@LeeHarveyOzgod you might be right mate. Rezogun was a fantastic first ps plus PS4 game but it was an Indie after all. Maybe Sony will say from now on all PS4 PS plus games must be enhanced for PS5 that would be good

@LeeHarveyOzgod Ahhh don't say that now I'm thinking it. But I very much doubt it will mate. My thought would be 2 PS4 games and one PS5 game p/m until 6 months later which it'll change to 1 PS4 game and two PS5 games

You don't need to tell me that the fighting game genre is niche haha. Apart from Arc fighters I would bet good money on all the big franchises to be available on Xbox

Money talks and that finance offer for the Series X or S is a game changer for most working class families these days. Personally gonna give it a few months to see 3rd party games working side by side on digital foundry between the X and the 5. And then make my decision off that. I can always buy a PS5 slim when that releases in 3 years and by then any previous PS exclusives (Bloodborne 2 *fingers crossed) will half price by then

At least half of those 19% are liars I guarantee it. I'm near 36 years old I bought a PS with my own birthday money and traded in my Atari Jaguar and Mega Drive to help towards the cost. I remember looking through the games available and bought with my shiny new PS a copy of Crazy Ivan (not great). Think this was about 6 months after the PS came out when it was starting to become clear for most people that this console was a game changer. Happier times

All depends on price and value for money. The rumored Xbox Lockhart is going to undercut the PS5 whatever the cost and with GamePass being as appealing as it is that might be the route I take. I have a family to support now.

EA & WB are welcome to each other. Both produce titles full of season passes and micro transactions. Gamers just need to stop funding these horrible policy's

@Amppari its strange isn't it. I have no idea where this rumour came from. Its utter nonsense to think MS would drop the online subscription model for the sake of a few extra million console sales.

Keep the £50 a year Plus option please for god's sake don't mess about with it. People like myself shop around and top up a year's worth for the bargain price of £35-£40 whenever there are deals on. Hoping that the PS5 will come with two free games a month as well as two free PS4 games per month going forward for at least 6 months to allow folk to do the console transition. Really don't care what MS are doing but forcing them to buy Ultimate sounds like a risky venture

I don't understand why anyone would buy a "new" console from eBay from one of these scum bags.
Any issues with the console (which is very possible with the 1st editions of any console) and you have zero proof you purchased it from a legit source for the warranty claim.

@Mostik the game collection mate they are great always ship RM 1st class and you can usually get your pre orders for 45 quid at a max. If you early enough on pre order then usually 39.99. I managed to bag FF7 remake for that price.

@Mostik I think £100 cheaper for the diskless version is about right (even though the price of a optical drive is only £40). Sony will make up for the loss in PSN purchases at stupidly inflated prices. e.g my copy of LOU2 is in the post for £44.95 but its £10 more on PSN. I'll make back at least £30 in a few weeks when I sell it on FB buy and sell. Then when its included on PS Plus in about two years time ill play it again for free.

@Blacksmith1985 at a very maximum the console market has 7% of its player base playing on high end monitors. Why on earth do you think developers would spend time on looking at implementing 120fps

@ShogunRok spot on. I'm hoping all games will include the option to prioritise frame rate over 4k resolution.
I was hoping for 4k 60fps especially if the rumours of the console price are true but it seems that developers are focused too much on pushing fidelity

Depending on price difference I may go for this. I haven't purchased a bluray/4k film in years and 90% of my PS4 library is digital.

@LiamCroft Instead of Metal Gear Solid 6, why not just a recreation of both Metal Gear 1&2 which would retell story elementals from the original Metal Gear games on the NES.
To me that's a possibility as it would allow the player to once again play as Solid Snake. And there's so much lore to be explored from those 1st two games that Hideo could exploit.

still hoping for performance modes to be a thing in each game so we can choose 1080p 60fps with ultra textures.

I wonder what that means for folk like me that have the original and was hoping for some sort of performance enhancer when playing the original via backwards compatibility?
I was hoping for a patch that would unlock the frame rate and upscale to 4k resolution as standard isn't this what MS are doing with all their exclusives?

@ArmyofOne I don't think they will reveal the price mate when they do this reveal event. Sounds crazy I know so close to Nov but I think they will see what MS does...

@GeminiEightySix great comment. Price will be key no doubt and I think you may be right about Xbox Vs PS5 price. But in the end exclusive games are what determine console sales. If PlayStation has 3 or 4 exclusives in the first year then regardless of an extra £50 or so the PS5 will still do better. IMO if Demon Souls remastered is a launch title that will massively boost sales

@ArmyofOne well remember Cerny has gone through the specification already the only thing we haven't seen is the cooling system, the box and some gameplay. But I know I know it's only a games console but that decision from PlayStation hurt I was really looking forward to it.

I personally cannot wait, we all should have been watching with excitement this evening. Oh well hopefully just one more week to go...
All I want is for more details on PS4 backwards compatibility & all reveal games to appearing to be running in 60fps and ill be preordering for a day 1 release.

@ShogunRok Kingdom Come Deliverance mate, it needs to be in the top 20 its really incredible. By far one of the best RPG's I've ever played. Even if the frame rate gets a but low at times on PS4.

@LiamCroft as a PlayStation writer/journalist your not at all interested if Sony plan to offer the same incentives that Microsoft are offering it's customers?

I think the true question is will we need to pay for the inevitable PS5 version if we purchase on the PS4?

@BleedingDreamer this. I'm currently playing kingdom come deliverance and the game is great but could be so much better if the PS5 boosted it's frame rate and awful loading times

All I want to know is the proposed PS5 spec good enough for 1080p 60fps with high/ultra graphic settings assuming developers will allow the option to choose performance over 4k textures?

I'm currently playing through Kingdom Come Deliverance, brilliant game please try it. Reminds me of Oblivion without the magic but oh my god the load times are horrendous. Near instant load speeds are something I'm really looking forward too.

@GamingFan4Lyf I think that's fair Sonys consumer products other than Playstation like to market at the mid to high end of the market and there's just too many competitors out there these days doing things better like Apple & Samsung.
The PlayStation brand other than their film brands is essential for them especially when you see just how much the PS Plus subscription is worth to them.

Sony is a true megapower amongst businesses. Despite Japans GDP decline 2021 is going to be massive for Sony with the expected PS5 launch
