Mostly agree with the basic sentiment, but this site's really been fuelling the flames of the console wars lately. With this, the multiple articles on the PC ports speculation, and the Xbox Project Helix, it's getting really bad.
Also, I don't think "random people are angry on Twitter" is newsworthy. The reasoning for the anger may or may not be newsworthy.
I'm getting a bit burnt out on the Yakuza formula lately, with all the yearly releases. As as for Atlus games, I'm happy to wait for the "Royal" version that they usually do (I'm surprised Metaphor Re Fantasio hasn't had one yet).
I like the option of being able to play on PC if I choose to, but it did meant there was less incentive to buy a PS5. Obviously, Sony crunched the numbers on whether it made business sense or not for them.
Fixing bugs is one thing, but the lack of the original iconic soundtrack is still a deal breaker for me. I doubt they're changing it (they presumably had a reason for doing this), but I'm holding off on buying this until if that ever gets resolved.
Seems that my excitement was a bit premature. Now it's out, it appears that they've changed the original music, and it's getting plenty of negative reviews on Steam.
That's a real shame. A Definitive collection should have fixed the OST issues that some older versions had. Instead, it seems to have gotten much worse.
The game went from an easy buy to an avoid for me.
I played this about a year or two back, so I'm good. Having played it recently is also one of the reasons why I'm not eager to play 3 Kiwami. However, delisting it is ridiculous. Delisting it is losing a bit of goodwill from me.
The comments seem weirdly negative here. Sure, the hype's worn off slightly with the delays, but once it gets closer to release and their marketing machine is in full swing, I expect there'll be a huge buzz for this game.
Sounds terrible. Buttons have some big advantages, mainly the tactile feedback and being able to feel where each button is. Touchscreen gaming is a thing (mobile), but that works because the user is already looking at the screen. I don't want to be looking down at the controller when playing on my TV. Outside of some niche uses, I can't see a reason to get this.
Of course, it's just a patent, so it's likely nothing will come of this.
Reviews aren't perfect, but this dumb suggestion would just lead to a whole heap of new problems. Instead, it's better to leave it to an individual level. For instance, there's reviewers that I find questionable that I completely avoid.
It doesn't seem like a perfect time. A more perfecter time would have been the last time it was on sale (Black Friday?). Or at this point, waiting for a PS6 is a viable option for those that haven't yet got a PS5.
Though, having said that, my PS4 is showing signs of it's age. Likewise, my PC is getting old now too (very bad time for upgrading PC parts with the current prices). Probably should upgrade one of those at some point.
A basic remaster would be brilliant. Add in features like difficulty options (I wouldn't tone down the difficulty, but I'll admit some people might might struggle with this game), fix the music (some versions didn't have the per-level tracks), and add the extra Rayman Designer bonus campaign, then it would be a great remaster.
There's a few on there I'm quite excited for, with GTA 6, 007, and Lego Batman being the biggest ones. There's probably a few more that I could become interested in as they get closer to their release date.
Missing from the list, but I hope Danganronpa 2x2 lives up to the standards of the previous games.
It surely must be about time for a new Ace Attorney. Plus, aside from Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright, they're running out of Ace Attorney games to port.
Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac. I've been trying to 100% it, and I've just got the Sonic collab boss left to speedrun on it. Also playing some Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Dual Destinies and Like a Dragon Ishin.
PCSX2 has come a long way. Last time I looked into it, Stuntman was a notoriously difficult problem, with some levels being impossible due to emulation bugs. Now, according to someone on the wiki, it can be cleared 100%.
Yeah, I usually do some horror stuff around Halloween, or at the very least something spooky themed. This year, I've been playing The Quarry and Luigi's Mansion, and watched a couple of slasher movies.
I'm in the mood for something spooky, so I was planning on starting The Quarry. I've also been playing some Like a Dragon: Ishin along with Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac. And if there's time, maybe a bit of Hitman: World of Assassination and Kirby's Adventure.
I'd forgotten this was coming out. If the final release is actually good then I'd be interested. But I'll definitely wait and see on the sidelines, and not preorder.
LOTR sure feels like a franchise where it should be possible to produce more brilliant games than what they've been doing recently. The Jackson movie games were fine, but I really liked the turn-based game The Third Age back in the PS2 era. That was a weird storyline, basically just a knock-off fellowship following behind the true fellowship, but the game was good fun.
I've got a lot of nostalgia for the original World 2, and so I'm rather enjoying this remake so far. Still early on in it, so can't properly judge it yet.
Hopefully they remake World 3 at some point. I've never played that one, but would sure like to.
I'm far too used to the JP voices, the dubs just sound weird to me. The original story had a lot of pacing issues, so hopefully they can refine it here. But I'll probably skip this entry for now. I only played the remastered 3 fairly recently, so there's other Yakuza games I'd prefer to play first.
I had a lot of fun with this originally, and I'm not normally one for multiplayer games. I was starting to lose interest by the time Epic bought it, and them changing it to require an Epic account was the point I decided I've had enough of it.
It was fun, but it feels like it's run it's course now.
That announcement came out of nowhere. I'm a bit cautious of them touching the story after all this time, but hopefully the new extra scenario will be up to the standards of the original.
Looks good. My one complaint is that this Bond seems a bit less suave than normal, coming across as more smug here. But overall, I'm liking what I'm seeing here.
The developers have clearly borrowed a lot from their Hitman games, but I'm glad to see the vehicle sections and gunfights in here. It wouldn't be a Bond game without them.
I've been fairly interested in getting this for a while now. The main thing that's made me hold off was the sheer volume of DLCs. That, and waiting to see if the UK gets an update. It's the oldest section of the game, so it doesn't look as great as some of the more recently updated regions.
It's a dumb authoritarian law that's easily circumvented with the likes of VPNs or the Tor browser. But it's funny to hear about the more creative ways people are getting around it.

Re: SEGA's PS5 Games Get Good Reviews, So Why Aren't You Buying Them?
I'm getting a bit burnt out on the Yakuza formula lately, with all the yearly releases. As as for Atlus games, I'm happy to wait for the "Royal" version that they usually do (I'm surprised Metaphor Re Fantasio hasn't had one yet).
Re: Opinion: God of War: Sons of Sparta Is the Smaller PS5 Game Fans Want, and I Hope We See More
More smaller games would be good. I do play games outside of the large AAA games, though God of War: Sons of Spartan doesn't really appeal to me.
Re: Sony Returns to PlayStation Exclusivity and Stops Single Player PC Ports, New Report Says
I like the option of being able to play on PC if I choose to, but it did meant there was less incentive to buy a PS5. Obviously, Sony crunched the numbers on whether it made business sense or not for them.
Re: Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition Is Missing the Original Soundtrack, and Fans Aren't Happy
It's a weird thing to do. The original music is iconic to those that have played it before, and it must have taken some work to make the new tracks.
That's my biggest gripe with this collection, and my main reason for skipping it.
Re: Rayman's PS5 Bundle Has Some Bugs, But They Should Get Squashed Soon
Fixing bugs is one thing, but the lack of the original iconic soundtrack is still a deal breaker for me. I doubt they're changing it (they presumably had a reason for doing this), but I'm holding off on buying this until if that ever gets resolved.
Re: PlayStation Fans Delighted with New State of Play, Already the Most Popular One Ever
It was very good. John Wick, Metal Gear, and Castlevania were the most interesting announcements for me.
I was excited for Rayman as well, but it seems that they've unfortunately messed up the music for it.

Re: Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition Is Real, and It Launches Tomorrow on PS5
Wow. Seems to have everything I could have possibly asked for in a Definitive version.
Re: Poll: How Would You Rate State of Play for February 2026?
Pleasantly surprised. That was really good.
Re: PSA: This Is Your Last Chance to Grab Yakuza 3 Remastered Before Its Ridiculous Removal

Re: Mega State of Play Confirmed for Thursday, Over 60 Mins of PS5 Announcements and Updates
Wow, a big one. Hopefully they'll have 60 minutes worth of content for it.

Re: Yakuza Fan Concerns Come to a Head Over Dodgy Kiwami 3 Graphics
The original game looks a lot more natural. The remake's water being bright blue just looks cartoony. Plus, the remake's map looks so cluttered.

There's a few on there I'm quite excited for, with GTA 6, 007, and Lego Batman being the biggest ones. There's probably a few more that I could become interested in as they get closer to their release date.

Re: SEGA Classic Emergency Call Ambulance Comes to PS5, PS4 via Yakuza 3 Remake
That's a cool addition. As much as I love Out Run, it's nice to see something different here.
Re: Game of the Year: Best PS5 Remake or Remaster of 2025
It's not on the list, but I did rather enjoy Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 612
Recently started playing Rhythm Doctor. Catchy music, fun gameplay, I'm really enjoying it so far.
And also doing some Like a Dragon: Ishin. I've beaten the main story, so I'm going through the various substories.
Re: Praise Be! Cult of the Lamb's Massive Expansion Woolhaven Launches Very Soon on PS5, PS4
I had a lot of fun with the base game when it first came out. But it's been so long since then, and I've moved on.

Re: PlayStation Wrap-Up 2025 Live Now, Get Your Gaming Stats for the Year
My 5 most played PS games are:
1. Hitman: World of Assassination
2. Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time
3. Yakuza 5 Remastered
4. Like a Dragon: Ishin
5. The Quarry

It surely must be about time for a new Ace Attorney. Plus, aside from Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright, they're running out of Ace Attorney games to port.
Re: Good Work, 47: IO Interactive Confirms the Hitman Series Will Continue
As expected, though it'll probably be a while off as they're working on other projects.
Re: Five Years of PS5 - How Well Do You Know Sony's Console?
8/15, that's quite good for me.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Now at a Staggering 35 Million Sales as Work on Sequel Continues to Ramp Up
Oh wow. I figured it had sold well, but 35 million is such a surreal value.
Re: Are Shadow Drops the Future? Bethesda's Betting on Them After Oblivion Remastered Success
It might be a good strategy for some releases, but I'm not a fan. I enjoy the build-up and hype that comes with an upcoming game.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 608
Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac. I've been trying to 100% it, and I've just got the Sonic collab boss left to speedrun on it. Also playing some Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Dual Destinies and Like a Dragon Ishin.
Re: Physical Edition at Fault Again for the Second Terminator 2D Delay
It's a shame, but I'm not that bothered by the extra delay.
Re: Rumour: Crash Team Racing Could Be Making a Comeback, If This Strange Leak Is to Be Believed
I'd be up for a new one, though I'll wait for official confirmation before trusting this rumour.
Re: Open Source PS2 Emulator Now Plays Almost Entire Console's Library
PCSX2 has come a long way. Last time I looked into it, Stuntman was a notoriously difficult problem, with some levels being impossible due to emulation bugs. Now, according to someone on the wiki, it can be cleared 100%.

Re: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 (PS5) - A Disastrously Paced, Technical Mess of a Sequel
It's a shame, but not really surprising. Still, it's a reminder that I really ought to check out Bloodlines 1 at some point.

Hopefully they remake World 3 at some point. I've never played that one, but would sure like to.

Re: Yakuza Kiwami 3 Seemingly Leaked on Dev Website
I played 3 just a couple of years ago, so I might skip over a remake any time soon. Plenty of other Yakuza games for me to play first.
It has a lovely sunny location, but suffers from a weaker story and pacing issues.

Re: State of Play Confirmed for 3rd September, Deep Dive on 007 First Light
It's a bit odd to give a third-party game a dedicated state of play, though I'm excited to see more of 007 First Light.
Re: Scratch That Banjo-Kazooie Itch in PS5 Remake Yooka-Replaylee, Out in October
The game has its flaws, but I enjoyed my time with the original version. I'm in no rush to get the remake though.
