for any game that takes advantage of the new console. If you can get any game out there early, you'll sell more.
Remember how many units some of those early Switch ports shifted?
@Ridwaano I have to agree. We need to get the legendary developer, Mr. Ray Tracy, involved!
@NeoTokyo404 π you get it!
@Paranoimia. graphics is the most noticeable change people can see without having hands on the new systems. I don't expect honest reviews of most of rest before holiday season or closer to it. When people have a better chance to have hands on time with atleast a demo on one somewhere
