'Can't Wait to Show You': Intergalactic PS5 Wraps MoCap Days Before State of Play 1

Naughty Dog has completed Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet’s “very ambitious” motion capture shoot, meaning the game has crossed another major milestone.

While this certainly doesn’t mean development is complete, it does indicate that all of the cut-scene performances have now wrapped.

There will likely be some pick-ups the dev will need to do, and I imagine Tati Gabrielle, who plays protagonist Jordan A. Mun, will have to do more vocal lines – but it means the game is getting closer now.

Rumours have always pointed to a 2027 release date, and there was some speculation over the weekend that the game may feature during a September State of Play.

We now know that said livestream’s scheduled to take place on 3rd September, although the PS Blog points out that Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will be the closing game.

Could that be misdirection from Sony? Or could Intergalactic open the show?

We’ll find out in a few days. But with the motion capture now complete for Intergalactic, it at least suggests the game is finally getting close to completion.
