One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4's Free PS5 Upgrade Docks 21st November, Over 5 Years After PS4 Release 1

It’s been over five years since One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 first set sail on PS4, so it’s extraordinary to see new DLC and a native PS5 release revealed for 21st November.

We already knew this was coming, of course, as Bandai Namco announced its plans earlier in the year. But now we have a release date and the full contents of Character Pass 3.

The lineup is as follows:

Future Island Egghead Pack (21st November)

  • Jewelry Bonney
  • Rob Lucci
  • S-Snake

Special Selection Pack (Early 2026)

  • Eneru
  • King
  • Z

Character Pass 3 will cost £24.99/$29.99, which stuck in the craw of some fans when it was revealed earlier in the year. Previous Character Passes for the game cost the same amount of money but included nine characters total.

If you don’t already own the game, a new Legendary Edition will be available featuring all three Character Passes and the Additional Episodes pack.

However, if you purchased the game on the PS4, then you’ll be able to upgrade to the superior PS5 version free of charge.

The new-gen re-release will include various improvements over the original, including more detailed graphics, smoother frame rates, and more troops on screen.

Personally, we never finished this on the PS4, so we’re looking forward to revisiting it in all its new-gen glory.
