Lords of the Fallen 2 Dev 'Praying' for FromSoftware Reveal at The Game Awards, Not Behind Statue Tease 1

There was a brief moment late last week where fans were convinced The Game Awards’ mysterious statue tease was related to Lords of the Fallen 2.

For those out of the loop, Geoff Keighley has been posting about an activation outside of Los Angeles, which is hyping up a reveal expected at this week’s awards ceremony.

While there have been various predictions about what it pertains to – including everything from Diablo to God of War – no one has quite cracked the riddle yet.

Late last week, some cryptic wording on X (or Twitter) prompted fans to conclude it may be teasing upcoming action RPG Lords of the Fallen 2, but now dev CI Games’ CEO has said that’s not the case.

“Flattered so many think we’re behind that statue. Can confirm it’s not us, we’re just as hyped as you are. Devs are praying it’s something FromSoftware. Huge respect to them and we dream of reaching that level one day. Big news coming for both Lords of the Fallen and Lords 2. We’ve listened. Soon it’s time to reveal. Thanks for the insane love on the August trailer, now we’re ready to step it up again.”

We suppose some kind of FromSoftware announcement is possible, as Keighley seems to have a good relationship with the studio, and now Elden Ring: Nightreign is out it’s only really got Switch 2 exclusive The Duskbloods in the pipeline.

It’ll be interesting to see if The Game Awards can keep the hype rolling for this announcement into its event later in the week, or if this reveal eventually leaks.
