There’s several other “insiders” refuting the rumor and saying their sources inside Microsoft are saying they’re still committed to making a new console with the AMD partnership. That partnership was only announced three months ago.
Except Microsoft isn’t dominant. And they argued it would hurt completion? Hasn’t MS put more of their games on other platforms? Hasn’t almost every other gaming company also laid off people and raised prices? This is a bit of a disingenuous take trying to make the FTC sound good.
I think a lot of Microsoft’s greed has to do with wanting more money to invest in AI and less with gaming. But almost everything she’s saying could be said of almost every other gaming company today.
Played the first one for a few hours but it just never hooked me. And every time I go back to try, it’s the same story. So won’t be playing Yotei anytime soon…if ever.
@Intr1n5ic That’s literally what it says in the graphic for it. 75+ Day One games per year. They already do quite a few day one third party games and indies besides their own.
Not justifying the Ultimate price increase, but if you look at the middle tier, it is probably closest to PS Plus Premium at the same price. Can’t really compare Ultimate (with 75+ day one games and a $12 Fortnite sub) to PS Plus Premium.
I have it stacked for quite a while from good deals so don’t have to think about it for now. Committing to 75+ day one titles is pretty insane, of course a lot will probably be indies (not necessarily a bad thing).
For now I’ll enjoy all the new benefits for the less than $10 a month (some more like $7) I paid to stack years of GamePass Ultimate to begin with!
I had trouble getting into the first one but with improved combat, etc. I might give this a shot at some point. Do you need to have played the first one?
@Ricky-Spanish I’ve seen stories on other sites with indie devs praising GamePass and how it has given their games so much more exposure that they never could have gotten otherwise. Do they ever have those stories here? Of course not. Exactly like you said, they only report the negative.
Getting tired of the “let’s beat down GamePass some more” narrative on this site. This story is getting more traction here than any of the other gaming sites. It’s like let’s keep the console war narrative alive! Sigh…
@KillerIsD34D MGS Delta was my vote but very surprised the Rogue Prince of Persia isn’t a choice. I mean Super Adventure Cobra gets listed but not PoP?!?
Anyway, it would be my second choice this past month. Great game!
@Fiendish-Beaver @LiamCroft One thing they did add was that the game now adjusts difficulty based on how well you play. And I believe that applies to the main game as well so might be interesting to do a playthrough that way.
6 is about what I expected. Played the demo and like almost every review says the combat is good but everything else is mediocre at best. Maybe will play on PS Plus Extra one day.
@SeaDaVie I don’t know man. Basing sales numbers just off of the number of reviews a game got is pretty stupid IMO. I don’t know why anyone takes that firm seriously.
@get2sammyb Just one point of correction. Many stories came out after that original guestimate of FF 16’s sales to say that it was incorrect and the game actually did pretty well on Xbox.
I think the guy who said 22,000 even later admitted he was wrong on Twitter after being questioned about it with so many contradictory sources of information.
Sad that there still are no there are no other reviews of this out there. Sony really covering their ass by getting codes out late. No day one reviews to scare people off.
There’s been games like this on mobile where they move to Netflix or Apple Arcade takes all the IAPs out. But they usually end up sucking because they’re never rebalanced properly. Hopefully that isn’t the case here.
I’ll be playing it on my Series X since they gave codes out for those that owned the last remaster of it. Still looking forward to giving it a go and hope those playing it for the first time on PlayStation enjoy it!
@Kidfunkadelic83 A lot of things about MGS Delta are outdated as well and the remaster itself has well documented technical issues and got a 9 so, sure, that seems logical.
@EfYI First of all, these games can all be played offline. Second, MS delists games due to licensing but their servers continue to operate for many, many years. So I have no idea why you think if you buy 5, you’ll be forced to play 6 soon. Nope. I still play almost all of the games occasionally. Maybe know your stuff before speaking. I’ve been playing FH games since the very first one.
This game is fantastic and once again Push Square is at the low end of scores. It’s got an 81 on OpenCritic and deserves it. It’s a far more enjoyable game than the original bland walking simulator that is Death Stranding (which got an 83 on OC so not that far away).
Ironically, the game also has a 4.71 out of 5 on the PlayStation store so I guess PS gamers also have bad tastes. 87% positive out of over 6000 reviews on Steam as well.
Give the game a chance and it’s an experience like no other in gaming.
Certainly agree that Cruis ‘n Blast is a great game but Fast & Furious Crossroads is one of the worst games I’ve ever played so I have very little confidence in this game.
Honestly think I may go down to Essential when my renewal comes up. There’s been some good stuff on Essential and I just don’t think I play Extra / Premium games enough to pay the difference. Granted I have GamePass and if that ever went away I may reconsider. But Premium, especially, has been a huge letdown and waste of money.
I think “broken” is a bit much. I’ve hit a few bugs and some framerate drops but it’s still very much playable and I’m enjoying it. Definitely still an upgrade from the original, which is one of my favorite RPGs of all time (even above Skyrim).
And this would be the way to allow consoles to sell themselves on the hardware itself. What functionality, controllers and system perks can differentiate your console from others. It will be where do you actually like playing your games, which to me is a better ask of gamers. Give us the freedom to choose what ecosystem we like the best.
@TruestoryYep Being a bit disingenuous there by saying that about positive reviewers of the game. There were a good many positive reviews from professionals who liked more than the character’s butt. DualShockers and But Why Tho? (both respectable reviewers) have it a 9 for example.
75 average but plenty of reviews on both sides of the fence. But sure, let some random idiot on the Internet talking about butts form your opinion on the game.
Personally think if this game came out under any other publisher besides Sony, everyone would be calling it out for what it is: a very average open world game. But through those “exclusive” beer goggles, it’s amazing.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Silent Hill F?
Playing this and Cronos at the same time and have to say I’m loving Cronos a lot more.

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate State of Play for September 2025?
No new announcements from first party studios but Wolverine did look good.
Saros to me just looks like a Returnal reskin. Not a bad thing but I personally wanted something different.
Still pretty barren outlook overall for PS Studios.
Re: First PS Plus Essential Game for October 2025 Leaked
Already have it so not a win for me but fantastic game. Glad others will get to play it.
Re: Silent Hill F (PS5) - Brutal Survival Horror Walks a New Path
Wow. This is up to an 88 with 68 reviews on OpenCritic. Can’t wait to play this later this week!!!
Re: Konami Asks Which Metal Gear Solid Game You Want Remade Next
MGS4 just because there’s no other way to play it right now. And that’s sad.

Currently downloading it on Xbox via GamePass.

Re: Helldivers 2 Xbox Sales Estimates Predict a Helluva Start for Sony's Live Service
@get2sammyb Well, that Screen Rant article clearly says the 22,000 was incorrect. I’ll see if I can find others as I know I saw that in a few places.
Re: Helldivers 2 Xbox Sales Estimates Predict a Helluva Start for Sony's Live Service
@get2sammyb Look at the link I just posted. It was **#4 all formats** on Xbox that month from Mat Piscatella, who is VERY reputable.
https://bsky.app/profile/matpiscatella.bsky.social/post/3lun37pjzqn2k
Again, even the person who made the 22,000 guess admitted they were wrong. So that part of your article is also WRONG.
In any case I hope Helldivers 2 is doing well on Xbox.
Re: Helldivers 2 Xbox Sales Estimates Predict a Helluva Start for Sony's Live Service
@UltimateOtaku91 It actually debuted at #4 on Xbox sales charts for that month. That #11 was most played.
Here from a more reputable source:

Sounds like a 5-6 game and I’ll wait for it to hit the bargain bin.

Re: Rumour: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Publisher Plans to Back Down from Crap DLC Decision
Probably will tie them to some criteria that needs to be met to unlock them in-game but you can get them early with the DLC or Premium version.
Re: Sword of the Sea (PS5) - Stunning Journey-Like Is a PS Plus Extra Hall of Famer
Just finished this and absolutely loved it. Only thing is that it kind of ended abruptly.
I would be interested to see the dev try their hands at something less similar to Journey at some point. They certainly have talent!
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Gears of War: Reloaded on PS5?

Re: Gears of War: Reloaded (PS5) - Iconic Xbox Shooter Is the Perfect Intro for PlayStation Fans
@Markatron84 Yep. 100%
Re: Gears of War: Reloaded (PS5) - Iconic Xbox Shooter Is the Perfect Intro for PlayStation Fans
@Kidfunkadelic83 Graphics aren’t everything and everyone has an opinion. I just think a 7 is way too low. So as I said before I’ll agree to disagree
Re: Gears of War: Reloaded (PS5) - Iconic Xbox Shooter Is the Perfect Intro for PlayStation Fans
@SeaDaVie I’m talking about when Gears of War came out in 2006. 94 on Xbox 360. 87 on PC.
Re: Gears of War: Reloaded (PS5) - Iconic Xbox Shooter Is the Perfect Intro for PlayStation Fans
@LiamCroft I mean many may think so but technically speaking MGS 3 has a 91 on MetaCritic while GoW has a 94.
Honestly an 8 may even be fair but a 7? Sorry, I’ll just agree to disagree.
Re: Gears of War: Reloaded (PS5) - Iconic Xbox Shooter Is the Perfect Intro for PlayStation Fans
@Kidfunkadelic83 A lot of things about MGS Delta are outdated as well and the remaster itself has well documented technical issues and got a 9 so, sure, that seems logical.
Re: Gears of War: Reloaded (PS5) - Iconic Xbox Shooter Is the Perfect Intro for PlayStation Fans
@get2sammyb It’s a fantastic game regardless. And getting much better reviews elsewhere.
The same reviewer gave MGS Delta, an even older game with significant technical issues for the remaster, a 9!
Yeah, there’s a reason why I can’t rely on just reviews here.
Re: Gears of War: Reloaded (PS5) - Iconic Xbox Shooter Is the Perfect Intro for PlayStation Fans
So the original version of this game has a 94% on MetaCritic. But sure, on PlayStation now with better frame rates, lighting, etc., it’s clearly a 7.
