I think I'd be down for this, just enough there to hit up for 20 minutes a day like I was doing w/ AC and Hello Kitty. Only on PS5 though. I've tried and I just can't play games on mobile screens. Though PS5 controller support and Apple Air to my TV does help if that's available.
If Wolverine does actually release in Fall 2026, I mean it could happen, won't matter if GTA 6 gets delayed until Spring 2027, which could also happen.
One thing I feel like can't happen, both of these games releasing in Fall 2026. I'm mean sure they could, 9/9/26 looks like a nice date for Wolverine, it's the same in every country so no one gets confused, but I certainly wouldn't bet on any big AAA video fame making a release date a year out. Or even 6 months out.
Maybe if they both haves dates at next year's Not E3 w/ GK. Maybe.

Do you know that dlc stands for 'down load content"? Any extra content whether for free, micro transactions, or a season pass is going to be dlc b/c it wasn't in there when the game was released. Patches that fuc stuff don't count b/c thry are just fixing whatever is in the game, but all of the challenges and extra characters that weren't in there at all originally are dlc. I mean you say it yourself, "bonus CONTENT". How can it be both a bonus but not dlc?ðĪ·ââïļ
@carlos82 We went to Islands if Adventures 1 year in January b/c we were downn there for a wedding. Despite it being Florida it does still get cold in January. My wife bought gloves at the gift shop, we were I'll prepared for 40' F. But we did gave the park basically to ourselves, several rides on the Hulk Coaster, 3D Spiderman ride and the fueling dragons. The new place thry just opened up looks 5, 5 Worlds of Imagination or whatever. Also on the list, but Nintendo 1st. I should really start planning all these trips.ðą

I'm 0-10. I've never gone that long w/o winning a match before, even early on I was winning 1 out iof every 6 or 7. So while I like the setting and the look it's a little more like Reload now, or OG, I forget which is which. Itf it's like this next season I may be done. I'll keep going this season, what's 3 more weeks, and I already spent my V-bux. Who knows, maybe I'll win a few next week. I'm going to go play the Nikoderiko demo now for a nice change of pace. I mean, I know you aren't, but that's how it reads. I can say I sold 161 million RJEJR gaming systems, and you'll just have to take my word for it b/c I don't keep track of my sales, that's just how many I "produced" wink wink.
Assigning serial numbers means absolutely nothing to me. Maybe they skipped some. Maybe they assigned 158 million and he's just rounding up? Maybe a whole batch of 150 of them had to trashed b/c the machine was cutting a big gash in the side. Maybe a container fell off a ship w/ 5,000 in it. Maybe a lorry got stolen w/ 250 and they were given away, not sold. Maybe Toys R Us had a pallet they threw out when they went bankrupt.
Sony must have a sales record somewhere of the number sold. How else do they do book keeping. And I bet they haven't "sold" 160m. Well maybe Sony sold the to distributors, who had to eat the cost of any lost or damaged merchandise, but surely Sony would have that shipped number written down somewhere. We wouldn't have had the number jump from 155 to 160 if they had.
Produced? Maybe produced. Has any manufacturing plant ever produced 160,000,000 of anything w/o some of them having to be trashed b/c of either cosmetic imperfections or malfunction? Even if the failure rate was only 1%, just one percent, that would still be 1.6mil they couldn't sell. So only 158.4m that they potentially could. Potentially. ðĪ·ââïļ

@Fluberuper Last season, and for a few before that, I was winning 33% of my matches, usually top 10 w/ the occasional 99th b/c the game is fun like that.ð But this season it's been 15, 25, 17 etc. I think I came in 2nd twice. But they also feel fast. I haven't checked the times but my matches are always 22-24 minutes, these have felt short and b/c of the losing I haven't checked.ðĐ I've tried playing Reload or whatever it's called a few times, always felt they were trash. This isn't that bad, but I can't get into my usual game flow rhythm. Congrats on doing better ð
@get2sammyb Since the article reads like you've played it, does this season seem "off" to you? I know my placings have dropped precipitously from top 3 to 5-15 b/c the players came back, but it feels like more than that. I don't know if it's smaller or emptier or flatter or what but it almost feels more like those Reloaded levels than the main battle Royale matches I've been playing the past few years. I have Nikoderiko on my Wishlist so it notified this morning. About half price, looks like some fun to play w/ my wife and maybe my kids xan play it together. Has easy, normal, hard and challenge mode so everyone can play. Just gonna go read some reviews first but probably in.

I've been playing Fortnite for 4 years, spent $8 in store credit I had when I began, I currently have about 50 saved sets, and 3,000 V-bux. It's crazy to me how much people spend on stuff that does nothing when $8, maybe it's $10 now, can set you up for years.
I also get the complaining, it's what people do, and those prices are crazy, and the 1 change per pet is obviously forced and stupid as we can change everything else infinitely. So don't buy them, they're worse than useless. Worse. Just burn your money, at least it will be pretty and give off heat. ðĨ
Anything electronic can be made smaller, for and at a price. I think there's some laws about that.
I don't like the look of the PS5, gate balancing it on that stupid little stand horizontally, but I don't need it to look like an Xbox or genetic PC either.

Here's my metric, that I have not measured, but it feels like it's getting worse for the constant increase in price.
PS5 is 5 years old this month. In those 5 years how many PS5 exclusives - not PS4 or PS3 games - have been on PS+ Essential vs how many PS4 exclusives - not PS3 or PS2 games - were on PS+?
I know there haven't been a ton of PS5 exclusives but how many of those have been on PS+? What % of PS4 exclusives were on PS+ by the time the PS4 was 5 years old? I just feel like PS4 was getting PS4 games, that why I subscribed, and PS5 has not been getting a lot of PS5 games, which is why I don't.
Metacritic scores are good, but not if it's for a game I've never even heard of. I'm still trying to get over "It Takes Two" winning GotY. Like, did that really happen? ðĪ·ââïļ

Not that it matters too much, but Fortnite isn't a FPS First Person Shooter it's 3rd person. If it ever goes 1st person I'll quit, been playing about 4 years. Also not really that fast paced, I'm 60 and I win 33% of my matches.

I never really appreciated the Game Profile box below here before now. You guys at PS ever think about putting it ABOVE the comments so people might read it before commenting? It has a lot of useful information people might ask about, like the price and where else it can be played.
One other bit of info a game like this can use - do I need to pay for PS+ to play it? Probably yes, but some online games don't.
Players: 1 makes it look like you can play it solo offline w/ NPCs but I'm guessing that's not the case.
Maybe I'll just keep playing Wii games on my Wii U. Simpler times.ð
They just had some K-Pop Demon Hunters mode - 3 people building houses and doing not much else - that let you have cute little flying sidekicks buzzing about your head. Only 1 at a time but they had a couple of dozen to choose from.

I'm pretty sure that is actually how the human brain works. And if you don't think it does then we can all be raised by wolves and then create great things. There's a reason people go to school, or get home schooled. To teach them how to do things.
The fact that some people are more creative than AI is less a jab at AI than it is at humans. Sure, everything AI makes now sucks, but that's b/c the things we like are made by smart well trained humans. If you just let any human make a game, maybe half of the population, or 10%, choose your own %, then the AI may be better.
Who knows, maybe Concorde would have been better if Sony let AI make it?ð
Anyway, it's not that AI sucks more than humans, it's that AI sucks more than the humans we pay to do particular jobs. The jobs the humans learned to do. Just like AI has to learn. It's just not very smart right now. Probably b/c it's learning from all humans. Most of which are stupid. ðĐ

The only people who know if it was really a success or not are Sony, b/c the only success that really matters was meeting their expectations. And who knows, maybe Sony thinks 5% of the PS5 install base for a $199 one trick pony is "enormous". But if that's the case I'd really like to see what their hyperlatives would have been if it were 10%, 15%, 20% well you get the idea. Stupendous. Humungous. What else is bigger than enormous?
For comparison the $250 Wii sold 150mil and the $100 1 trick pony Wii Balance Board sold 32mil. That's 20% of the install base. For a plastic board that was 40% of the consoles price. Similar to PS5 and Portal pricing.
I think Portal is a success for what you got at the price. But enormous? When's the last time anyone ever said 5% of anything was enormous?ðĪ·ââïļ

@Shepherd_Tallon Thanks for that real world stuff. As someone who talks to Alexa every day to ask the weather, sports score, set a timer, etc, I have no interest in anything calling itself AI, and I'm certainly not paying for it.
Though I suppose it's good people do, should help make it better in the future. Kind of like how No Man's Sky was a bit if a bust or letdown at launch but after multiple years of updates people seem to like it more now. AI is alpha stage NMS, beta testers beware.

I do appreciate that those same PS writers have talked about the PS5 power consumption. I try to always turn it off rather than put it in rest mode now, and I never use it for streaming or DVDs, though I will throw in the occasional Blu-ray, don't think I've ever held a 4k disc in my hands, so I know the PS5 is a power hog, and I try to mitigate my energy usage, but I never saw this energy saving mode as handheld related. ðĪ·ââïļ
When people lament about lack of new PS5 games 5 years after launch I think we should hold up PS+ as a measuring stick of that. Compare PS+ on PS3, PS4 and PS5 and after 5 years on the market how many PS+ games on PS3 were PS3 exclusives, then exclusives on PS4, then exclusives on PS5?
I don't have the numbers in front of me but my faulty recall has me believing we got a lot of PS3 games on PS3 and PS4 games on PS4 but also PS4 games on PS5 b/c as people like to lament, there are no new games on PS5.
Now, I know there are new games on PS5, I've played them, but I bet not as many on PS+. Which was maybe fine in years 1, 2 and 3 but at this point I'm pretty sure PS+ was getting some PS4 games on PS4.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I certainly don't miss subscribing to PS+ since I've owned a PS5.

Subscription services are fine for little indie games on Netflix and Apple Arcade, or years old games. I agree w/ Sony on most of that. But now that Gamepass has 3 tiers, similar to PS+, and new games are only available on the highest paid tier, I think things are more even than not, and journalism should acknowledge that, not just promote console wars amongst the fans. ðĪ·ââïļ
@DreadfulDragon I liked DQ11, a lot, very bright and colorful. Don't recall it being dark or mature but I haven't played it since the 1st time it released. And I'm pretty jaded so it would probably take a lot for me to think of a video game as dark and mature. I played FF7 in 1998 and half the story is based around the murder of a sweet and innocent main character and the good guys basically lose in the end. And they're terrorists to begin with. Can't get much more dark and mature than FF7. Glad the remake trilogy doesn't look like this. Can you imagine the response?ðĪĢ

I think I've played all of the Katamari games, and "Wonderful End of the World" on PC which I liked better, but pretty sure I've never spent more than $10 on any of them b/c that's all they are to me, little fun indie games. I'd probably pay $20 these days b/c inflation but that's about it. So whenever it gets there. Or maybe just a rental, really no reason to own this.

Isn't Toriyama mostly famous for 2D animation, stuff like the old DQ, DragonBall and Sand Land, not this 3D computer graphics Pixar looking stuff? This is so far removed from what I'm guessing most people think of with him they probably could have gone a little further darker, like the newer FF games, also from Squenix, if they really wanted dark and mature. If they really wanted Toriyama they could have stuck w/ more of a Sand Land look, still 3D, but kind of cell shared looking. ðĪ·ââïļ
After 4 of 5 years on the market you'd think Sony could bundle something a little more Sony with the PS5 like the Spiderman trilogy. For the price of the console they should be able to include those 2 1/2 old games.

Assigning serial numbers means absolutely nothing to me. Maybe they skipped some. Maybe they assigned 158 million and he's just rounding up? Maybe a whole batch of 150 of them had to trashed b/c the machine was cutting a big gash in the side. Maybe a container fell off a ship w/ 5,000 in it. Maybe a lorry got stolen w/ 250 and they were given away, not sold. Maybe Toys R Us had a pallet they threw out when they went bankrupt.
Sony must have a sales record somewhere of the number sold. How else do they do book keeping. And I bet they haven't "sold" 160m. Well maybe Sony sold the to distributors, who had to eat the cost of any lost or damaged merchandise, but surely Sony would have that shipped number written down somewhere. We wouldn't have had the number jump from 155 to 160 if they had.
Produced? Maybe produced. Has any manufacturing plant ever produced 160,000,000 of anything w/o some of them having to be trashed b/c of either cosmetic imperfections or malfunction? Even if the failure rate was only 1%, just one percent, that would still be 1.6mil they couldn't sell. So only 158.4m that they potentially could. Potentially. ðĪ·ââïļ

@Fluberuper Last season, and for a few before that, I was winning 33% of my matches, usually top 10 w/ the occasional 99th b/c the game is fun like that.ð But this season it's been 15, 25, 17 etc. I think I came in 2nd twice. But they also feel fast. I haven't checked the times but my matches are always 22-24 minutes, these have felt short and b/c of the losing I haven't checked.ðĐ I've tried playing Reload or whatever it's called a few times, always felt they were trash. This isn't that bad, but I can't get into my usual game flow rhythm. Congrats on doing better ð

I've been playing Fortnite for 4 years, spent $8 in store credit I had when I began, I currently have about 50 saved sets, and 3,000 V-bux. It's crazy to me how much people spend on stuff that does nothing when $8, maybe it's $10 now, can set you up for years.
I also get the complaining, it's what people do, and those prices are crazy, and the 1 change per pet is obviously forced and stupid as we can change everything else infinitely. So don't buy them, they're worse than useless. Worse. Just burn your money, at least it will be pretty and give off heat. ðĨ

Here's my metric, that I have not measured, but it feels like it's getting worse for the constant increase in price.
PS5 is 5 years old this month. In those 5 years how many PS5 exclusives - not PS4 or PS3 games - have been on PS+ Essential vs how many PS4 exclusives - not PS3 or PS2 games - were on PS+?
I know there haven't been a ton of PS5 exclusives but how many of those have been on PS+? What % of PS4 exclusives were on PS+ by the time the PS4 was 5 years old? I just feel like PS4 was getting PS4 games, that why I subscribed, and PS5 has not been getting a lot of PS5 games, which is why I don't.
Metacritic scores are good, but not if it's for a game I've never even heard of. I'm still trying to get over "It Takes Two" winning GotY. Like, did that really happen? ðĪ·ââïļ

I never really appreciated the Game Profile box below here before now. You guys at PS ever think about putting it ABOVE the comments so people might read it before commenting? It has a lot of useful information people might ask about, like the price and where else it can be played.
One other bit of info a game like this can use - do I need to pay for PS+ to play it? Probably yes, but some online games don't.
Players: 1 makes it look like you can play it solo offline w/ NPCs but I'm guessing that's not the case.
Maybe I'll just keep playing Wii games on my Wii U. Simpler times.ð

I'm pretty sure that is actually how the human brain works. And if you don't think it does then we can all be raised by wolves and then create great things. There's a reason people go to school, or get home schooled. To teach them how to do things.
The fact that some people are more creative than AI is less a jab at AI than it is at humans. Sure, everything AI makes now sucks, but that's b/c the things we like are made by smart well trained humans. If you just let any human make a game, maybe half of the population, or 10%, choose your own %, then the AI may be better.
Who knows, maybe Concorde would have been better if Sony let AI make it?ð
Anyway, it's not that AI sucks more than humans, it's that AI sucks more than the humans we pay to do particular jobs. The jobs the humans learned to do. Just like AI has to learn. It's just not very smart right now. Probably b/c it's learning from all humans. Most of which are stupid. ðĐ

The only people who know if it was really a success or not are Sony, b/c the only success that really matters was meeting their expectations. And who knows, maybe Sony thinks 5% of the PS5 install base for a $199 one trick pony is "enormous". But if that's the case I'd really like to see what their hyperlatives would have been if it were 10%, 15%, 20% well you get the idea. Stupendous. Humungous. What else is bigger than enormous?
For comparison the $250 Wii sold 150mil and the $100 1 trick pony Wii Balance Board sold 32mil. That's 20% of the install base. For a plastic board that was 40% of the consoles price. Similar to PS5 and Portal pricing.

@Shepherd_Tallon Thanks for that real world stuff. As someone who talks to Alexa every day to ask the weather, sports score, set a timer, etc, I have no interest in anything calling itself AI, and I'm certainly not paying for it.
Though I suppose it's good people do, should help make it better in the future. Kind of like how No Man's Sky was a bit if a bust or letdown at launch but after multiple years of updates people seem to like it more now. AI is alpha stage NMS, beta testers beware.

I do appreciate that those same PS writers have talked about the PS5 power consumption. I try to always turn it off rather than put it in rest mode now, and I never use it for streaming or DVDs, though I will throw in the occasional Blu-ray, don't think I've ever held a 4k disc in my hands, so I know the PS5 is a power hog, and I try to mitigate my energy usage, but I never saw this energy saving mode as handheld related. ðĪ·ââïļ

When people lament about lack of new PS5 games 5 years after launch I think we should hold up PS+ as a measuring stick of that. Compare PS+ on PS3, PS4 and PS5 and after 5 years on the market how many PS+ games on PS3 were PS3 exclusives, then exclusives on PS4, then exclusives on PS5?
I don't have the numbers in front of me but my faulty recall has me believing we got a lot of PS3 games on PS3 and PS4 games on PS4 but also PS4 games on PS5 b/c as people like to lament, there are no new games on PS5.
Now, I know there are new games on PS5, I've played them, but I bet not as many on PS+. Which was maybe fine in years 1, 2 and 3 but at this point I'm pretty sure PS+ was getting some PS4 games on PS4.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I certainly don't miss subscribing to PS+ since I've owned a PS5.
Edit: Oh, in case anyone is wondering why the off topic rant, Stray is a PS4 game, next month is a 5 full years since PS5 launched, November 2020. That's how PS+ is celebrating the 5 year anniversary of PS5 launching, w/ PS4 game Stray.

Phones were supposed to be the death of consoles pre-Switch and PS4, Napster or the death of music sales (I'm old), but nobody told Taylor Swift, digital was the death of albums, again no one told TS, free-to-play should be the death of $70-to-start but people keep playing CoD and FIFA.
Something is always killing something else. Almost everything has both its good and bad side. Except Ouya that was all bad.ðĪ I'd just prefer a little fairness and balance, not, if we do it it's great but if the other side does the same thing it sucks. ð
Subscription services are fine for little indie games on Netflix and Apple Arcade, or years old games. I agree w/ Sony on most of that. But now that Gamepass has 3 tiers, similar to PS+, and new games are only available on the highest paid tier, I think things are more even than not, and journalism should acknowledge that, not just promote console wars amongst the fans. ðĪ·ââïļ

@DreadfulDragon I liked DQ11, a lot, very bright and colorful. Don't recall it being dark or mature but I haven't played it since the 1st time it released. And I'm pretty jaded so it would probably take a lot for me to think of a video game as dark and mature. I played FF7 in 1998 and half the story is based around the murder of a sweet and innocent main character and the good guys basically lose in the end. And they're terrorists to begin with. Can't get much more dark and mature than FF7. Glad the remake trilogy doesn't look like this. Can you imagine the response?ðĪĢ

Isn't Toriyama mostly famous for 2D animation, stuff like the old DQ, DragonBall and Sand Land, not this 3D computer graphics Pixar looking stuff? This is so far removed from what I'm guessing most people think of with him they probably could have gone a little further darker, like the newer FF games, also from Squenix, if they really wanted dark and mature. If they really wanted Toriyama they could have stuck w/ more of a Sand Land look, still 3D, but kind of cell shared looking. ðĪ·ââïļ
