How many of these stories do we really need?

Love my PS5 and love my Series X. Don’t even care anymore about “exclusives” on Xbox. On Xbox, it’ll continue to be all about GamePass for me the number of big first and third party games coming this year to GP has me hooked.

Will keep going to PS for its great exclusives but Xbox isn’t dead to me as long as they keep doing what they’re doing with GP and keep it affordable (which I suspect selling games multiplatform will help with).

Still room for both for me.

@Lavishturtle Yeah, because I’m sure Celeste and Towerfall took no work at all. Great games that just magically appeared.

Nothing much for me other than the Premium games. Already played Ragnarok when it came out and many of the others I played on GamePass when they came out. Still recognize that it’s a good month for many others though.

Have had GoW since launch. Have played bunch of the other games, including The Man Who Erased His Name, on GamePass. Kind of funny that PS Plus is getting the first Citizen Sleeper while the sequel is coming to GP the same month.

Indy and Medievil 2 have me interested though..

Isn’t this the second game in a few weeks where a review criticized the use a lot of proper nouns? LOL.

Sometimes I wish this site would act more like a news site and not interject opinion in their articles (except reviews of course). It’s off putting and this isn’t even the worst offender.

Gross. As many mistakes Ubisoft has made, they’ve still had some good output. If that gets put in the hands of Tencent, I worry about the future of their big franchises. Don’t think there could be a worse outcome.

@Nem So you go to MetaCritic and sort the 44 Xbox reviews by score. There’s only three out of 44 that gave below an 8. So you’re saying over 90% of the critics are sell outs? I suppose the same must be true for every Sony game that’s ever gotten good reviews?

Some people will really will stretch their imagination just to fit their own agenda.

Yeah, I’m also curious how this compares to the Apple Arcade version. Love what I’ve played of that version but totally agree on the difficulty spikes.

Also really unfair for some to write it off as just a mobile game. It’s a thousand times better than some of the cookie cutter JRPGs available on console. But sure, it’s just a mobile game…

I’ve been playing it “early” on my Series X for quite a while now and love it. Definitely my favorite of all the Left 4 Dead clones. Highly recommend to PlayStation players!

It Takes Two is incredible but it really does take two. It would have been cool if they could have had some sort of matchmaking ability.

Of course they’re back after I broke down two days ago and used points on something else. ☹️

There needs to be another option. “Yes, I will definitely be playing this on Xbox with GamePass”.

Game already has a good player base (more than even the new Dragon Age) on Steam and an 80% positive. A lot of reviewers may have been playing without the patches. So far so good on my Series X!

But please, take the word of those commenting here over those playing it.

@Greifchen If you read them, many of those reviews say the game itself is great. It’s the technical issues that are dragging it down. So “pretty positive” is probably referring to the views of the overall game sans the technical problems.

My issue with this game was the cops. Wayyyy too aggressive and made it a pain in the ass to get through the career.

What’s the difference between Max 4K on PS5 and just 4K on Xbox Series X. Does that mean PS5 doesn’t always hit 4K resolution while XSX does?

Just Digimon Survive and Killer Frequency for me from Extra. Nice line up for Premium though.

I’m having a blast with the game. Best MechWarrior in years (and so much better than Mercenaries, which felt half baked).

Would note this review is an outlier. This has an 80 on Metacritic (79 on OpenCritic) and deserves the praise it is getting elsewhere. Great game!

P.S. And if you’re comparing a MechWarrior game to XCom, then, yeah, you’ve already disqualified yourself from having a valid review.

Nadella never refutes the leakers point that they are slowing down. Just because he says more are coming doesn’t mean that a ton are suddenly going to pop up. Both can be true, as the leaker himself has been explaining since. Neither pause or slow down means stop. This isn’t a story.

This the same leaker who always gets PS Plus games right. He’s one of the more reliable leakers.

Honestly haven’t done much with Stars but just looked and can’t seem to find any option for PSN credit on my US account.

Is it supposed to be under the “PlayStation Store Rewards” section?

Also been rated for Xbox so likely be getting announced for it soon enough.

I’ll play it on GamePass but definitely will buy it at some point as well to show support if it turns out as good as it sounds like it will.

The emulation is indeed better so far but why the f***k is it 26.83 GB?!? We’re talking about a PS2 game that fit on a DVD. So the game itself was less than 8.5 GB. Does that mean the emulation wrapper is almost 20 GB?

@johnedwin Could just be that it plays better on Xbox, which would make both of them right, but haven’t seen a comparison.

Eh, this was pretty meh to me. Definitely not legendary. I adored the MotorStorm games though and really wish this studio was still around to make another one.

For me this is just another case of already owning the two games I’d be most interested in - Dead Space and Doki Doki. Really have little interest in WWE but might at least try it. Not a great month for me personally but definitely a good month overall for those that need them.

It’s on GamePass so might give it a try over there.

Banishers is a great game with a different approach to the ghost theme and an emotional core. Hope it finds an audience overtime. It deserves it.

With game performance better at launch on Series X, I picked it up there. But it’s outstanding. Easily the best Warhammer game yet IMO. Does have a bit more of a Gears of War feel but that’s fine by me. Graphical detail is amazing, especially with literally hundreds of enemies on the screen at times.

It’s cute but after playing an hour it seems way more geared towards kids than I expected. Easy and puzzles like using words in sentences make it pretty clear who the target audience is.

Thought it would be a bit more like Zelda games and appeal more to all ages.

This is MTX done right. No need to buy them but they’re there if you want them (and apparently a lot of people want them).

Surprised you didn’t also mention that The Crew 2 is also on sale everywhere for only $1.

Have had this on Xbox and, sure, there’s some games I wish were on there but people who ignore this just because it’s “streaming” are missing out. Games like this take up so little bandwidth that I don’t even notice that it’s streaming. It feels like you’re playing a game locally unlike PS Plus Premium or GamePass streaming. Those services have much more graphically intensive games and you certainly will notice buffering at times. Not with this.

Anyway, your mileage my vary as far as catalog but for people who don’t have the time to do emulation and the whole gray market of roms, this is a nice option IMO.
