Marvel's Wolverine Offers Up One Last Trailer Before Launch on PS5 1

Sony and Insomniac Games have debuted the launch trailer for Marvel's Wolverine, the latest PS5 exclusive that's coming in less than two weeks.

Watch it below:

It doesn't really tell us much we didn't know already — this is a Wolverine game, it's super violent, and you'll be joined by a range of classic X-Men heroes and villains.

It's a cool trailer that's stuffed with action and superhero moments, just what you'd expect from Insomniac's latest.

I saw someone say that this game looks 'corporate', and I think that's the best way I can explain how I feel about what I've seen every time they've shown it.

Really safe with mass market appeal, super accessible and optimised to perfection. These aren't bad things but I can't help but feel underwhelmed.

@Atreus97 Not arguing with your perspective (we're all entitled to our own), but personally I feel like they made this game specifically for me.

I've been reading X-Men books since the early 90s and I didn't want a 30 hour open world game on this occasion. I wanted something fast paced that captured the spirit of 90s Wolverine and I'm not disappointed so far.

I'll be tucking it away for Christmas morning and I can't wait.

Something darker, grittier, and I guess less 'modern Marvel'. Watch the initial teaser trailer from 4 years ago, then watch everything they've shown since. There's a difference in the tone and presentation.

I’m hoping they still have some surprises for us b/c while it looks really good I don’t feel in too much of a rush to play it.

It would be nice if they let us play as other characters different from Wolverine. Gambit throwing playing cards, Colossus punching through walls, Jean moving stuff with her mind. Wolverine is Wolverine. He’s great. He’s my favorite. But he’s basically a 1 trick pony. And he even admits it in a way, best there is at what I do, but what I do isn’t very nice. The change of outfits from street clothes to costume does help make things look a little different, but Logan is still basically Wolverine. It’s not like the difference between Peter Parker and Spider-Man.

If you only play as Wolverine I’ll probably wait, just in case. And it’s not like any games released finished these days anyway, there’s almost always something.

Been on an X-men binge the last few months so definitely gonna pick this up day one. Also managed to secure the faceplates and controller

It's looking better and better, and the Wolverine Omnibus I'm reading is getting better and better too. He's such a good character, the Weapon X series is brilliant too.

Do they get a bonus for designing unappealing characters?
I cannot stand the Psylocke design, at least the gameplay looks good.
