Honestly haven’t done much with Stars but just looked and can’t seem to find any option for PSN credit on my US account.

Is it supposed to be under the “PlayStation Store Rewards” section?

Also been rated for Xbox so likely be getting announced for it soon enough.

I’ll play it on GamePass but definitely will buy it at some point as well to show support if it turns out as good as it sounds like it will.

I gotta wonder if the “extreme violence” quote was not translated correctly.

The emulation is indeed better so far but why the f***k is it 26.83 GB?!? We’re talking about a PS2 game that fit on a DVD. So the game itself was less than 8.5 GB. Does that mean the emulation wrapper is almost 20 GB?

@johnedwin Could just be that it plays better on Xbox, which would make both of them right, but haven’t seen a comparison.

Eh, this was pretty meh to me. Definitely not legendary. I adored the MotorStorm games though and really wish this studio was still around to make another one.

For me this is just another case of already owning the two games I’d be most interested in - Dead Space and Doki Doki. Really have little interest in WWE but might at least try it. Not a great month for me personally but definitely a good month overall for those that need them.

It’s on GamePass so might give it a try over there.

Banishers is a great game with a different approach to the ghost theme and an emotional core. Hope it finds an audience overtime. It deserves it.

With game performance better at launch on Series X, I picked it up there. But it’s outstanding. Easily the best Warhammer game yet IMO. Does have a bit more of a Gears of War feel but that’s fine by me. Graphical detail is amazing, especially with literally hundreds of enemies on the screen at times.

It’s cute but after playing an hour it seems way more geared towards kids than I expected. Easy and puzzles like using words in sentences make it pretty clear who the target audience is.

Thought it would be a bit more like Zelda games and appeal more to all ages.

This is MTX done right. No need to buy them but they’re there if you want them (and apparently a lot of people want them).

Have played it on Series X and it really is a great game. Glad to hear it’s coming to PS5!

Surprised you didn’t also mention that The Crew 2 is also on sale everywhere for only $1.

Have had this on Xbox and, sure, there’s some games I wish were on there but people who ignore this just because it’s “streaming” are missing out. Games like this take up so little bandwidth that I don’t even notice that it’s streaming. It feels like you’re playing a game locally unlike PS Plus Premium or GamePass streaming. Those services have much more graphically intensive games and you certainly will notice buffering at times. Not with this.

Anyway, your mileage my vary as far as catalog but for people who don’t have the time to do emulation and the whole gray market of roms, this is a nice option IMO.

@get2sammyb That was just an example. All I’m saying is I don’t think all IPs should just be tossed to the side and forgotten. But Sony seems to have done that to quite a few of their great ones.

I mean it can be both, can’t it? It celebrates the past but it’s also hard to deny that there are many Sony franchises that fans wish they would have done more with. Would I take another Resistance game over PlayStation’s “evolution” with games like Concord? Hell yeah. Who wouldn’t?

So I can see the point of The Gamer article but yet also can enjoy reminiscing through PlayStation history as well.

To me it’s important to evolve but also make use of your best IPs. And I think that was the point of The Gamer article. Not that the game was some kind of morbid graveyard.

If every company was supposed to only evolve and not use their best IPs, does that mean we shouldn’t have Mario and Zelda games anymore?

You can try new things and still embrace the past much like Zelda has gotten more and more creative over the years.

Funny how many people are writing this off as a crap game at 77 on OpenCritic yet Black Myth: Wukong is a GoTY contender with some here and is only 4 points higher at 81.

@FraserG with all of the marketing for this game from Xbox, I’m curious why Pure Xbox hasn’t provided even a fraction of the updates that Push Square has on this game. Would be nice to see an article over there on this gameplay video. I know plenty of Xbox gamers would be interested.

As with the concurrent users, I’m guessing a very high percentage of the sales are in China. Shows how huge of an opportunity that market is. I’m sensing a lot of games based on Chinese history in our future.

FWIW, the guy who originally started the Forza Horizon 5 rumor, Shinobi 602, has deleted his post on ResetERA. I’d take everything with a grain of salt until something is announced.

This same guy said Starfield was coming to PS5 then later had to backtrack and say he was wrong. Guess we’ll see.

It’s a good month just not for me. Have most of the games on both Extra and Premium (Timesplitters series through BC on Xbox). But glad there’s some good stuff for others to dig into.

Enjoyed this when it first came out but it’s been quite a while since I’ve played. Sounds like it’s a good time to fire it up again!

Streaming still isn’t ideal for newer games but I’ve used this and it works very well. Have to remember these retro games aren’t graphically intensive and require very little bandwidth. I understand why people wouldn’t like the subscription model but don’t dismiss this service just because it’s streaming.

Sounds silly but if the eyes were LED and moved around, I probably would have gotten one. But otherwise I’ll pass, I don’t need another controller and would rather save $80 for games.

@Frmknst I mean it was huge hit on PC before it came to mobile and console. It’s not a mobile game port. I never could see the fuss myself but it’s definitely got hordes of fans. 98% on Steam with over 220,000 reviews.

Hmm…that actually does sound like my same assessment of Concord.

What’s funny is that you could buy a month of EA Play for far less and play it early for 10 hours then get the game at launch. I’ve been playing the trial via EA Play / GamePass. Fun game so far. But the trial will probably last me until the price drops.

Loved the demo and will be playing on GamePass but Flintlock and, especially, Dungeons of Hinterberg are getting most of my time right so far this week. Too many games to play!

It’s the perfect example of mediocre. Doesn’t do anything new. Well polished (even as a beta) but I see. Nothing here that will draw me into playing this on a regular basis. This certainly will not be a Helldivers 2 level hit.

Don’t pay full price for sports games but definitely will be checking this out with the EA Play/GamePass 10-hour trial! Used to love the college versions of these games.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the person who sold it was someone affected by all the recent layoffs. May no longer have a horse in the race so figured they’d try to make some cash this way. If that was the case, more power to them!

Really loving this so far. Combat especially is fantastic. And definitely seems like their other games where you can play without spending a dime. Well worth a try!

Tough call for me between Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Unicorn Overlord. Picked UO this time but could slide either way.

Surprised it hasn’t been reported here that Sony Rewards is shutting down. Wasn’t great but it was something to get some occasional PS credit or a free movie.
