Not sure why but the demo didn’t do much for me. But glad to see others enjoyed it.

I was on the fence about the game before this but from the first hour of it at least, it’s turned me off. Kind of dull TBH.

In a shocking twist, Push Square continues to show how gullible it is by continuing to do daily non-stories for Square Enix’s PR machine.

Does it really matter what day it releases on? Gonna flip regardless.

While the game itself will probably be great, a lot of Final Fantasy fans are concerned about the direction it’s taking with combat. Who knows, it might end up losing some die hard FF fans while gaining some action gamers.

Not the best solution but apparently if you buy add-on currency, it’ll validate the license and let you play. Cheapest is $2. Bunch of people on ResetERA have done it to get in.

Having a blast so far (on my Series X, sorry).

Hoping the demo will have save progress that transfers to the main game.

Diablo IV on Series X and continuing TOTK on Switch. Gonna be a while for FF 16 (and hopefully after a price drop).

Was going to grab NBA 2K23 on Xbox later this week. This will save me a whopping $6.99, lol!

Otherwise not such a great month for me as both of the other games are on GamePass.

Interestingly enough the mobile game, Phantom Blade Executioners, was apparently in beta on Android a year ago then vanished. So really they haven’t officially released even the mobile game.

So yeah, that isn’t promising…

Also, I think people misunderstand the disappointment with the showcase. It wasn’t so much what was shown as it was what wasn’t shown. The lack of first party stuff. It was a good showcase but not a good Sony showcase. And I agree with that assessment personally.

So wait, I thought it was Xbox that has no games?

Well, almost everything was multiplatform. Mainly just Spider-Man and some PSVR 2 games for exclusives. Kind of disappointing from that point of view. (Even though I really don’t care about console wars)

And what’s funny is that Sony uses Microsoft as part of its cloud solution.

So after that fast travel is basically a paid subscription? That’s pretty disgusting.

Have most of the games on here that I wanted already but will give Sakuna and Rune Factory 4 a shot as well as the PSP games.

@GeeEssEff There’s been plenty of great day one games on GamePass. Wo Long Fallen Dynasty, MLB The Show 23, Monster Hunter Rise and Hi-Fi Rush just to name a few this year alone. Not to mention good games that were day one for Xbox like Guilty Gear Strive and all the Persona games.

I like both services but prefer new games and experiences so that’s why I’ll always generally prefer GamePass. Even though that first half of May (and it is just the first half as MS has two announcements a month) is only five games, three of them are brand new, day one games. I loved the first Fuga so would have bought the sequel day one and that alone is $40. Wo Long day one also saved me money.

A lot of good older games is nice but only if you haven’t played them already.

And GamePass has a ton of great older games as well, like all Persona 3-5, for example, as well as a bunch of the same games that are on PS Plus Extra.

But honestly, Sony has done a much better job with Extra than I ever thought they would.

@Bez87 One of the highest rated games of the year, Hi-Fi Rush, is a new IP. Not a fanboy response. Just a fact.

I’m really excited about all the new IPs Sony is bringing to the table this year. Oh wait, there are none…

Wow. It’s just amazing how people are distorting this. Listen to the whole damn interview! All he said was that good games aren’t going to WIN the console race at this point because of how entrenched people are in each ecosystem.

He never said that good games don’t matter. Never said that Xbox was going to stop focusing on making good games.

It’s infuriating how people not only don’t understand the point he’s making but change it into something completely different.

Maybe watch the full interview people. It’s not “alarming” to me as an Xbox owner. It’s refreshing honestly. And he NEVER says Xbox is just going to stop making good games. Once again just twisting the story into whatever fits the fanboy view of the moment.

Sad review of a great game. Next lowest review on Open Critic is a 6.5. Anyway, I’m loving it!

I still think Titanfall 2’s campaign is one of the greatest of all time, with some positively incredible and original levels and set pieces. I’m curious to see if Respawn has surpassed that with this game.

Just hoping it follows Genshin Impact’s footsteps with fair IAPs.

Love how people are blaming GamePass. Remember that Koei Tecmo is getting a big paycheck from Microsoft and they clearly thought whatever that money is was enough to offset sales. So they are getting one big payday over individual sales. People act like somehow they are losing all those sales and getting nothing in return. We have no idea the terms of those deals.

Absolutely loved Wo Long on GamePass. Played the Wild Hearts trial but it didn’t grab me. Not a big Monster Hunter gamer.

One reason they need Destiny 3 is that the story for D2 has gotten so unwieldy and difficult to follow even for veterans let alone new players. I think it needs a reset with a new storyline and not make the mistakes D2 made with its complex lore.

Isn’t it now a whopping 35 titles including the three added that are leaving?

Yeah, this “unsung” benefit of PS Premium is ridiculous. This same 1-hour trial is available on Xbox without a subscription. Sony should be ashamed of locking stuff like this behind a sub.

Yeah, Microsoft had zero to do with this. Private Division wouldn’t even count the GamePass version for a discounted upgrade. This is all Take Two, Private Division and Virtuos.

Wording of the title got my hopes up a bit. I thought Crypt of the Necrodancer and Twilight Zone were the two free titles.

I got this and while it wasn’t horrible, it wasn’t great either. So I put it aside for other games in my backlog. Anxious to see how much better it is after this patch.

Of course it’s too little too late. They’re shutting the servers down for it!

Grabbed Hong Kong Massacre for $2.99. Isn’t supposed to be that great but was inspiration for the top-down action sequence in John Wick 4 so had to check it out.

Enjoyed the first one but could have done without the puzzles. Sounded like the devs were doubling down on that part, which is disappointing. But looking forward forward to it nonetheless.

Tchia is the highlight for me as I’ve played most of the other games or have them via GamePass. But good month!
