Re: Second Diablo 4 Expansion on Track for 2026 as Blizzard Reveals Roadmap

dardel

I might be one of the last still playing D4 but to be honest I still enjoy engaging in their seasons. Doesnt take too much to complete the Journey and I kinda like the gameplay (also I can play it while watching something on the TV).
The first expansion was a bit of disappointment, short and personally didnt like the new class (reminded me too much of the Monk of D3). Waiting for the second expansion until 2026... Blizz might loose most of their playerbase by then.

Re: Reaction: Switch 2 Looks Solid But the Many PS5, PS4 Ports Won't Spook Sony Yet

dardel

i was ready to preorder the switch 2 but there is no reason after this direct, if I got it correctly:

  • 469€ base price, increase from 329€, that is a 42,5% price increase if the math is correct.
  • only one Nintendo 1st party game on release, Mario Kart, physical game price 90€ (from what I read, no confirmation yet), which is a 50% price increase
  • lots of multiplatform games that, unless you are a nintendo only gamer, most people already have or have on a "better" system
I will get the Switch 2 but earliest on Christmas, so far only three games are interesting for me.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch 2 Direct - 5 Things for PS5 Fans to Pay Attention To

dardel

@KawakiisaFraud to be honest Nintendo fans do not expect PS5 level specs, I consider myself a Nintendo "fanboy" (I still have my original SNES from the early 90s) but I expect just better Nintendo games (for multiplatform I have PS5 and a newly upgraded PC).
On another note, while it is understandable that there will not be an OLED version on release (if I remember correctly the OLED switch was released more than three years after the OG), it is a bit of a shame, have both and love the OLED screen.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch 2 Direct - 5 Things for PS5 Fans to Pay Attention To

In regards the specs, there were "leaks" that the Switch 2 will have some version of nVidia DLSS, the leaks telling us that Nintendo showcased Breath of the Wild on upscaled 4k at 60fps on the Switch 2. In this regard I am very curious about that.
Personally I would love to finally have trophies/achievements support, that is a thing I find stopping myself from 100% games on Switch.
On a last note, another leak states that pre-orders will go live right after the direct and my wallet is already ready for that (expecting a price upto 500€).

Re: Monster Hunter Wilds' Campaign Has an Impressive 73% Completion Rate on PS5

dardel

@B0udoir from what I read I thought that the issue with Dragons Dogma 2 was mostly processor, and that MHW had a similar issue. My PC is a Ryzen 9800X3D and a RTX5080 (which will arrive in a week), so I was deciding in between PS5 and steam. will look a bit more into performance, I enjoy more playing these type of games on the couch but if the performance is way better on PC i think I will go Steam with this one.

Re: Monster Hunter Wilds' Campaign Has an Impressive 73% Completion Rate on PS5

dardel

a bit of offtopic: people who are playing MHW on base PS5, is the performance still average as on release? if I remember correctly performance mode tended to not achieve locked 60fps and even when it reached, the graphics were not that good? I am thinking of getting the game in a month or less but not sure if Steam or PS5 so any feedback would be appreciated.

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Romance Misinformation Hits New Low on Social Media

dardel

Did i read it correctly? A non-binary character in feudal Japan? That sounds… interesting. I am curious about the sales of this game, I have all AC games upto Valhalla (buying Mirage soon), but I am not the target audience of this one so I will pass. But I would like more AC games (i may be on the minority that actually likes Ubisoft open world games) so lets see if this one sales well.

Re: Sony Confirms PS Portal's Status as 'DadStation' in Accurate Ad

dardel

love playing on handhelds (have multiple nintendo and sony consoles) and would love to have a Sony handheld, but without the "stream only". Maybe if the rumored Xbox handheld comes out later this year and is it successful (to a certain degree), Sony gets motivated to release a proper handheld of their own (a steam deck-like, able to download and play your PS4 and PS5 library at a reduced resolution, would be perfect).

Re: 4 Massive PS5, PS4 Games Are At Their Lowest Prices Ever on PS Store

dardel

anybody that played both college football 25 and madden 25 that could recommend which to pick (if you can only choose one)? I am into American football, follow games from time to time, and got Madden 22 but didnt play yet. Not yet into US college football, but know some of the teams and that the stadiums and fans are great.

Re: Could the Next Xbox Get a Head Start on PS6?

dardel

I still have the impression this gen has not even properly started yet, with all cross-gen games. Actual gen only games are not that many and those are mostly poorly optimized on start. If the next gen comes earlier, then game developers will be even more lazy on optimizing games... lets see how it goes.

Re: Mini Review: Warriors: Abyss (PS5) - A Decent Descent into Hell for Roguelike and Warriors Fans

dardel

@Slideaway1983 thank you, mate, that was a good description. and 50 hours looks like a fine time for a platinum.
@Odium it could be that it is just not the genre for you after all, however, it could be that musou games with a bit more of a "story" could be better for you? hard to tell, I played a lot of them, specially I enjoyed the latest samurai warriors, both hyrule warriors, the last fire emblem warriors (just got the first which I will play soon) and (as a one piece fan) Pirate warriors 3 and 4. I would say that hyrule warriors age of calamity had a great story, but maybe you might need to be familiar with Breath of the Wild before playing that one.

Re: Mini Review: Warriors: Abyss (PS5) - A Decent Descent into Hell for Roguelike and Warriors Fans

dardel

@Odium warrior games are not for everybody, i would even say that they are for a very small audience of gamers. but I do believe that those who like this šgenre (like myself) play most if not all of the games.
regarding this game, I went through a lot of Steam reviews and I will wait for a discount. Still undecided in what platform should I pick it. Any info on how long to platinum?

Re: Poll: Will the Switch 2 Compete with PS5?

dardel

Both will coexists and many people will buy both ( I have a switch and a ps4 and ps5 and will get a switch2). They will compete on gamers time and imho in casual players attention.
As for comparing graphics… comparing a switch and ps graphics performance is like comparing a ps and gaming pc performance: both comparisons are irrelevant.

Re: Dynasty Warriors: Origins Is the Highest Rated Dynasty Warriors Game Ever

dardel

I think I will never expect musou games to be “critically acclaimed”, since I believe they are “too niche” for most people. I would say most musou fans will add +1/+2 to most reviews and will be happy with that. You either love musou games (minority of gamers) or you find the gameplay boring (mostly due to repetition)

Re: Sony Subsidiary Crunchyroll to Release Manga App This Year

dardel

@Shepherd_Tallon i will definetily recommend to buy a paper version of Berserk. The art is too good to read only digital (as many other mangas).
I might be interested but it will totally depend on the content. Start with all Shonen Jump old and ongoing and add classics, lets see how it goes.

Re: Sony Is Betting Big on the Global Growth of Anime

dardel

Ive been watching anime since i was a kid (end of the 80s), and seeing the results of anime/manga against the western counterparts (eg demon slayer outselling us comic books in a specific year) tells why Sony is pushing for that.
As mentioned before I am also hoping that Crunchyroll will become part of PS+ some day.
