Alan Wake 2. Not only the best looking but most creative and all-around GoTY for me with quite a distance between it and second place.

Played two of the three on GamePass and actually bought Evil West (which is okay but not great). But the other two are well worth checking out!

Alan Wake 2 blew me away too. Such an amazing game. Not only my GoTY but one of my favorite games of all time.

Played it on GamePass at launch but don’t miss Tinykin. It’s a fantastic Pikmin type game.

Not much for me this month. Win some and lose some I guess.

Guess it’s still too early for a Star Ocean Second Story R sale.

To me it has to be about the brand. Sony put out one game this year and there’s little known about what’s coming. People are likely buying the system to play their favorite multiplatform games like CoD on a system they know. Because Sony frankly didn’t have a great year. Just one first party title and nothing announced for 2024.

I’m honestly shocked because as a PlayStation owner myself I haven’t felt good about where PS is going for a while. Focus on GaaS and next to zero communication about first party. I literally have nothing to be excited for.

So this means Microsoft doesn’t have the same policy? If so, then it really is something Sony should consider dropping.

@CielloArc They were so ashamed of Hi-Fi Rush that they stealth dropped it?!? Sure, that’s why it’s one of the most highly rated games of the year. It has an 89 on OpenCritic.

Just because almost every comment is ragging on Xbox. I will just say I love my Series X. There are plenty of great games on it. I personally love Starfield, Forza Horizon 5, Hi-Fi Rush, etc. To say it has no games is incredibly disingenuous, but this is a PlayStation site so what can you expect.

I also love my PlayStation 5 too but the amount of negativity towards Xbox on this site is out of hand. I do play my Series X more just because of all the day one releases on GamePass.

I’ll be trying Gollum for a few laughs.

Really, really want Alan Wake 2 to win because it’s just phenomenal. But as many others have said, BG3 will likely win.

@Cherip-the-Ripper Why are you comparing the full month PS Plus lineup to half of a month of GamePass? GP got 12 games total this month including Dungeons 4, Like a Dragon: The Man Who Erased His Name, Persona 5 Tactica, Wild Hearts, Football Manager 2024, Rollerdrome, Dune Spicewars and some other well received day one indie releases. Compare the whole month if you’re going to compare.

For the record, I’d take just Dungeons 4, Like a Dragon and Tactica over the entire PS+ list.

BG3 will win but Alan Wake 2 deserves to IMO. Such an incredible game with by far the most originality and big swings on the technical side of things that were knocked out of the park.

Yeah, the lack of Movies Anywhere makes it a hard no to buy anything on PlayStation. Come on Sony. Even Microsoft participates in MA!

Kept having trouble getting away from this game over the weekend. Soooooooo good. Easily my GoTY so far. Nothing, even BG3, comes close IMO. So well designed and unlike anything before.

That perfect 10 score here was spot on! This is how you raise the bar, not only for a sequel but for next gen gaming.

Probably should have mentioned it’s Nightdive doing this remaster. That alone makes it legit worth looking forward to.

Pretty low on my list right now. I haven’t even finished the first one - started to get bored with the story and repetitiveness. This has been the year of the RPG for me with BG3, FF 16, Sea of Stars, Chained Echoes and Starfield. Add Super Mario Wonder, ToTK and Diablo 3 as well as a few surprises like Lies of P, Hi-Fi Rush and Cocoon and that’s pretty much my year in gaming.

But it’s all about SM Wonder this weekend!

Good for Sony (though it’s Super Mario Bros. Wonder that I’ll be buying and playing today).

@Sakai Ubisoft+ is also available on Xbox. But it’s a joke at $17.99 a month. Even if it includes newer games, Ubisoft game prices drop like a rock.

Have a feeling Baldur’s Gate 3 (96 with 131 total reviews on OpenCritic) or Tears of the Kingdom (96 reviews with 151 reviews on OpenCritic) will be taking home most GoTY prizes, but this will probably at least be nominated.

Sony Core would have to join MA for me to even think about buying a movie through them.

@QuietintheCorner It’s not just you. I’ve seen a bunch of comments here about not wanting to get a game because it’s on GamePass. Judge a game on its merits. Not whether it’s on GP.

I played some on GamePass and can’t wait to try it again with this patch. It had promise but needed some work. Ridiculous that people pass on games because they think they’re “GamePass fodder”. Is Lies of P just “GamePass fodder”? Sea of Stars (also on PS+ Extra) also just “fodder”?

There are some great indie games I’ve played on GamePass so it’s your loss if you don’t want to play a game just because of it. The stupidity of console wars.

FWIW, I know many people, including myself, who are still having a blast with Starfield. But surely commenters on a PlayStation site know best.

Played a bit at launch and was taken back at how much better it felt, particularly in combat.

Fired this back up and can’t pinpoint exactly what has changed (other than looking through the list). It’s been a while but gotta say it feel great so far.

A shame this is coming when I’m already juggling Starfield, Baldur’s Gate 3, AC 6 and Lies of P!

But definitely will go back and finish this.

I don’t know any Xbox player that suddenly thinks the series is “theirs”. They’re just happy to be able to play them on GamePass. Nothing wrong with that.

Also, it’s 86 on OpenCritic which combines PC and Xbox (87 on MetaCritic for PC FWIW).

86 is closer to what the game truly is overall. Pretty close to the 87 on OpenCritic for FF 16.

And I love both games!

The amount of toxicity here is truly sad. Have enjoyed Sony exclusives, but am also loving Starfield. Next to Oblivion as my favorite Bethesda game.

Am lucky to have both systems but when it comes down to it I’m just a gamer.

Maybe release it on EA Play and see if it finds a better audience? Might not hurt at this point.

Sure there’s some good games in there. But since most are at least 2 years old, I’ve played the ones I’ve wanted to play (mostly having grabbed them on cheap sales).

Already played most of these games. A few were on GamePass and already bought a few others (13 Sentinels is a great game). But I’ll give the new Star Ocean a try.

Switching between Starfield, Sea of Stars and Baldur’s Gate 3. What a time to be an RPG fan!

My issue is how large of a price hike it is. I’m in the US and a 35% increase at one time is ludicrous. Honestly was shocked when I saw how dramatic it was.

I’m set through 2/25 but will probably drop Extra at that point.
