How much better do we need video game graphics to look that itās worth hundreds of dollars?
Iām not saying things need to stand still, we got a Switch 2 b/c the Switch graphics were really falling behind on my 4k tv, especially compared to all of the PS5 games I was playing. But Switch 2 is basically fine for me, I donāt need a Switch 3 either.
If you need PS6 graphics that bad to enjoy video games you should perhaps watch a movie instead. I think theyāve reached photorealistic enough for me. Clair Obscur was all I need, and that was a smaller indie team. Though to be fair I prefer color like Astrobot, Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest over the dull brown of most photorealistic games.
Not saying they shouldnāt make a new console, itās their business, but no rush until we et 8k TVs as a standard. If e ever do. Maybe Sony should just focus on making cheaper PS5 Slim instead so more people can buy the games they make. Like how Japan got a cheaper PS5.

Nikki had a similar big 2.0 last year followed by 2.1 which was all about raising a behemoth which looked great in the trailer but itās just awful monotonous bust work Iām struggling to get through. But 2.2 this week has fireworks and mahjong, so hopefully an improvement.
But if the Niki update is lame again I might try out Where Winds Meet as its new, 3.0 seems a little late.
I donāt see how or why Microsoft makes another next gen home console. If they want to make a handheld w/ tv out, preferably wireless like airplay, thatās fine, I donāt think the market has settled on a handheld winner yet, itās still a developing market segment, but no new big $500 box, itās over.
For 2 reasons. Squenix likes overly long stupid names, see Kingdom Hearts Chapter 2.8 Prologue or whatever itās called. And they need to reconcile the original with the remake as so far theyāve just been moving them further and further apart.
Bonus reason, I hate it, so seems like something Squenix would do.
It was great in rebirth, including its storyline, which probably could have stood as an indie game all by itself, but I would prefer in part 3 if they just kept it as a card game without all of the lore and focused on the lore of the main storyline instead. Theyāre really going to have their hands full trying to tie this all up.
So have an optional tournament in each town, maybe even a global one, but no important story beats, just treat it like triple triad in FF8.
If we were told this was a ālife simā set in the world of the Witcher and made by CDPR would we have any reason not to believe it? š¤·š»āāļø

I donāt follow any of the online multiplayer games all that much. Is there any chance this game can take off on PC but fail on PS5? I feel like these games are made for PC where you donāt have to pay extra to play online. And Sony doesnāt kill the game in 2 weeks after release.
Having Bungie attached to it should help on PC, maybe evenXbox, I just feel like the PS5 gaming community is so anti-online right now.

Hopefully Monolithsoft never goes that route. I donāt mind gatcha games but there arenāt as many JRPG games I like as much as theirs. I hope their next game is Xeno related, but not Blade, 4 games is enough for a trilogy. Iāll make time for their next game, whatever it is.

I played 13 when it came out. Never fnsihed it bc the final boss battle was too difficult for me. And I didnāt really enjoy it all that much. hope is the wort video game chracter ever voiced, the defiition of whiny white boy priviledge. I played the demo for pt 2 but it was just more of the sa,e so skipped the game. PT 3 was never even on my radar after that.
Not sure how i feel about a triligoy remaster. likely wouldnāt play it but enough people might, after 7 part 3, that it might be worth it.

Wow there's A LOT going on in that trailer. At first it just looked like some made in Dreams nonsense, not a big fan of the drinking mini games, but then it turned into so much more. Wouldn't even guess it's free to start, looks like a full blow JRPG adventure, but I guess since Genshin Impact anything is possible.

Might be one of those things to play to compare Switch 2 to PS5. I don't expect parity, just play ability on Switch 2. Sometimes it's close enough, sometimes it's night and day. Might be worth playing twice jyst to mess with it before getting the game.
PS5 is 4 or 5 years old, maybe it could get a separate list from PS4? I know it's probably the same but w/ the install base of each I'd like to see 2 separate lists just in case.

Am planning on playing this once they figure out the packaging. Having a base game, a base game and 2 or 3 dlc, then a separate additional cost dlc, and the base game w/o the 2 or 3 old dlc but w/ the new paid dlc is too much for me to bother with. I'm taking my 1 plat in Jak & Daxter to my grave. Usually I max out at around 50% anyway, 60% - maybe 80% if I'm really enjoying a game, but I doubt I'll get anywhere near a plat ever again.
Dlc for an 11yo game seems kinda stupid but watching Nintendo pump out $20 upgrade paths for so many Switch games on the Switch 2 makes me think it's possible. Not a fan. Though if they wanted to turn 5 seasons of the show into a game when it's finally done airing, fine, but that seems better suited to a new spinoff game than dlc. But whatever.

I bought this over the summer for my kids to play, my wife and I still have yet to play it. Too much NFL football. Probably after the Superbowl. Looking forward to it.

I do wish the Inifnity Niki people could figute it out, that game goes down fairly regularly for me, sometimes every 5 minutes or so. After the 3rd time I usually stop playing. DisneySpeedstorm ran just fine this morning but I dontā think too many people are playing that money pit game.

They likely would have added years to the dev cycle if they had switched engines for part 3 so thank goodness they didnāt.

Can someone translate "Xbox Developer Direct" for me? I understand the Xbox and Direct parts but does "developer" roughly translate to "first party" or "all parties" or "Independent" or something? I guess really my main concern is if this is going to be a game focused show for gamers or a techno babble show for other devs? You know, like 1 of those ASMR vids Cerny does that always puts me to sleep.š“

Might be one of those things to play to compare Switch 2 to PS5. I don't expect parity, just play ability on Switch 2. Sometimes it's close enough, sometimes it's night and day. Might be worth playing twice jyst to mess with it before getting the game.

PS5 is 4 or 5 years old, maybe it could get a separate list from PS4? I know it's probably the same but w/ the install base of each I'd like to see 2 separate lists just in case.

Am planning on playing this once they figure out the packaging. Having a base game, a base game and 2 or 3 dlc, then a separate additional cost dlc, and the base game w/o the 2 or 3 old dlc but w/ the new paid dlc is too much for me to bother with. Iām assuming at some point it will be 1 edition 1 price like Witcher 3.

glad for the update. Sony now owning SP, Insomniac and ND makes me happy b/c theyāre the reason Iām a Sony guy, for their big 3 games on PS2, R&C, J&D and SC. Tak was also good bu tI forget who made those.š¤·š»āāļø
Looking forward to Wolverine, Spiderman 3 and Hoziron 3, but thtās about it, But thatās enough. Nearly time to retire from gaming for me. Iād play a Greek GoW but only if itās first confirmed to be a stand alone game and not just the first hlaf of an overarching story like GoW & Ragnarok. I still havenāt played Astrobot which we just got for Christmas so no rush for a sequel for me.š
Iād be fine if FF7 Pt 3 was the last game I evr played. FF7 was the 2nd game I played in this modern era of gaming after Parasite Eve, (Iowned Pong, Atari and the like before taking about a 10 yr break before PS1) so FF7 can end it. Glad they said itās onyx 1 ore game, donāt think Icould hold out long enough for a 4th part.š

I'm taking my 1 plat in Jak & Daxter to my grave. Usually I max out at around 50% anyway, 60% - maybe 80% if I'm really enjoying a game, but I doubt I'll get anywhere near a plat ever again.

Dlc for an 11yo game seems kinda stupid but watching Nintendo pump out $20 upgrade paths for so many Switch games on the Switch 2 makes me think it's possible. Not a fan. Though if they wanted to turn 5 seasons of the show into a game when it's finally done airing, fine, but that seems better suited to a new spinoff game than dlc. But whatever.

Judging by the number of comments on this article, currently 1, and the number of comments on the latest Genshin Impact article, also 1, perhaps it would make more sense if Genshin Imact released on Switch 2 than if Story of Seasons released on PS5?

i got on Fortnte to get my gift today, didnt feel like playing.
I do wish the Inifnity Niki people could figute it out, that game goes down fairly regularly for me, sometimes every 5 minutes or so. After the 3rd time I usually stop playing. DisneySpeedstorm ran just fine this morning but I dontā think too many people are playing that money pit game.
