@TheGrizMan they're nowhere near the quality of some of the Sony exclusives. For me at least, that justifies the extra cost.

If you're in that group complaining about the game being released on PS4 alongside PS5, do your research before popping off. The game was originally and primarily developed for and on PS4. Then upgraded I'd assume in preparation for the PS5 release too.

Also gamepass aside, games are just as expensive on XB.

I'd rather pay a fair price (see my last comment) for a top quality game than £130 for a bunch of games that don't come close.

I've searched bargain sites for games since the 360/PS3 era. I rarely ever pay full price for games. During the PS4 era, the only games I paid over £40 for were special editions of HZD, UC4 and TLOU2. Any decent third party titles (cod, bf, rdr2 etc) were all bought for under £40.

I just get this really lazy impression of these people complaining about the $70 price tag. Instead of shopping around they'd rather moan about it in a comment section for upvotes. It doesn't help that to get around the prices, so many folk share accounts with friends and justify Sony using that price point. They don't realise people are paying £35, they just see sales of games at $/£70.

I get the appeal of gamepass. I've used it a few times myself. Most recently to play The Ascent and Hades. But the appeal of it for most come from the £1 deals. They're getting more and more rare. So now you have to pay £10.99 a month (£131 per year) for a bunch of games that probably aren't worth a lot of your time. As opposed to this $/£70 price tag for a top quality AAA game that you KNOW will more than likely be enjoyable. For the time being at least, you're not going to get a game anywhere close to the quality of the majority of PlayStation's exclusives. That's near fact and of course down to personal taste and opinion still.

Gamepass is great but it's NOT the future of gaming.

@Spiders Microsoft model isn't sustainable unless they pump millions into it. They're doing themselves no favours letting people in for £1.

I'd only be tempted if they included ps now and EA play like gamepass.

Already have signed up. I'm eager to see the dash get a rework. I'm hoping that's part of it. We need some form of an activities page back again and a profile page rework. Little on most people's list probably but a biggy for me. I enjoyed getting to show off the trophies I'd earned.

I've never been the biggest Bethesda fan to be honest. I've played a little bit of dishonoured, the doom remake and Wolfenstein. Starfield was never really on my list of must haves, I was just curious as to what it was all about. Seems a little no man sky-ish judging by the latest trailer. There was one shot in particular where I'm sure I was watching a Returnal trailer. Anyone else spot it?

Still having a blast playing away on my ps5. No crashes at all yet. Definitely sticking with the game. I'd rather not be entitled like the rest of the sheep.

Very VERY bitter review to be honest. everyone and their maw knew it was too ambitious for PS4 and XB1 consoles. It runs fine on PS5. I've played for near 4hrs and no crashes at all. Stop it with the clickbait reviews. You've went right downhill lately.

absolute no-brainer. it's the best controller they've ever made. be interesting to see where they take it in the future

@thefourfoldroot I just tapped the Ps button and the activities popped up. They show a % and if you click through it has them listed. Click on each and a video will be there to watch, giving you an idea of what to do/where to go.

the trophy tip videos are a fantastic add! just used a few of them for puzzle pieces and artifacts in astro bot.

@RevDrGalactus FW is out in just over a year 😂 highly doubt there'll be any significant change to the console by then.

honestly...it didn't blow me away as much as I was thinking it would. The controller is great, like amazing but there's issues I'm finding with the ui.

1 - I miss the what's new page that shows friends trophies and our own trophies etc. Unless it's there and I just can't find it.

2 - The store could do with a little organising.

3 - I take it themes aren't going to be a thing this gen?

4 - Profiles could've been a little better, more features etc. Still look pretty plain. There's not even a music section like ps4 had.

Maybe minor issues but yeah, just my initial thoughts.

I'm planning to finish God of war, TLOU2 and borderlands 3 in ps5. I'll eventually look into Ghost of Tsushima too.

watch dogs looks trash tbh. watched jackfrags play it and it didn't look impressive or any different from the OG and 2.

I've had the ps4 version preordered for over a year now. May cancel it.

massive improvement for sure. trophies would often pop up on loading screens for me so this is cool.

Horizon Zero Dawn is no.1.
Rocket League (put soooo many hours into it)
Apex Legends (Rarely a day goes by where I don't put it on)

and probably Spiderman to top it all off.

I never finished God of war or TLOU2 and never started GoT so plenty to play when I get my ps5.

I hope we get some decent dynamic themes that aren't hidden behind preorders etc. Maybe it's just me but there seemed to be a lack of themes AND avatars this gen.

I usually check out both the fifa and pes demos so it's gonna be odd this year for sure. This is maybe in retaliation to how Madden was received by the masses this year.

bar spiderman, I wasn't feeling many of the games on show. I was also disappointed with the ps plus collection too. I honestly thought they were going to throw in ps now alongside plus but alas nope. just a bunch of games I've already more or less completed.

they've made some improvements to the attacking gameplay (build-up and passing) as far as I'm aware. review didn't seem to mention that.
