@Spider-Kev @BonezKnowz Thanks. Yes I have “dark mode” on. I always have dark mode on all my devices, iPad, phone, PC. But as Spider said maybe NL and PS were still white even with dark mode on, until recently? I really like it on NL, the reddish orange pops, but on PS the dark blue is unreadable to me. I mean common sense kinda says to me don’t use dark blue type on a solid black background but I’m weird like that.😂

Anyway thanks to you both. Knowing what’s going on is my first step to finding a solution. I’ll figure something out. Or not.

Has anyone else had this website start showing up with a black background and dark blue hyperlinks the past few days? It started when I upgraded my iPad OS to 27 so it could just be me, but I use the Brave browser, not Safari, so that shouldn’t have affect it. Nintendo Life did the same thing, black background with matching orange hyperlinks, but the orange is very easy to read on the black, the dark blue just kinda fades into the background and I can’t read it without squinting up close. 😝

Was going to make a joke about port begging but if PS5 can already play these basically PS4 ports I think we need a new term, something like upgrade patch begging, but not so stupid sounding. 😂

I think I purchased these years ago, really cheap, but forgot to play them. They’re probably sitting on an old unplugged external HDD somewhere. 😝

I’m just finding out now that the dev that made Heavenly Sword and Enslaved also made Disney Infinity and my brain can not even begin to comprehend that information. It’s like finding out Dr. Fauci and RFK Jr are the same person. 🤯

Both HS and Enslaved were great. I only bought DI for my kids to play, we had ALL the toys to life games back then, and DI was by far the worst. So I am speaking from experience, not just what I’ve read.

@dwayne91 The 1 thing that’s really killing Starfox for me is aiming to shoot. It’s on the left stick but it doesn’t move smoothly and it doesn’t stay anywhere. It’s like aiming a pinball on a table by jamming your hip into it. I don’t understand how or why it doesn’t just track. Well ok I guess I do, it’s set up like drift testing software where you spin your stick around and it always bounces back, but you can’t AIM like that. Maybe I’ll check the settings later and figure something out.

@Haruki_NLI Yeah I think I saw that somewhere. But if Remake is 90 and Rebirth is 100 and Revelation is 130, well that’s 320. People are going to need a bigger SD card. Come to think of it my internal and SD card may both be near full. Good thing I’m getting OoT on the card. Even with the Nintendo magic that can’t be too small.

@Haruki_NLI How much of that Switch 2 256GB of storage is even available after the OS takes up it's share? At some point, say after the 2 paid dlc season pass on part 3 of a remake of a 30 year old game, the full game may be too big to fit. Like, you might only be able to have 1 of the 2 dlc downloaded at a time. 😂

TBF I'm sure the 1080p version on Switch 2 requires a lot less space than the 4k or 1440 version on PS5 but still, needing an expensive fast new SD card for 1 game seems a big ask. Does make me wonder how much space almost 3 of the games would take up? Would it fir on a 512 card or do you need a TB?🤑

I think I have 2 of the 1TB SSDs in my PS5 and they're both almost full. I had to delete a bunch of stuff when I bought the Darksiders trilogy for my kid. 😝

@dwayne91 It’s crazy how bad some great games have aged. FF8 is one of my favorites. My wife and I watched my kid play it and they barely got through it.

I’ve been gaming since Pong, still have my Atari 7800, but then I skipped like a decade while I was in grad school and started back up again with the PS and GameCube, so I missed the NES, SNES, N64, Genesis and Saturn. I won’t play anything 8 or 16 bit, or looks like it, but it’s still really crazy to me how games that still look good to me, 32 bit and beyond, I have such a hard time playing.

I did only get the DualShock version of the PS, missed the non-stick, so that’s a good shout out about the dual sticks. That’s where my fingers go. I can still handle the Switch Pro layout, though Sony and Nintendo purposely switching the Accept and Cancel buttons will always bother me. 😂

30 years from now everyone making games will only know how to make games using AI b/c that’s how they’ll be taught and teach themselves.

Also in 30 years there will only be 3 people still playing video games and everyone else will just be watching them on YouTube.

I won’t play it again but my kid, now 21, has been saying they want to play it for years now, so next year might be a good time.

I know what he means about going back to old favorite games though. I’m currently replaying Starfox Adventure, 1 of my favorites, and it’s almost unplayable. The aiming is damn near impossible and the camera shoulder button is funky, and the fighting is just button mashing. I’m still enjoying my return, the setting and characters, even Tricky, are still fun, but old games never age well.

I tried playing Waio Land (GameCube) and DK64 (N64) for the first time on the same NSO+ service but I just can’t. I don’t want to go back nd I can’t play them. I wonder how Sunshine and Luigi’s Mansion will hold up?

I can get past a slow start if the ending makes it pay off - Silo was super slow for 2 1/2 seasons and then mid season 3 they hit the NOS and took off and now I can’t wait for season 4.

Blade Runner 2049 was 3 hours of talking and then at the end someone said something like - there’s a huge civil war coming - and then it ended. MiHC felt rushed and weird. Not as bad as His Dark Mateials which just ended with the Blue Lagoon but that’s not good company to be in.

Part of it is just me though, I can’t hardly remember anything, and the slower it is the less I seem to remember. I need something visceral to burn into my brain. Talking ain’t that. Kinda sad but it is.

@The_Hooligan Using the touchpad is a nice idea. That “touchpad” never gets used except as 1 big button, maybe 2 buttons, in any games I play. But even then, not bright blue, yellow or gray will do.

Had thought about buying it with the money Amazon credited me for returning Splatoon Raiders but I bought a new router instead. I still want to play it, but I think I’ll wait a bit to see if my library decides to carry it. 20 hours means I can just fit it in.

@wildcat_kickz I don’t know what happened to High Castle but my wife and I found it slow and boring and the conclusion was just - That’s it? - for us. I’ve read it’s nothing like the book, which apparently no one at Amazon had ever read.😂

It does remind me of the Blade Runner sequel now that you mention it. I thought that was slow and boring as well. I’m not sure how they got there either, the original is so epic. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@Flaming_Kaiser I think she had that affect on a lot of people. I skipped her after a few tries of summoning in real people to help a couple of times and all 3 of us still got slaughtered. 😂

I watched my kid play Clair Obscur on hard mode, b/c they play everything on hard mode, but I had to bail on the 2 hours it took them to beat final post game boss Simon. They compared him to Melania but that’s the only other boss I can think of.

@ShadowRJ Yeah I get it, Wolverine’s sense of smell is so strong he has no problem tracking things, but it’s SO BLUE. In a game that is mostly brown. It’s an odor. Probably mostly from old sweaty men who STINK. He isn’t following Grimace. 😂

Makes me wonder what colors they also considered before settling on bright baby blue. I’m sure there are test videos of at least half a dozen different colors and I’m having a hard time imagining all of them looked worse than this. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I know it’s just a small thing but I always suspected this game would just be Uncharted with claws so nothing else I’m aware of has bothered me. It’s Wolverine.

I haven’t played any of it but I watched 1 video where Wolverine is following a dark blue line that looks so solid at first I thought he was walking on it. I half assumed it was fake. We’ve had scent trails in video games before and they tend to be light yellow barely noticeable puffs and wisps of smoke. The bright blue nearly solid like in Wolverine looked like it would have fit right in in Infamous Second Son.

I mean that bright blue was a choice. I’m still kind of hoping the vid was fake. Or a colorblind option. Options are good. But if that is indeed the default, es no bueno.

“Delaying” it from September to December seems less like a “delay” and more like skipping over this update and moving on to the next one. If it was October 8th, a few weeks, fine, it’s a delay, but 10 weeks seems a lot for a live game. I only play a few of them but 6 weeks seems about the schedule. Occasionally maybe for or 8. If any of them delayed an update 10 weeks I think people would move.

And the ones I play are all free to start. Asking people for $40 then hitting them with a 10 week delay seems not good for building your base. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Oh it’s THAT guy. Thanks. I feel like he’s shown up in a few things I’ve watched since High Castle and my wife and I always refer to him as the man from HC. I watched a lot of King of the Hill back in the day when it first aired, don’t recall him in that. I’d guess Hanks boss but that’s just a guess. I do remember him in Office Space but only b/c you mentioned it.

Edit: ok I take it all back, he’s always been the News Radio guy to me, but I didn’t realize that was him b/c I never see High Castle and News Radio mentioned in the same sentence. @Llamageddon Pretty sure my wife thinks all trophies are stupid, the in game pop-up ones every time you just simply progress the story drive her crazy, but she also usually has me check after a session if I’ve gotten several that night. Maybe her feelings are best described as “mixed”.

She doesn’t really game solo, recently played and finished Zelda Echos of Wisdom in a couple of weeks, she just plays co-op with me whenever I can find a co-op game worth playing. Currently playing Split Fiction but it’s a little difficult for her so not sure how much further we can go, controls and camera are both a bit wonky in her defense. She used to play Mario Kart and Smash w/ the kids when they were little but they aren’t little anymore. She’ll play 4 player co-op, last of those was Mario Wonder, but those are few and far between. She’s not even going to attempt anything like Rayman, I played both of those with the kids.

Guess we both lucked out with gamer spouses though, go us.😁

I played most of it at release on PS2.

Then years later I played it again on either PS3 or PS4, wherever I own it, to about 96%.

Then years later I said “What the heck” and spent about an hour getting the 4 orbs I was missing.

I think 1 of the Rachet & Clank games I’m at or near 80% of the trophies. After that I’m usually around 50-60% for the games I play to completion. I don’t like games telling me what to do.😂

These days I’m interested in any game that says it has difficulty options so I’ll pay attention. Though it’s hard for me to keep track with all these 3 word title games. It’s like a rule now. It’s either 3 words or 2 words when the first word is “Project”.😝

Don’t care enough to watch the new trailer but I do think having a new title like “Break In” is a good move b/c both Fairgame$ and Fairgames was 100% cursed and DOA.

I’m not reading 108 reviews, 1 was enough, but at least it seems like the 77 score was earned and not a matter of 50 people gave it 100 and 50 gave it 0 b/c of woke or some other BS.

Seems like it’s 2026 and as much as people complain about the boringness of open world they still want something non-linear at least.

This always looked like Unchrted with claws to me, but in 2026 people expected more than that from this. The $70 price probably not helping but I don’t think it’s a disc revolt, just sounds like the game is what the game is.

I don’t know what their sales projections are but I think it will sell. I mean if you already have a PS5 what else are you going to buy while you wait for GTA6? Ok Onimusha is an option, but Wolverine still has some cache.

If Wolverine wasn’t in this and it was just Darksiders 4 (review reads like Darksiders 1 to me) I think they’d be in trouble. But he is so, we’ll see.

In my head this was a Wii U game at one point. 😂

I was interested when they showed it way back when and it was due out that year, but I doubt I will ever play it at this point, whether or whenever it does finally release.

I’ve never played OoT and wasn’t sure I would but the Unreal 5 looking graphics running on Nintendo hardware really makes me feel like I should. And as @dimey pointed out HLTB has it at about 30 hours, which seems worth the price of admission as a new to me game.

Still thinking about playing GTA V so 6 has about a decade to wait. 🤣

I played some of the Onimusha demo and it was Onimusha. I may play it some day but don’t see any rush. Pretty sure it will be half price or less by the time I have time to play it.

To give you a sense of my play time my wife and I started Spilt Fiction just last night. I bought it last summer for $35. Think that was a sale price from $50.

@Yousef- New gacha games are coming out all the time though. This website has a bunch, my Instagram feed is filled with them. But my Switch 2 has Fortnite and that’s about it. Oh and Disney Speedstorm as well. I just don’t think Nintendo likes sharing money. Or free to start not requiring paid online subscriptions.

Oh and ACNH did get later game updates. It just got a fairly big one I think and there was another somewhat big one a few years ago, and maybe 1 more before that. I mean I totally get what youre saying, they should have treated it like a $60-to-start game like Dreamlight Valley, but they didn’t abandon it completely, just for like its first 3 years. See also MK8 DX getting a ton of dlc like 5 years after it released (the second time 😝).

This 1 looks too much like ACNH to me, rather have something different looking. That new Hoyoverse game that graphically looks more photorealistic needs more coverage, though I don’t think it’s gacha, more Monster Hunter.
