Re: 'This Policy Doesn't Reflect How Games Actually Work Today': Stop Killing Games Gets Big Win, But the Fight Is Far from Over

“Licensed content”. This should not be an issue in keeping games in a playable state. I can play Gran Turismo 4 right now, listen to all its licensed music drive all those licensed cars, even though the licensing deal must be well over by now. Yet the game is still incredibly playable, works perfectly without the threat of an online shutdown.

Re: Stellar Blade 2 PS5 Reveal This Year, But Sony Won't Publish It

@DennisReynolds If I understand correctly, it's actually illegal to sell games with "that" content in Japan, hence why games like God of War 3, Baldur's Gate 3, The Witcher 3 etc are all censored there.

And as for the whole "based off a real woman" thing, I believe Eve's model was created in part by body scanning a Korean model, with other aspects of her appearance being based off of the director's wife.

Re: Physical Game Fans, Beware: Digital Downloads Hit an Astonishing 85% on PS5, PS4 Last Quarter

As a 99.9% physical collector, I believe that we could see more AAA taking the Alan Wake 2 approach and release the physical release a year later, but as the stats say, physical games are being bought still (I’d love to know what the split is for games like FIFA and COD).

But I’m not worried about physical just yet. Worst comes to worst, some games will have their physical copies delayed by a year or three (cough cough, Hi Fi Rush)

Re: PS Plus Value Called into Question as Xbox Slashes Game Pass Price

It doesn’t matter what the price is, I just don’t believe that the future of gaming is streaming, regardless of the amount of analysts trying to convince me otherwise.

Console gaming is something you have to focus on, to put your whole attention in. All the big streaming services like Netflix and Spotify provide very passive entertainment that you’re expected to flick through then dismiss.

@LogicStrikesAgain nobody should ever use Metacritic scores alone to decide how good a game may be. By all means, it’s a valuable resource, but it’s important to digest where those scores have come from.

As for the game itself? Excellent. Glad to know it’s good. I am looking forward to playing it in June when physical version comes out.
