
If you had any hopes of playing The Elder Scrolls 6 in the next few years, you may want to boot up Oblivion Remastered or Skyrim again to pass the time a little more. Perhaps not even a PS5 game at this point, Bethesda boss Todd Howard has said the sixth entry is "still a long way off".
Speaking in an interview with GQ to mark 10 years of Fallout 4, Howard said he's "preaching patience" and doesn't "want fans to feel anxious", as they await an RPG confirmed seven years ago. Work on The Elder Scrolls 6 is now "an everyday thing" for the director, along with Fallout 76 and other projects.

This means Bethesda could go 10 years between the announcement of The Elder Scrolls 6 and its release, so in similar fashion to Oblivion Remastered, games outlet VGC reports the company will fill the gap with a Fallout 3 remaster. The project was rumoured a few years ago alongside Oblivion Remastered, and, of course, the latter came true earlier this year.
