@11001100110zero Thanks, a lot of good info in there. I'll just add just b/c they might be able to do it, get games to run on Series S, doesn't mean they will. I'm still not convinced they couldn't get clouds in the Horizon dlc to work on the PS4. Or R & C if they really wanted to. There's usually a work around. Switch got a lot of games it probably shouldn't have, but it has them. Switch, not Switch 2, that seems legit enough,like the Series S.

Not an NG+ kinda guy but it's nice tye have it ready day 1 b/c this feels like the kinda game where that will actually be played a lot.
Having it ready at release makes me think the game could have released in June or July but Sony said September - I feel like Sony games are March & September for some reason - so they had time.

I wonder if my library has an "adult" game section somewhere? Last time I was there I found a teen section and a kids section but it still seemed like a few fames were missing. First off, I think it's a really great edition so hats off to Ant or whoever for adding the "Local time" to the list of show times, but why is it at the bottom of the list? Did you all get on a zoom call and decide people want to know what time the show is on where they live, but it's really not that important to them they'd much rather know what time it's on around the globe more?

I think MS's "Helix" will be a console only slightly more powerful than Series X but as a new console gen MS won't have to mandate Series S compatibility so any Helix game can just run on Helix. Or maybe Series X if they want to, but not Series S, b/c it's a Helix game, not Series X/S game.

Which is kinda slimey, but this is MS we're talking about so kinda par for the course as well.

Switch 2 compatibility will keep some 3rd party stuff this gen looking for the next 5 years or so but MS 1st party stuff, which is a lot b/c they bought so many big devs, won't have to worry about S or Switch 2.

Was it down 50% YoY May 25-26 or from April to May month to month? I suppose it doesn't matter too much, down 50% is down 50%, buy YoY could be PS5 reaching it's natural end life saturation point of a 5yo console. Month to month is a big drop-off.

Maybe the numerous September games will give them a bump, and GTAV, along w/ a probable holiday sales price cut if sales keep dropping like this, but 100mil is still a lot, and people keeping talking about PS6, so the slowdown is kind of inevitable really.

But 50% is still a lot. Ouch.

I think people need to accept that we're not getting blown away by these shows ever again. Yes, the shows are better, I think they've got it down, but it takes 3-5 years to make tye new games we want to see that blow our minds. When games took a year and we got all our gaming news from E3 every year it was easy to be blown away by all new games b/c there were a half dozen of them. Now we get 1, GoW, and it's not the game some people want. I can see why some people think it sucks, they're comparing it to the good Ole days, but those days are gone.

The Wolverine dev should release the same exact trailer, or as close to it as they can get since live action gameplay, with the blood toggle turned off, so we can see it for ourselves. And they can get another 3 million views. Admittedly with all dislikes and horrible comments, but it's more exposure just the same.

I watched it once. I ll watch the rest bit by bit on YT like I always do. Watched Lufaey w/ my wife last night. Even she knew it was KAren PAge after a few minutes. She’s not sure how she feels about that. She said “Real actress head on a CG body wasn’t working for her.”

As someone who has been buying Wolverine comic books since Hulk 181 and bought most of the X-Men and Wolverine comics through the early 90s, and has seen all the Wolverine movies more than once, there has never been that much blood anywhere in anything other than this game so to proclaim "You simply can't have Wolverine without all of that blood." is simply factually wrong. It's not just an opinion that's wrong, it's factually wrong. Wolverine has existed for 50 years, and there's never been that much blood.

I mean I don't think there even can be that much blood. I don't think the human body contains as much blood as is shown bursting out of them in that video yesterday. Yes, there should be blood, but go watch any slasher movie or shogun movie with people getting cut apart with swords, and there isn't that much blood. Maybe in Monty Python when it spews everywhere as the Black Knight is dismembered.😂

Whether I turn it off or not I'll leave up to my wife who will watch me play it. Probably try it with and without to see how it goes. I actually found it more distracting that he kept being covered in blood, except his claws, then it vanished. And it kept distracting me. So it might be better without it.

Keep it or lose it, it's a game, and games aren't meant to be realistic, realism is boring, it's why I play games, to get away from boring, but to say "It isn't Wolverine without everything being covered in blood." just isn't true. 🤷

As much as I really like Wolverine I do hope we get to play a little bit as a couple of the others. I was hoping for Collosus to smash some people in the face and run through some walls but Sabretooth might be good for some of that.

Maybe Juggernaut will be in there. Nice change of pace for Wolverine to fight someone he can't slice and dice.

Was this released as early access? Sounds like it's been too good to refer to it as a beta but if they ever called a version "gone gold" well maybe that was more like silver?

I mean it's no No Man's Sky but that game is just GaaS to me at this point, like Minecraft in Space or some such.

Never really been a fan of racing games but I really like the name Clutch. I did play Motorstorm Apocalypse and enjoyed it, could see myself picking this up on sale if it has a fun little single player storyline.

This game should easily make it's money back if they're planning on turning it into a series. People not getting it now may buy it for $20 in 3 years ahead of a sequel. Maybe in a couple of years for $30 for the complete directors cut or whatever. It's James Bond, they can sell this game for years.

Seems like a library borrow to me. I'll give it a year to see if it's done. Still waiting on Ghost of Yotei dlc so no rush.

If Liam was playing this during COVID that's 6 years ago. No company should be expected to support a game for more than 5 years on any platform. I mean yeah it sucks if you just bought the game and a PS4 to play it on but that's kinda on you in 2026.

I'm not pro MS, CoD or even capitalism just acknowledging everything ends eventually, and 5 years seems a decent amount of time to get your money's worth out of a video game. Wondering what the "it's not dlc" will cost in 2027? Where the first 2 about $15 each? I bought the "Complete Edition" on sale for $15 soon after it released, so I'll get this for like $2.99, however long it takes to go on sale for that price. I have about 30 games in my Wishlist and they are pretty much all on sale, except for Lego Horizon. Seems a pretty weird 1 for them to exclude. My library has it, I'll borrow it eventually.

Looking forward to the update, I finished the last quest w/ the band - all Cs b/c I never even bothered w/ the middle 2 columns- yesterday and I finished the last main quest the day before that. I just can't get into the rest of those time wasting activities like mahjong, taxi and delivery. I'm hunter level 32 and tycoon level 15. I'll probably fight the erst of the anomalies but that's it. Oh and the 6 exclamation points, though they're fairly lame.

I'm curious about the Kart racing. The driving controls in this game are the absolute worst. Just hold R2 and attempt to steer. I don't understand how it feels that and to drive, so I never do. 😝

Edit: I set privacy to everyone so it's working now. My first trophy in 2009 wasn't Stardust HD, b/c while it was the first game listed it had 0 trophies, my first trophy was Noby Noby Boy. Think I'm going to go set my account back to private now.😂

@get2sammyb I bought a lot of comics from about 1977 to 1997, basically everything Wolverine and Hulk, and they're all in boxes in my basement. My 1 kid has read a lot of them, got them into reading them in the subscription service, they're too expensive to buy these days, and people born after 2000 seem all about digital over physical. They just don't do "stuff". I reread them occasionally but mostly just take them out to post cover pics on social media.😂
