Sad news. They made some great games. Their latest, Shadow Gambit, may end up being one of favorites in the strategy genre.

What’s funny is that this is one of the lower reviews. It’s got a 94 on OpenCritic so far. Can’t wait to play it!

Playable on Series X already and I’m absolutely loving it!

Actually love this one more the Desperados III. It’s so much more accessible with wonderful writing and lots of different ways to approach each mission.

Wow. Think that’s the first perfect score on Eurogamer since they changed to the new system.

@KaijuKaiser It’s still got an 85 average on OpenCritic currently. I don’t think people are going to be disappointed with review scores in general.

Not sure how this is different than having a phone with a controller.

FWIW, the game still has a 90 on OpenCritic even after including this site’s score (which is the lowest, of course).

I kind of disagree with the Diablo 4 criticism. The 25-30 hour main campaign did have a clear end-goal. So I was perfectly good with the original release in the state it was in. Did the post-release content need more thought? Yes, but the main release was fantastic on its own and has very few bugs. Not a game I would call “unfinished” at release.

And there’s still dozens of hours of content I haven’t played!

There’s a two-hour trial available with PS+ or the same trial on Xbox without a sub.

Definitely gonna try this after the stellar reviews it’s been getting.

A few backward compatible Xbox games on the list with the server fixes that occurred. Kind of interesting how they spiked after that.

Not exactly sure where the “rock solid” PC port came from in the header. DF mentioned a ton of problems.

Sounds good. Probably play it on my iPhone via Netflix.

I’d give it an 7-8 so far. The opening hours were great but then it slows down to a crawl. I’ve played 12 hours and outside of some boss fights (and those opening hours), I’ve been a bit disappointed after all the hype. Hoping it gets better and I’m just in a lull. That said if it is a lull, then it’s got some serious pacing issues.

Reminds me of Final Fantasy VII Remake where they added too much filler. And I haven’t even done many side quests.

They announced this during this trial but they aren’t blocking it at all. It’s actually past their deadline and they had let it go with just some concerns. And just would continue to monitor it. This story and the headline are inaccurate.

I own all of them (well, AW on Series X) but acknowledge that it’s a good month.

Article conveniently leaves out the first part of the sentence that Booty said “A different view to the general view below might be that”. He was presenting a different point of view to a group. Not saying this is what Microsoft would do. But whatever…

After playing a few hours (post demo), have to say the frame rate issues are more bothersome than I thought they would be. Also, any way to turn off the spoken dog commands? They’re pretty annoying, lol.

Otherwise enjoying it so far!

Hmm, first reaction to this article is Fallout: New Vegas is the black sheep?!? It’s a great game that got good reviews and sits at 96% positive on Steam.

Looks like my copy will be arriving a day early tomorrow. Looking forward to diving after work!

@TheCollector316 If you use the Xbox app, it always has the option to download for every game. So you just click that and as long as your console has space, it will download.

Of course, you won’t be able to actually play it unless you have a license for it (on disc or digital).

I wish PlayStation had a way like Xbox does to download games you don’t yet own. Getting the disc and would love to get a jump on the download!

Love coming to Push Square. Where even having an opinion about something being sacrilegious gets you mocked!

I’d report comments for this but clearly others enjoy it, from the likes you get. Perhaps I should go somewhere else where the community doesn’t attack someone over a religious point of view.

@KaijuKaiser There’s a difference between video games doing it with clearly fantasy or cartoonish takes and using painting styling that actually invokes religious imagery.

Heck, I play plenty of games like Diablo to Shadow of the Damned and am not offended. But whatever, you don’t care about what others think. I get it.

I generally don’t block people for opinions but when people start attacking over something about religion? Well, maybe you’ll be the first.

I’m excited about the game but this spot was a bit over the top for me. Almost felt a bit sacrilegious with some of the imagery and I’m not even that religious.

Good month. Just have played most of them on GamePass and own most of the few others I’d be interested in (like Inscryption). Will give Elex II a shot though.

My problem is that a lot and I mean probably 75% of these games have been on GamePass at some point. And the others are games I would be interested in I already own.

Elex II is probably the main attraction for me and, honestly, not that attractive, lol.

No doubt that PlayStation Extra is adding a lot of good games but I have a feeling it’s going to continue to be like this a lot for me. Still appreciate a new game thrown into the mix even if it is an indie.

Nothing I’m too excited about. Though I have Far Cry 6 on my Series X but had to uninstall it for other newer games. It’s got cross platform progression so think I may download it on my PS5 and continue there. I’ll take that as a win.

Not sure why but the demo didn’t do much for me. But glad to see others enjoyed it.

I was on the fence about the game before this but from the first hour of it at least, it’s turned me off. Kind of dull TBH.

In a shocking twist, Push Square continues to show how gullible it is by continuing to do daily non-stories for Square Enix’s PR machine.

Does it really matter what day it releases on? Gonna flip regardless.

While the game itself will probably be great, a lot of Final Fantasy fans are concerned about the direction it’s taking with combat. Who knows, it might end up losing some die hard FF fans while gaining some action gamers.

Not the best solution but apparently if you buy add-on currency, it’ll validate the license and let you play. Cheapest is $2. Bunch of people on ResetERA have done it to get in.

Hoping the demo will have save progress that transfers to the main game.

Diablo IV on Series X and continuing TOTK on Switch. Gonna be a while for FF 16 (and hopefully after a price drop).

Was going to grab NBA 2K23 on Xbox later this week. This will save me a whopping $6.99, lol!

Otherwise not such a great month for me as both of the other games are on GamePass.

Just because it’s listed on their books doesn’t mean it’s coming along well.

Interestingly enough the mobile game, Phantom Blade Executioners, was apparently in beta on Android a year ago then vanished. So really they haven’t officially released even the mobile game.

So yeah, that isn’t promising…

Also, I think people misunderstand the disappointment with the showcase. It wasn’t so much what was shown as it was what wasn’t shown. The lack of first party stuff. It was a good showcase but not a good Sony showcase. And I agree with that assessment personally.

So wait, I thought it was Xbox that has no games?
