Not interested in GTA (bought the PS5 version for 10 bucks and didn't play it much, it's not for me) but multiple cool games on the list otherwise.
Definitely checking out Thank Goodness and Pacific Drive

I think I’ll check out the demo first but it does sound nice.

I'm actually surprised it wasn't there before, as this has been a requirement in the EU for a long time. All retailers here have to disclose this information.

I hit a bug today (after the update) where I got softlocked after killing all the enemies with the cannon outside Ishikari Castle. It just wouldn't trigger the next sequence after all the enemies were dead.
Reloading last checkpoint solved it, as expected (wasn't a very long sequence either) so no biggy.

@JohnnyShoulder yeah and I did play that one and I thought it was a bit tedious at times
There's a lot more combat than in 2 and it's just not that fun.
Anyway, what I'm saying is play AW first or at least watch a video if you don't want to. I would not recommend going into AW2 without it.

@koverby @Jrs1 I'd say knowing the story of the first game will be very beneficial to understanding many of the events of AW2.
That being said, that game might be showing its age in 2025 and be a bit tedious at times. For that reason I think it's alright to just watch some kind of story summary.
Being familiar with Control will also add a bit but not nearly as important. Matters more for the DLC.

Probably just different thermals or something, like in the early PS5 models

Saros and Wolverine both look excellent, can't wait.

Other than that not much seemed interesting to me specifically (and trailers for games that release this or next week seemed redundant).
I will admit Flight Simulator footage from PS5 Pro looked very impressive though.

I like the general idea but since this is PS Direct, I won't have access to it anytime soon.

@Scottyy it does utilize the power boost on PS5 well though - but I guess it's missing features like haptics and 3d audio

I played Psychonauts 2 already but it's an amazing game, highly recommended
Might try Viewfinder.

I really liked the first one despite its clunkiness so I still want to play this. Might wait for sale though.

@Magatsuhi DBFZ was supported for 6 years and I'd argue Dragon Ball is not as popular as Marvel, nor does it have the character variety.

Very few games in this genre come even close to this kind of numbers, including the previous entries in this series.
This is a massive achievement for a fighting game that isn't Street Fighter, Tekken or Mortal Kombat.

Also worth noting that while the game used to be on Game Pass (which is why they mention players rather than copies sold), it's been gone from it for a good while now.

@Veritas7Ax The will be some kind of tutorial with the CPU but the goal of a beta like this is usually to test the netcode along side with some balance issues, so they'll definitely want most players to use the online features

Very good QoL changes. I'm still in Act 1 so I expect I have quite a bit to go and especially the Battle Retry will be very welcome.

I liked Outlaws (even though it wasn't close to being neither the best SW game or the best Ubi open world) but this is hardly surprising, given how badly it reportedly sold

I enjoyed the first season. Will watch when it comes to something I'm subscribed to (first Season went to HBO Max over here iirc)

I had to ask my younger friends who this was but it seems like a good pick for Sony, idk

I've been subscribed non-stop since the PS3 days (but not the very beginning iirc).
Some things have changed for the worse over the years (price and the availability of deals, Plus being required for online play, etc) but overall the service got better.
I'm subscribed to Premium because I do enjoy an occasional retro game (and some PSVR2 games being included was nice too) but I think for most people Extra is the best tier right now.

I'll probably skip this CE but mostly because I'm running out of space to display the collectibles 😅

No Direct in my country so I'm not expecting anything

I didn't think the trailer looked very good in the last SoP but then I heard some things about it from the previews and apparently it's very fun. Looking forward to learning more.

Ok I got misunderstood here and you're making me sound like a bad guy.
I'm not saying I need a discount on CO - I'll buy it anyway, when it's its turn (playing some other games first). However, since I'm already planning on getting it, I wouldn't say no to a deal.
All I'm saying is I'm less interested in discounts on games I wasn't planning on getting, I guess.

The wording of a more recent tweet makes me think Ishiwatari's new project isn't a game at all. Might be something about his music instead.

@RBMango Yeah I wouldn't bet on Tokon making an appearance here either, because this seems like a showcase for ASW as a publisher, which they aren't for the Marvel game.
I also don't think Daisuke's game is Guilty Gear unless it's a spin-off in a different genre.

Not that the title is particularly controversial but I just wanna say I think Synth Riders is the more fun rhythm VR game

I sure hope the next Playstation does not run on Windows.

As for Xbox, this has to mean it will be more expensive than traditional consoles - I don't think MS can afford to sell them at a loss (like they did with Xboxes) if they're not guaranteed to get any revenue from the games.

I think the premise was good (even if not too original) - it could've been told with more impact though.

I thought this looked fun in the presentations and I'll be willing to give it a shot on PS+.

@nomither6 I didn’t buy it myself because I figured in my limited time there would be few occasions I’d want to launch it over Guilty Gear but I played the beta and thought it was good

My main problem was that the base difficulty was very easy most of the time, so it didn't really require you to do anything advanced in the combat.

Man, this game is such a weird case even within the genre.
Very popular in the competitive circuits - no doubt thanks to the promise of massive prize pools.
Completely failed to resonate with the more casual players though - likely in part because they saw it as this highly competitive game.
Ronaldo and Salvatore are officially the 2 least popular characters too.

That being said, Andy looks cool.
