Stellar Blade was my personal GotY, so I am glad my best friend will be able yo enjoy the game on Steam. The additions are great but I hope the team is already working on a sequel or a similar game.
I watched that Bungie stream; out of synch sound, listening to people chewing and drinking in the background, one of the guys looking extremely pissed the whole time… it was really bad, and people are now mocking them even more before the obvious art plagiarism (4th time in Bungie recent history as far as I know).
Almost finished with D4 S8 (two armor unlock missing), and either will continue with Monster Hunter Wilds or I will start Cyberpunk 2077 (which I bought yesterday).
@themightyant The House in Fata Morgana is 100% VN, besides reading and taking decisions (very small amount, if I remember less than 10?) there is nothing else (no combo VN - other genre). But the story is great, fantastic music and good visuals. No voice over besides laughs or screams depending on the script. If you dont mind a 100% visual novel then for sure go for it, one of the best VN I've ever played.
I am not an indie fan, but if you folks like VN then House in Fata Morgana is a must, I played it on switch unlocking everything, and the story was great, visuals were amazing and even the music was perfect.
Havent played any GTA since GTA2 (which I played on release) but heard lots of good things about GTA4. Would be interested in an enhanced port on modern consoles/PC for sure.
I might be the extreme minority, but I would love a Fallout 1 and Fallout remaster, with the original turn-based combat. Who knows, with the good performance of Expedition 33 maybe publishers will want to go back to turn-based combat (solo or party style)
I have AoE2 DE on steam with most of the DLCs but for sure are not aiming for the achievements, they are just too many. On a side note: how does an RTS play on a gamepad? as somebody who was raised on RTS on PC I cannot imagine using a gamepad to micro/macro manage during a mission, even worse on a PvP match.
@Godot25 I meant I am glad I got it already, since the consoles prices hikes might lead to PC components prices hikes as well. And yes, high end PCs are quite expensive, but seeing how expensive are getting consoles then the difference is getting narrower.
Seeing these price hikes I am so glad I invested into my new PC rig. Will get the Switch 2 this summer, but it passed from a day-one but to a later day buy. No reason for me to get a pro, but I am just wondering what will the prices be of the rumored new Xbox (to be released next year) or the eventually PS6 (or even the rumored portable PS)...
If SE releases a FF game with old-school turn-based combat with ATB and a good combat system, it will be a day-one purchase for me. I was raised by these games and would love to see a comeback. If they decide to include "real-time" activities like dodge/parry then do it, it seems it works nice in Clair.
started playing since it was a PS Plus game and was looking forward it, but this looks more like a mouse and keyboard game to me. I am tempting on getting this on Steam, would be better for my habit I would say. But looking forward the expansion, the time I played the game was fun.
@ShogunRok to be honest I would prefer a proper Berserk anime than a game. The 90’s animation without blood and a bit toned down was okay and the disaster cgi anime from a few years ago was terrible. Would love a 1:1 manga:anime berserk with the animation of the Golden age movies.
yeah I was disappointed when I read the blog about that. While I love Berserk and the armors look perfect, I am not paying 2000+ platinum (which armor normally costs) for one set. Will try to unlock the "free" ones at least.
I am a huge mecha anime fan, one of the first I’ve ever watched was Macross in the late 80’s. Got recently Super Robot Wars 30 on Steam, will pick this one but a bit later.
The trailer looked great, cannot wait to play it on my new rig. I loved both the reboots and even liked the “higher” difficulty of Eternal, although they could cut the platforming.
@Shepherd_Tallon unfortunately, I believe if they release Berserk inspired armour, it might be on the shop (paying platinum). Crossing fingers for some free unlockable stuff
I am still playing every season of D4, and as a huge Berserk fan (got all mangas, watched both anime versions), I am more than curious about what this cooperation will be about.
this will be great if true. would love to have a portable device running games directly instead of streaming. of course lower resolution is okay due to a smaller screen. the only thing I am afraid is, since the reveal of the Switch 2 price, that this possible new PS portable could be way too expensive. Lets see if true and then we might talk.
never played an extraction shooter and from the gameplay videos of some of the most popular, it doesnt seem like my type of game. wish this game success, since it might bring the money Sony needs for more SP games, although many people comparing the chara design to Concord is not the best.
I dropped The Outer World approx 2/3 into the story, I just got bored, I had the impression that after the first third, everything else was more of the same (not in a good way). Lets see how the sequel plays.
I might be one of the last still playing D4 but to be honest I still enjoy engaging in their seasons. Doesnt take too much to complete the Journey and I kinda like the gameplay (also I can play it while watching something on the TV). The first expansion was a bit of disappointment, short and personally didnt like the new class (reminded me too much of the Monk of D3). Waiting for the second expansion until 2026... Blizz might loose most of their playerbase by then.
i was ready to preorder the switch 2 but there is no reason after this direct, if I got it correctly:
469€ base price, increase from 329€, that is a 42,5% price increase if the math is correct.
only one Nintendo 1st party game on release, Mario Kart, physical game price 90€ (from what I read, no confirmation yet), which is a 50% price increase
lots of multiplatform games that, unless you are a nintendo only gamer, most people already have or have on a "better" system I will get the Switch 2 but earliest on Christmas, so far only three games are interesting for me.
@KawakiisaFraud to be honest Nintendo fans do not expect PS5 level specs, I consider myself a Nintendo "fanboy" (I still have my original SNES from the early 90s) but I expect just better Nintendo games (for multiplatform I have PS5 and a newly upgraded PC). On another note, while it is understandable that there will not be an OLED version on release (if I remember correctly the OLED switch was released more than three years after the OG), it is a bit of a shame, have both and love the OLED screen.
In regards the specs, there were "leaks" that the Switch 2 will have some version of nVidia DLSS, the leaks telling us that Nintendo showcased Breath of the Wild on upscaled 4k at 60fps on the Switch 2. In this regard I am very curious about that. Personally I would love to finally have trophies/achievements support, that is a thing I find stopping myself from 100% games on Switch. On a last note, another leak states that pre-orders will go live right after the direct and my wallet is already ready for that (expecting a price upto 500€).
after a long time I am happy, I was asking folks here about Robocop and almost bought it, so glad for that. And while I am not a totally digimon fan, I heard good thinks about this jrpg. finally a good month for me.
dont really think this is a system seller, but it looks promising for the future of the Pro. I was looking forward it but the price put me aside (the money went for upgrading my PC), but glad to hear Sony is working with third parties on getting the most of the Pro.
@B0udoir from what I read I thought that the issue with Dragons Dogma 2 was mostly processor, and that MHW had a similar issue. My PC is a Ryzen 9800X3D and a RTX5080 (which will arrive in a week), so I was deciding in between PS5 and steam. will look a bit more into performance, I enjoy more playing these type of games on the couch but if the performance is way better on PC i think I will go Steam with this one.
a bit of offtopic: people who are playing MHW on base PS5, is the performance still average as on release? if I remember correctly performance mode tended to not achieve locked 60fps and even when it reached, the graphics were not that good? I am thinking of getting the game in a month or less but not sure if Steam or PS5 so any feedback would be appreciated.
Did i read it correctly? A non-binary character in feudal Japan? That sounds… interesting. I am curious about the sales of this game, I have all AC games upto Valhalla (buying Mirage soon), but I am not the target audience of this one so I will pass. But I would like more AC games (i may be on the minority that actually likes Ubisoft open world games) so lets see if this one sales well.
love playing on handhelds (have multiple nintendo and sony consoles) and would love to have a Sony handheld, but without the "stream only". Maybe if the rumored Xbox handheld comes out later this year and is it successful (to a certain degree), Sony gets motivated to release a proper handheld of their own (a steam deck-like, able to download and play your PS4 and PS5 library at a reduced resolution, would be perfect).
@heavyartillery56 i honestly doubt, from what I talked with a friend who is a bigger fan than me (has a custodes and salamanders armies) the missing primarchs and their legions might stay as that forever. There are a lot of hints about the primarchs in many books but nothing concrete. Live reading fan theories about those.
Just got Space Marine 1, want to finish it first, but being a huge fan of W40K lore (read all HH novels) I am happy this series is getting more game(s).
never played advance wars or a clone of those games, looked interesting enough for me to get the switch remaster for both advance wars games just to drop it in the last mission of the first game. it got too "samey" for me. that lead to drop wargroove from my wishlist.
Folks hope you continue with this format, some good picks that weren't yet in my wishlist. Looking forward to find these type of articles for most (if not all) sales
anybody that played both college football 25 and madden 25 that could recommend which to pick (if you can only choose one)? I am into American football, follow games from time to time, and got Madden 22 but didnt play yet. Not yet into US college football, but know some of the teams and that the stadiums and fans are great.
I ejnoyed Far Cry primal, 5 and its sequel. I might be one of the few who actually like ubisoft-style open worlds. But all was SP, not really interested into MP-only farcry.
never played these games (was a WoW player for too much time), but these are the type of games I know I will enjoy. Love the possibility of recruiting plenty of heroes, that is an added bonus; however, too many games right now so I will wait for a discount.
Edit: does it have two platinums or one? any estimations for how long till platinum?
I still have the impression this gen has not even properly started yet, with all cross-gen games. Actual gen only games are not that many and those are mostly poorly optimized on start. If the next gen comes earlier, then game developers will be even more lazy on optimizing games... lets see how it goes.
I appreciate these type of articles, I buy 95% of my games on sale and it is good to know of games out of my wishlist. Btw: anybody that played Robocop, how is the control on gamepad? From the gameplay looks more like a keyboard and mouse game (at least for aiming).
it seems the performance on console is similar to Dragons Dogma 2, which is still not great after a longer time. I guess I will get it on Steam in spring, when I plan to upgrade my rig.
