While the cool surprise was spoiled ahead of time last week with a leaked list of PlayStation Now game additions, this official line-up is still a corker. Better yet, there are actually two more PS4 titles includes in the list of games headed to Sony's secondary service for the month of July 2021. As previously leaked, Red Dead Redemption 2 is indeed the headline addition. The only caveat is that you can only download the game — streaming isn't an option while it sticks around until 1st November 2021.
Another limited-time PS4 game is Judgment, which will be available to play (both through download and streaming) until 4th October 2021. It's important to clarify this will not be the recent PS5 remaster of the Yakuza spin-off. Permanent additions to the service are Nioh 2 (PS4 version again), Moving Out, God of War, Olympic Games Tokyo 2020: The Official Video Game, and Nascar Heat 5. Those final two titles weren't part of the leak, so we'll take them as nice surprises. The Olympic game only just launched in the west, so we can follow along on PS4 as Great Britain snaps up some gold medals in real life too.
At a glance, the PS Now game additions for July 2021 are:
- Red Dead Redemption 2 (Until 1st November 2021, streaming not allowed)
- Judgment (Until 4th October 2021)
- Nioh 2
- Moving Out
- God of War
- Olympic Games Tokyo 2020: The Official Video Game
- Nascar Heat 5
As this new list of titles enters PS Now, we also have to say goodbye to two games. Marvel's Avengers and The Crew 2 leave the PS Now service today. For a list of All PlayStation Now Games, head on through the link. Are you happy with this month's line-up? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

I won't be renewing this month then. Decent games of course but I've already played the ones I want. Avengers was decent enough for the campaign but glad I didn't pay full whack.
Wow great month! really excited for judgement and Olympics! These alone are worth for the whole year sub for me.
Nice, definitely playing the Olympics game.
Do Olympic games still trash your controllers? I've never played them since we tore apart my mates N64 controllers on International Track and Field back in the day...
Sublime month yet again. Good work Sony.
Strong, big, impressive. Enough of me.
That's a really outstanding lineup.
Tbh they could have spread these across three months and it still would have been pretty good.
Will Nioh 2 include the PS5 version?
Wtf the Olympics game already? Wow I'm so so glad I didn't buy it...I almost did lol
Frankly ridiculous month. I held off on RDR2 only having a basic, launch day PS4 but looking forward to playing it on PS5 now. Will happily pour hours into Judgement too and me and the boy can play Moving Out together.
Already got the PS5 version of Nioh 2 but I can't recommend it enough to anyone who hasn't played it. Amazing game.
This (sort of) makes up for a terrible PS Plus month
Great list of additions. Every game is worth a play through
@Welsh_Will then again Mario Party destroyed my N64 stick too. Far too many.gamesntjat abused pads back then
Bought Judgment on the 26th and just plat'd it today. I highly recommend it, especially story-wise.
@prince_myshkin No, that's just the PS4 version too.
Good month, hope this is the beginning of Sony improving PS Now.
Sony stepping up their game with ps now, this months additions are miles better than what gamepass is adding (this month)
@mrtennis1990 - You seem to be pleased with these additions and how Sony are stepping up the PSNow releases yet in the D&D post you condemn Game Pass and urge people to buy their games. Curious.
Yessss, Moving out and Judgment will do for me as I own the rest of games.
Excellent month, looking forward to Nioh 2, but just bought Olympic games 2020 game, got to stop buying games.
Eh forget red dead redemption, The Tokyo Olympics game might actually lead me to try psnow
@UltimateOtaku91 maybe not your thing but much more looking forward to trying out flight sim on gamepass this month...
Strong month then... Hopefully they can keep this momentum for a few months. (There are 3 "won't buy them, but would love trying them" games in that lineup for me, that's huge)
Sony needs to have a section on PS Now titled "Limited Time games" or something. I wanted to play the Crew 2 eventually but thought I had more time only to realize that it was leaving tomorrow. Every game that is eventually leaving should be placed into that category so I know to prioritize playing them.
@ATaco that's the same on Gamepass for everything that isn't Microsoft owned
lol still think Xbox game pass is better, i have all the PlayStation games on disc I want from playstation 1 to 4,
day one release on game pass cant beat it and the backwards compatibility is wonderful. hopefully mr ryan will give us backwards compatibility on the ps5 lol
I am interested in every single PS Now game here.
I just finished Far Cry 4 and was going to start 5 but I will put that off and play Judgement first since I am a huge Yakuza fan and then Red Dead 2
@Kopite So you're saying that Gamepass doesn't have a section that let's you know which games are leaving either? That's weird...you'd think that they'd give people more of a heads up when games are only available for a limited time, besides manually checking each game.
@mrtennis1990 - It just seemed like your comments were at odds with each other. Thanks for the clarification.
@Shigurui And thus the cycle continues. You'll see this more and more if Sony want to compete with gamepass - fanboys condemning subscription services now applauding Sony for theirs.
@nessisonett ;
@ATaco I'm not sure but the majority of stuff is on there for a limited time
@ATaco There is a section that tells you the games leaving Game Pass in the next two weeks or so.
@Illy333 Not sure what that’s in reference to 😂
@The_New_Butler I Think One Good Thing About God Of War 2018 On PS Now Is That You Can Play It Along With The Other 6 God Of War Games That Are Already On The Service.
@nessisonett I wondered if your willingness to play the Olympics game was a genuine attempt at irony. The game seems a bit substandard, kinda like all sport events related games.
@Illy333 Nah, I always enjoyed those games growing up. Genuinely looks like good fun and I’ve only heard good things about it.
@ATaco you want to know how gamepass informs people ? by simply waiting until the game has 15 days left and telling people here you have this x number of days to play and it will be gone, it never tells you that a game is staying for x time and that's one of the ridiculous reasons psnow is criticized for is that games don't stay long whereas gamepass gets a pass because they don't inform you in the first place lol
@gamiller1978 I keep telling myself that, my backlog is getting a bit ridiculous now!
@LiamCroft Ah ok that's decent. I would preferably like a month notice so I don't have to rush but the only game I knew was leaving was Avengers because that was the only one they pasted as "last chance to play" on ps now's main menu. I'll have to write down the games I need to play somewhere I guess so I don't miss them like I did the Crew 2. Shouldn't have to...but oh well. I'm not sure there's enough desire for something like this.
@OthmaneAD I do like that we know how long a game will be available on PS Now, the "Netflix" nature of Gamepass where a game could be pulled with only a two week notice isn't great. I'd just like a section on PS Now where I can quickly check which games are only available for a limited time. For example I had to look up a video on YouTube to remind myself that Borderlands 3 isn't a permanent addition and that I'll need to get to it sometime before September. It's too easy to forget or not notice these things when you're just casually skimming games.
Can anyone confirm when the new July games drop? I can't find that information anywhere on the Internet.
My PS Now has expired last month. Didn't realise and got excited when I saw the Olympics game this month! Damn!
Not really any point subbing for £50 for another year though just so I can play a £35 game!!
One of the best months for PS Now, I hope they keep it up!
Decent month. Backlog city. 😄
Best month ever? I've played most of the games but you can't deny the quality here
@mrobinson91 they typically go live the same day the Plus games become available
I almost bought the Olympics game and I'm very relieved I didn't, just played a few events on PS Now, and it's really subpar, mechanically no further forward from sports games in the Dreamcast and GameCube era.
Tokyo Olympics game sucks, Nascar sucks too, Red Dead and God of War been playing them since at least two years, yes got em both and Im just curious about Judgement and Nioh 2. No way in hell I'd play a Sonic game.
Is this the first time Ps now has beaten Ps Plus so easily? Also, has there been a better month ever in Ps Now's history?
