9 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for July 2026 Announced

i've been waiting to play rise of ronnin i was waiting to have some time to play , but since it will be on ps+ heres my chance.

Two Premium games!! 😮😮🤯🤯. Really good month on Premium. Im guessing they're re-releasing Indigo Prophecy since it was already on PS4.

Now if both have trophies ill be a happy man. 🤞

Oh they're still doing the weekly rollout? Man they really are just doing whatever they want now huh?

I'll take Far Cry Blue and Power Rangers.

Good month. Predicted avatar to come in July last month after we got star wars outlaws and the crew motorfest before that. They always trickle in the next batch of ubisoft games one after another.

Had rise of the Ronin as a banker to come to the service eventually too. Decent filler titles to bulk out the month.

The months are so much better when we don't see the budget blown on bringing a Rockstar game back for the umpteenth time.

Always found the ps4 version to look blurry. Hoping there's a rewind version.

Decent stuff and got excited for the drop until I remembered it's staggered. Now I'm in full "old man yells at cloud" mode.

@Dan12836666 I agree they're stupid, just gives us everything on thr same day and let us decide what and when we play them. Have to ask though, how is it a way of fleecing more money? If you mean people foolishly subscribing month by month subbing for longer, all you'd have to do is delay subbing until the last game you're interested in releases and then sub for the month. It's a baffling decision that has no obvious benefits including extracting more money from us.

Happy about Rise of the Ronin. I enjoyed the trial but it's never really been cheap enough to dive in yet

Hey, I was just getting ready to purchase Citizen Sleeper 2 on my Switch 2. Everything else I either own or am not interested in, but I'll call that a win.

Have a bunch of these already, including Rise of the Ronin, but it’s on disc so I guess I at least get to keep my butt on the couch at least when I get around to it in the backlog? 😀

Psplus shouldn't exist for anyone who actually wishes Sony to make a course correction. The only way they learn. Until then I don't care what they put on their service. Enough in my physical backlog and on other platforms to play anyways.

On the fence about Ronin but having revisited the review on here I think I’ll give it a miss 😂

Been looking for a reason to replay and finally Platinum Avatar since I upgraded to a Pro and an LG OLED.. actually a couple games look interesting.. never played the Ronin game due to Japanese fatigue so I may check that out

This 1 decent month of Plus Games does not take away from my immense disappointment in Sony though

I'm there for another Fire Fighting Simulator, the AI was awful in the last one. The worst I've seen in a long time. Surely Ignite must be better. It's the same Developer as Construction Simulator which was really good, I ended up playing the DLCs too. Possibly Eiffel 65 Far Cry too, though I'd probably have to finally watch the movies.

Excellent month, finally, I'd play just about all of these.

Also thought I was going insane, I see Indigo Prophecy is the terrible title the US selected for itself for Fahrenheit. Not as bad as Golden Compass at least, but they do like their [name + object] titles.

Been wanting to get Rise of Ronin for ages! Looking forward to trying it. Also excited to finally play Indigo Prophecy or Fahrenheit as it's more commonly known I think.

I forget what time it’s usually announced but I’m curious what games might be leaving the service next month. A lot of games seem to stick to 1 year periods but there are plenty of exceptions.

Mainly I’m looking at Sword of the Sea, Rogue Prince of Persia, and Unicorn Overlord. All added August of 2025. Hoping to play the first two before they leave. Not gonna have time for Unicorn Overlord if these are leaving like August 20th or whatever.

Not a single game for me in July that is worth playing. Maybe by January there will be a game that will be interesting to me.

@Dan12836666 I'm guessing it's to drive engagement across the different tiles, as I assume if they hand out all of them at once, you'll probably just stick to one or two (and they no doubt have the metrics that tell them this).

@twitchtvpat as said, I'm enjoying myself as well, just with an attention of where I'm putting my money and that is wherever consumer rights and ownership aren't trampled on such as psplus. I never minded having a subscription as an addition to physical games, but now it's just not agreeable.

Some decent games added here. I already own a few of them, but it will get me to think about holding out 12 months or so for the games I buy when I am bored but do not need right away (looking at you, Fire Sim Ignite)

@darylb24 I don't suppose you tried the other Fire Simulator game they added to Plus+ before? or Police Simulator? The Fire one was really buggy and janky but if Police Simulator is still available you might want to give it a try. You start off writing tickets but soon rank up. It's fun running after perps or illegally stopping and searching citizens or their vehicles, yeah you'll get reprimanded at the station (especially if you taze them) but it's worth it. You can shoot people too but they have to draw on you first. There's a call-out system and you even get to investigate accidents. It's an easy enough platinum too, the hardest was to catch a certain amount of cars in speedtraps but there are guides online for where they find the perfect catches.

The vehicle models are really good too. It's still smoking as I'm mirandizing them. Ignite has driving too, and you get to chop through walls with axes. Those games might sound boring to some especially Ignite but growing up it was illegal for women to be fire fighters (old Soviet law that lasted until a couple of years ago) I think it still is for construction work, labor laws like that are really strict so I like experimenting with simulators that offer at least a look at the profession. Previously there were about five-hundred banned jobs, now it's more like one-hundred but it's rising again. It's basically to protect reproductive capabilities, we only allowed women train drivers a couple of years ago. Hence why I played Train Simulator, and then found I really liked it. Either way it's good seeing someone else even mention Ignite, they are usually the lowest rated on Plus+ polls after the games are announced but I always give them a click.

@GirlVersusGame I tried the previous Fire Simulator, and I find Ignite to be a great step up. I have also tried Police Simulator, and I had a great time with it! I appreciated the detailed comment. Have a great weekend!
