Re: Looks Like Fall Guys Will Crash The Game Awards with Season 3 Announcement

TheAdza

My problem with the game is it's just over too quickly. Yes i am bad at it, but it's super fun anyway. However i spend more time watching the end of round screens and dropping into a new game screens than i do playing the levels. Well it feels like it anyway. If there was some way to quickly bounce all players who didn't make it through a course into another course would go toward minimising that non play time. Hell, perhaps have the players who dont make it somehow change roles and help or hinder the players who succeed in the next round. Like aiming balls, or slime cannons, something not too intrusive but enough to keep me playing as opposed to waiting to play.

Re: Mortal Kombat 11 Adds the Klassic Movie Kast

TheAdza

Poor MK Annihilation actors who took on the roles when a lot of the cast weren't asked back. Ive always enjoyed those two movies one after the other WITH the jarring cast changes. It adds to the cheese factor.

Re: PS5 Stunner Kena: Bridge of Spirits Still on Track for Early 2021

TheAdza

Same. Assuming i will be able to get a ps5 by then. It's good for Sony that it keeps selling out, bad for people who want one and cant get one. But back on topic, this game and its preview with the unveiling of PS5 was the one that made me not want to wait until a year or so before jumping on board. It looks beautiful. Should make good use of the duel sense too.

Re: Rocket League Won't Get Meaningful Upgrades on PS5, Unlike Xbox Series X

TheAdza

Dickish indeed. Didn't Sony just give Epic some kind of cash injection recently too? Combined with money hatting those couple of Bethesda games for 6 months which turned out to be basically useless seeing MS bought them out ( the 6 month exclusivity still stands but effectively any profiting from that deal will be Microsofts money now) it seems that PR wise Sony is having misstep after misstep, or little things where Microsoft can come in and say "hey, it's better over here" in the same way Sony did to them with the whole sharing a game thing back when XB1 and PS4 launched. It's fascinating to see it play out. Console wars, a tale as old as ... videogames... almost. Anyway, fun times if you are into this kind of thing, seeing which company's strategies are paying off and which ones aren't.

Re: PS5's Destruction AllStars Free with PS Plus, Delayed to February 2021

TheAdza

Hopefully i will be able to get my hands on a PS5 by then. I was a bit slow on pre ordering, mainly because of Sony's silence. But i am a ps plus subscriber, so hopefully i will be able to add it to my library even if i don't have a ps5 yet. In the same way ive added vita games in the past even though i never owned a vita.

Re: New PS5 Features Discovered in PS Store's Source Code

TheAdza

@LiamCroft A lot more criticism should be thrown at Sony so they will give us what we want. Information. Any. About the console, about it's features, you know, the console we can (well, could) pre purchase, but have no idea what it's actual feature set includes. How about making some noise and be critical but without toxic negativity? Seems like a fair trade. Without some negative feedback Sony won't stop being the arrogant company we want to do better for the sake of gaming.

Re: PS Plus October 2020 PS4 Games Announced

TheAdza

Ive been eyeing Vampyr for a while. Its gone super low in sales before so not great for value. But a game i will get around to playing eventually so I'm thankful for that. I don't have NFS Payback either but i doubt i will play it much if it is loaded with microtransactions.

Re: DIRT 5, Maneater Saves Won't Transfer from PS4 to PS5

TheAdza

Oh Sony. They want people to transition from PS4 to PS5 quickly but they ain't helping their cause with issues like these. And staying quiet about them isn't helping matters. Even taking some responsibility for things like this and not being able to fix them would show some humanity in the company.

Re: Talking Point: What Free October 2020 PS Plus Games Are You Hoping For?

TheAdza

@nookie_egg i remember they did a public vote thing once where everyone got the popular picks. But actually having a list of like 20 or so ever changing games where every month an individual could choose two out of them, and then someone else could choose what they prefer and get them, that as far as im aware hasn't happened.

Re: Talking Point: What Free October 2020 PS Plus Games Are You Hoping For?

TheAdza

Some kind of choice from a list of games would be great. The list could change as some games leave more are added. That would definitely change up the added value to PS Plus and be a good counter to Gamepass. Especially when the list could include indie greats alongside bigger budget titles. It won't happen but I can dream. Meanwhile i will join the chorus of people hoping for something i do not already own. Id hope for something not on PS Now as well if Sony would hurry the capital F up on making it available in Australia.

Re: Reaction: Spider-Man PS5 Debacle Shows Sony Is Out of Touch

TheAdza

@ShadowWolf712 of course i know that. But it shows its basically the same engine with everything set to max. Insomniac have been playing around with the engine running on PS5 devkits for ages. Which is why im finding it a really hard sell as a remaster, when i would be more wowed by a new IP using the engine they have been working to wow us, not a remaster of a relatively new game. Even DLC for MM would have gone over better. Or better yet, new paid DLC for the original Spiderman game that gave access to the "remaster" with new stories to tell for Peter Parker. Sony are misfiring, and not reading the room. I wish it wasn't this way, but it sure seems like it is.

Re: Reaction: Spider-Man PS5 Debacle Shows Sony Is Out of Touch

TheAdza

People arent expecting it for nothing. They are wondering why a remaster is needed in the first place when a bit of tinkering here and there would do as a free upgrade option. It's not an old game. They won't be building the engine from scratch for PS5 as we know MM is going to be on PS4 as well as PS5. So how could it be really a remaster of a game that theoretically could be done on PS4, but isnt. It's already a PS4 game. It's just Sony saying "Spiderman is popular, how can we greedily milk this?" Really bad decision making. Id also prefer the time and money put into this remaster disaster be put into something new and different from Insomniac.

Re: Microsoft Ponders More Video Game Company Acquisitions

TheAdza

As I've always been against the idea of timed exclusivity, i am getting quite a chuckle out of Sony paying Bethesda for 6 month exclusive rights to those couple of games, that money now being effectively Microsofts money. Great lot of good 6 months exclusivity will do when they will go on Gamepass for the low low price of nothing except the subscription price. Sorry Sony, you can't keep playing by the same rules. Make a move. Upend the coffee table. Do something. Staying the same and doing business as usual isn't going to cut it this gen. I want a Sony kept on it's toes and firing on all cylinders, not this arrogant early PS3 era we seem to be having a "renaissance" of cough irrelevant Spiderman remaster cough

Re: Sony Confirms Spider-Man PS5 Remaster Is Not a Free Upgrade

TheAdza

This is rubbish Sony. The game didn't need a remaster. It just needed to run at 60 fps. So Sony have wasted Insomniacs time on making a brand new game by trying to milk the Spiderman brand. Remasters. Sony's answer to gamepass it seems? Haha. The ***** show of 2020 continues.

Re: Reaction: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of Today's PS5 News

TheAdza

The presentation left me with more questions than answers.

What is the UI like? What is the create button? How fast do games load? Will the playstation plus collection be expanded? Where is the list of PS4 games (if any) that will benefit from being played on PS5?

Not impressed with the price hike on games. Im in Australia where the standard edition AAA games are already on that $99.95 AUD barrier and can go up to $160 and over for special editions. Imagine seeing a premium edition digital day one game on the psn store selling for $200 AUD. Crikey. For some extra skins and an artbook or soundtrack? Nope.

Re: PS5 Price May Dip Below $400, Analyst Speculates

TheAdza

@kappasig390 My ideal scenario for pricing is exactly the same. If they are going to be the same or above Series X, i really need that PS Now bundled in with PS Plus as a way of making it worth it for a launch or close to launch purchase. Fingers and other extremities are crossed.

Re: PS5 Showcase Event Confirmed for This Wednesday

TheAdza

@eddie429 Gamepass can be a difference maker this time because it is an established service at the launch of the console with lots of coverage about how great it is. Im really tempted by it now. Never owned an Xbox before. I don't care which company sells more consoles. I just care about games and my wallet.

Re: PS5 Showcase Event Confirmed for This Wednesday

TheAdza

@eddie429 but not long enough to turn the tides after a disastrous XBox One launch and the runaway success of PS4. Do you really think it's not a great deal because of lower xb1 units sold? Or just defending Sony just because? I think its a great deal. And i know thats purely subjective. But what what i think as well as many other game websites that champion gamepass and its value as a service have anything to do with console units sold? Just because something didn't sell better than the competition doesnt mean that the games and services on that platform don't have merit. Some of the best games in history have been locked to consoles that have performed badly. I don't see your logic. Sorry.

Re: PS5 Showcase Event Confirmed for This Wednesday

TheAdza

I think they will announce a price and date. I want to see some major shake ups with PS Now and PS Plus though, something to compete with Gamepass. I think with how aggressive Microsoft are being, and how good of a deal a Series S is with Gamepass, (i am seriously considering that to be my first xbox system ever at some point) Sony just doing the same old same old isnt going to cut it. Unless they undercut the competition in a BIG way. But even then how long can it last when up against gamepass. 2 games a month you might not like that are only available for that month to add to your library or else you miss out, or a bunch of games for way less that are always available as long as you're subscribed. PS Now kind of fills that spot but its not available everywhere and certainly not where i live. Gamepass is. I want a PS5 but for the first time ever M$ have tempted me. Surely there are more people that that think the same. This gen will surely be interesting and disruptive. And we would all benefit if Sony started going aggressive and disruptive too instead of what feels like some of that post PS2 arrogance shining through after the success of PS4 i.e talking about value, the exotic look of the PS5, clearly stating they believe in generations which could mean they like the status quo. Don't get me wrong, i like the look of the PS5, the dual sense looks like the perfect controller i cant wait to get my hands on one. I really want to play Spider Man Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank. But do i want it at launch if there is no decent response to Gamepass? I just don't know now. I'm excited to see how it plays out thats for sure.

Re: Outrage as EA Shoves Real World Ads Into UFC 4 After Review Period Is Over

TheAdza

Did it appear there after launch? No idea, as i don't play these types of games due to yearly releases leaving last years game obselete. However a tiny gatorade icon does seem more tasteful than some big almost full screen ads tacked on after launch. There are ways to have advertising done tastefully. This example provided in this story deserves all the mockery and shame the internet can provide.

Re: Madden NFL 21 Has the Worst User Score in Metacritic History

TheAdza

I really don't know or understand the fascination with yearly updates to sport games. If there was like one game per generation from a company for a specific sport, and then paid yearly updates to keep the roster fresh as well as whatever other things needed to help pay the online costs, now that would make sense. It's the one area of video games that GaaS should have infiltrated and prospered AND make sense, yet we get full priced yearly "update" games. By we, i don't mean me. I rarely play sport games purely for the fear that in a years time my game is outdated. To me it would make sense to make one great game per gen, and have that base game be always playable but have a paid side for the hardcore sports gamers that instead of buying up yearly updated full priced customer gouging games, they can just subscribe to a service where everything other than the base game and a simple online mode can be found.
