The Last of Us Day 2021

The Last of Us Day, Naughty Dog's annual celebration of its post-apocalyptic property, is happening this weekend, on Sunday the 26th September — and you know what that means. Is it finally time for the series' highly anticipated multiplayer project to be revealed? Well, while we would advise against getting your hopes up — we've all been burned before — Naughty Dog does say that it has "all-new content" to show on the big day.

In a fresh PlayStation Blog post — which mostly details some new PlayStation Gear Store merchandise — the developer writes: "we will be revealing some all-new content on September 26 at 9:00am PT/ 6:00pm CET. Be sure to come back and check it out on TheLastofUs.com/TLOUDay." At the time of writing this article, that link doesn't actually lead anywhere.

So what could this "all-new content" actually be? Well, with the way that it's worded, it could honestly be anything. A first real look at the upcoming The Last of Us HBO TV show? A new in-universe comic book series? The Last of Us: Part II Factions multiplayer? Hmmmm.

Whatever it ends up being, we'll be covering the announcement here on Push Square. Until then, feel free to make some outlandish predictions in the comments section below.
