One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is over five years old at this point, but when it comes to Bandai Namco’s anime success stories, it rarely drops support.
Earlier this year, the publisher confirmed that it will be extending the musou sequel’s lifespan like Luffy’s limbs, with a PS5 port and a new Season Pass planned.
That DLC is expected to be announced this weekend, on 10th August, as part of One Piece Day. And in anticipation, a new update for the PS4 game has been deployed.
The patch notes mention “support for add-ons”, but industrious sailors have tried datamining the code, and haven’t happened upon treasure yet.
We suspect the new content and PS5 version won’t be far away, though. We’ll obviously update over the weekend once the official details drop.
