As someone who has been buying Wolverine comic books since Hulk 181 and bought most of the X-Men and Wolverine comics through the early 90s, and has seen all the Wolverine movies more than once, there has never been that much blood anywhere in anything other than this game so to proclaim "You simply can't have Wolverine without all of that blood." is simply factually wrong. It's not just an opinion that's wrong, it's factually wrong. Wolverine has existed for 50 years, and there's never been that much blood.
I mean I don't think there even can be that much blood. I don't think the human body contains as much blood as is shown bursting out of them in that video yesterday. Yes, there should be blood, but go watch any slasher movie or shogun movie with people getting cut apart with swords, and there isn't that much blood. Maybe in Monty Python when it spews everywhere as the Black Knight is dismembered.π
Whether I turn it off or not I'll leave up to my wife who will watch me play it. Probably try it with and without to see how it goes. I actually found it more distracting that he kept being covered in blood, except his claws, then it vanished. And it kept distracting me. So it might be better without it.

Never really been a fan of racing games but I really like the name Clutch. I did play Motorstorm Apocalypse and enjoyed it, could see myself picking this up on sale if it has a fun little single player storyline.
This game should easily make it's money back if they're planning on turning it into a series. People not getting it now may buy it for $20 in 3 years ahead of a sequel. Maybe in a couple of years for $30 for the complete directors cut or whatever. It's James Bond, they can sell this game for years.

Oh and the 6 exclamation points, though they're fairly lame.
I'm curious about the Kart racing. The driving controls in this game are the absolute worst. Just hold R2 and attempt to steer. I don't understand how it feels that and to drive, so I never do. π

@get2sammyb I bought a lot of comics from about 1977 to 1997, basically everything Wolverine and Hulk, and they're all in boxes in my basement. My 1 kid has read a lot of them, got them into reading them in the subscription service, they're too expensive to buy these days, and people born after 2000 seem all about digital over physical. They just don't do "stuff". I reread them occasionally but mostly just take them out to post cover pics on social media.π
@get2sammyb While things could go horribly wrong by putting Fairgames in the SoP, especially if they end with it, the problem is if they exclude it, everyone is going to be watching the entire showing thinking about Fairgames and crossing their fingers it isn't the last thing they show.

Best they can probably do is start the show with something big like Wolverine or Intergalactic, show Fairgames next whole everyone is busy on social media talking about the first game, then move on quick.
I think Sony has spent too much money on it not to be in there, but it can't open or close, just get it over with quick. If they don't get it over with quick all of our fingers are going to go numb from keeping them crossed for an hour hoping it doesn't show up. So don't think of it as a SoP, think of it as an early jump on Summer Game Fest. It's June, it's what gaming companies do. Though Nintendo will just drop their summer show on their new app w/o warning. π

Looking forward to the update. PS App says I have 45 hours and 50%. I think I'm up to the last main story quest, level 24 requirement, and I have to do the band side quest. I'm not really into most of the side stuff - got fishing to level 2, did the Pink Paws Bank Heist and serving in the Cafe exactly one each - but I have really enjoyed the story and character missions, pretty much anything with voice acting. Oh and I beat the first race against Sunday, I really should use my million fonts to buy a new car before getting a 3rd apartment. Buy I'm not racing any more,the controls suck, and there's nothing to it. I hated the required race with that woman trying to sell me her car,took me 3 or 4 attempts.π
But I'm still looking forward to more. ZZZ really seemed to open up as time went on, though I stopped playing it so I'm not sure to what extent, and I'm hoping this story goes somewhere at some point. I mean I have amnesia and I'm a special gufted appraiser for a reason, right? π€·ββοΈ

I don't like 2D-HD so have never played a game in that style. I did get through very pixelated Sea of Stars w/ my wife and kid so if this has or gets couch co-op I'll give it a try.
Edit: Watched the trailer, forgot how good this looks. I really hate multiple time periods and characters etc but maybe it turns out OK? There does seem to be some weird 2nd player assist character but that's not co-op, not really. We'll give the demo a try but that sprite is a little too Nintendo nagging for my liking. But maybe.
So the 1 single player game they put out every year won't be ported to PC? Whatever will PC gamers do without them?
It does make sense for Sony to keep those limited games to themselves though, if they expect people to pay $999 for a PS6 to be playing mostly the same games we'll still be playing on PS5 for a few years after launch.

US raises tarriffs. Companies raise prices. Companies take consumers money and pay tarifds. US pays money back to companies. Companies do NOT pay money back to customers. Rich get richer, poor get screwed per usual.
Jak and Daxter is my all time favorite game, and my only platinum to prove it. Though I suppose a caveat is in order as my all time favorite platformer. Uncharted 2 is my all time favorite interactive movie and Xenoblade Chronicles is my all time favorite JRPG.
That said, only the 1st game. 2 sucked as it's a mission based GTA wannabe that can't get anything right, 3 is slightly better b/c they get it right, and who cares about Jak X. I mean they called the game Jak X so obviously even they didn't care about it.
So I've been waiting 20 years for a proper sequel and oh man would it be so great to get one.
I've been excited a few times but I always get let down playing other games. Yooka Laylee had some potential during the first world and a half, but then it just falls off a cliff. A Hat in Time was really good but not quite the same vibe. Splatoon Raiders looks like it has potential but they'll probably make it a rogue something which I don't like. Donkey Kong Bananza was pretty good.
Who knows, it's probably impossible for old man me to like anything that much again, but could happen.
Nothing could be as bad as Hereos on the Move though. They took their best 3 Playstation mascots and made a game without a jump button?!?! Who approved that!?!? π€¬

Driving in that Kart mode still looks atrocious. At least the Porsche has some speed. My fastest car is the little green 1, saving up fons for my $1.4M 3rd apartment.

Looking forward to the update, I finished the last quest w/ the band - all Cs b/c I never even bothered w/ the middle 2 columns- yesterday and I finished the last main quest the day before that. I just can't get into the rest of those time wasting activities like mahjong, taxi and delivery. I'm hunter level 32 and tycoon level 15. I'll probably fight the erst of the anomalies but that's it. Oh and the 6 exclamation points, though they're fairly lame.
I'm curious about the Kart racing. The driving controls in this game are the absolute worst. Just hold R2 and attempt to steer. I don't understand how it feels that and to drive, so I never do. π

Mine says "This players profile is set to private" with the words "Set to Public" underneath.
Anyone else get that? I'm on the newest gen iPad, 11 or 16 or something they changed their numbering system again, using the Brave browser b/c it works on here, my Android phone and Mint Linux PCS.
Edit: I set privacy to everyone so it's working now. My first trophy in 2009 wasn't Stardust HD, b/c while it was the first game listed it had 0 trophies, my first trophy was Noby Noby Boy. Think I'm going to go set my account back to private now.π

@get2sammyb I bought a lot of comics from about 1977 to 1997, basically everything Wolverine and Hulk, and they're all in boxes in my basement. My 1 kid has read a lot of them, got them into reading them in the subscription service, they're too expensive to buy these days, and people born after 2000 seem all about digital over physical. They just don't do "stuff". I reread them occasionally but mostly just take them out to post cover pics on social media.π

@get2sammyb While things could go horribly wrong by putting Fairgames in the SoP, especially if they end with it, the problem is if they exclude it, everyone is going to be watching the entire showing thinking about Fairgames and crossing their fingers it isn't the last thing they show.
Are you familiar with the thought experiment - don't think about a pink elephant.
Best they can probably do is start the show with something big like Wolverine or Intergalactic, show Fairgames next whole everyone is busy on social media talking about the first game, then move on quick.
I think Sony has spent too much money on it not to be in there, but it can't open or close, just get it over with quick. If they don't get it over with quick all of our fingers are going to go numb from keeping them crossed for an hour hoping it doesn't show up. They just need to make the rest of the show so good that 1 hiccup doesn't matter.π€

I'm getting close to being done with gaming. I can't see myself paying for online ever again.
Now, I could see maybe getting another subscription service, but it would have to be a really good value. Maybe for like a month here or there, equivalent to a rental. Plucky Squire was very much worth the $ I paid for a month of Extra compared to it's full MSRP. But just to ongoing subscribe. It has to be a game by game basis.
Kinda glad my kids, who grew up with every Nintendo and Sony console, are moving over to PC. HDMI out and controllers work just fine. Sucks about the RAM but hopefully AI dies soon. Before it kills us all first.π

While announcing a SoP 2 weeks in advance may seem weird, this is also their June show, aka the formerly E3 time period, aka the Geoff Keighly NOT E3 show, so just think of it as announcing THAT show 2 weeks early, b/c E3 show times were always given out far in advance.
So don't think of it as a SoP, think of it as an early jump on Summer Game Fest. It's June, it's what gaming companies do. Though Nintendo will just drop their summer show on their new app w/o warning. π
Looking forward to Wolverine. Curious if they can get me to buy a game I've been waiting 5 years for, or if they'll somehow find a way to turn it into a souls like or rogue like and have me lose all interest. On the bright side it's not first person. π

Looking forward to the update. PS App says I have 45 hours and 50%. I think I'm up to the last main story quest, level 24 requirement, and I have to do the band side quest. I'm not really into most of the side stuff - got fishing to level 2, did the Pink Paws Bank Heist and serving in the Cafe exactly one each - but I have really enjoyed the story and character missions, pretty much anything with voice acting. Oh and I beat the first race against Sunday, I really should use my million fonts to buy a new car before getting a 3rd apartment. Buy I'm not racing any more,the controls suck, and there's nothing to it. I hated the required race with that woman trying to sell me her car,took me 3 or 4 attempts.π
But I'm still looking forward to more. ZZZ really seemed to open up as time went on, though I stopped playing it so I'm not sure to what extent, and I'm hoping this story goes somewhere at some point. I mean I have amnesia and I'm a special gufted appraiser for a reason, right? π€·ββοΈ

I don't like 2D-HD so have never played a game in that style. I did get through very pixelated Sea of Stars w/ my wife and kid so if this has or gets couch co-op I'll give it a try.
Edit: Watched the trailer, forgot how good this looks. I really hate multiple time periods and characters etc but maybe it turns out OK? There does seem to be some weird 2nd player assist character but that's not co-op, not really. We'll give the demo a try but that sprite is a little too Nintendo nagging for my liking. But maybe.

It does make sense for Sony to keep those limited games to themselves though, if they expect people to pay $999 for a PS6 to be playing mostly the same games we'll still be playing on PS5 for a few years after launch.
It's really not gaming's heyday right now. Feels like that ship has sailed, and is slowly taking on water and sinking. π

Jak and Daxter is my all time favorite game, and my only platinum to prove it. Though I suppose a caveat is in order as my all time favorite platformer. Uncharted 2 is my all time favorite interactive movie and Xenoblade Chronicles is my all time favorite JRPG.
That said, only the 1st game. 2 sucked as it's a mission based GTA wannabe that can't get anything right, 3 is slightly better b/c they get it right, and who cares about Jak X. I mean they called the game Jak X so obviously even they didn't care about it.
So I've been waiting 20 years for a proper sequel and oh man would it be so great to get one.
I've been excited a few times but I always get let down playing other games. Yooka Laylee had some potential during the first world and a half, but then it just falls off a cliff. A Hat in Time was really good but not quite the same vibe. Splatoon Raiders looks like it has potential but they'll probably make it a rogue something which I don't like. Donkey Kong Bananza was pretty good.
Who knows, it's probably impossible for old man me to like anything that much again, but could happen.
Nothing could be as bad as Hereos on the Move though. They took their best 3 Playstation mascots and made a game without a jump button?!?! Who approved that!?!? π€¬
