@Burntbreadman thanks for saying this. I'm shocked 11,000 units were sold because I've been searching high and low and on a daily basis and I can't find anywhere that has one for sale. I'm sure if there were more available they would all sell out and I for one would buy one ASAP.

I don't think there's any evidence from this video that he's actually studying Japanese as he is clearly just reading it. In saying that, he is not mangling the pronunciation too badly and that's a win for sure. As a somewhat fluent speaker, Japanese is relatively easy to pick up but very very very hard to master.

I still play my ps3 semi-regularly. I have an embarrassingly large backlog going back to launch and including a number of digital ps1 and ps2 classics. I think it's a great console but I'm sad that I have to use the slim and my phat sits in a box following it's untimely death. Would like to fix it one day but not sure if there's a point.

@Rudy_Manchego yup, know exactly how you feel. And it keeps growing. I try to be disciplined and not buy anything new but the sales are too good and too frequent. If only real life wasn't so time consuming!

@Spoonman-2 actually, I'm being an idiot. All the boxes carry barcodes and the barcodes could be linked to serial numbers. I don't know if they are but that would seem the most logical solution.

@Spoonman-2 I'm trying to think how that would work. In the case of your phone, it's easy because you've already activated it. But in the case of things like PS5, I don't think they display the serial number on the outside of the box (for obvious reasons) so it would have it difficult to know which exact until was stolen beyond it being one of the hundreds/thousands alloted to a specific store.

@EllZ89 the other difference with scalping is that sony control very little of the b2c channel (this might vary country to country) so it's tough for them to control retail whereas obviously it's much easier for them to directly influence their own digital distribution.

Have just started playing through this now and it's wonderful. My daughter is watching as I play and she's having a great time, too (and have just realised we can play it two player though I'm sure she'll drown me on purpose a few times).

@get2sammyb well, I live here and I couldn't find one at launch despite trying my darndest to preorder. I can buy one using Mercari but they cost at least double and the vast majority of these are sold out despite the premium (and there are thousands of listings!). I'm content to wait until new stock becomes available but I don't think things here are as dire as you suggest.

@graysoncharles that's so odd. I have the exact opposite problem. My PS4 Pro is super reliable and quick on downloads whereas my Xbox One X is slow and drops it's connection on occasion. They sit within a metre of each other so I don't understand why.

Wow, the only time people comment on NBA2K is when the article is about MTX or something else negative. The review itself only got a handful of comments but that's the way things go around here.

@nessisonett check out the switcher function as detailed in PlayStation Access' latest video. Not quite quick resume but seems a useful feature for multi-gamer households and could be expanded in the future perhaps.

For not one second have I understood the undeserved panic surrounding the ps5 launch. Since when did it become the norm to reveal every aspect of the product prior to launch? Especially now when a firmware update can introduce (or render obsolete) features.

Personally I want a bit of mystery when I buy a new console. It's fun to explore and discover things for yourself rather than everything explained.
