It wouldn’t be Ubisoft without a leak or 15, would it?

Rumours have been swirling for days about Rayman Legends Retold, a supposed remake of the French publisher’s 2013 platformer – originally announced as a Wii U exclusive, if you recall.

Reliable leaker billbil-kun says pre-orders will go live on 2nd June, although there seems to be some debate over the actual time. Similarly rock-solid snoop NatetheHate says it’ll be fully unveiled during Sony’s State of Play.

The game will apparently launch on 1st October and will be a full remake of the original with 3D segments. It’ll feature a redesigned lead character.

Of particular note for PS5 owners, it sounds like there’ll be Astro Bot crossover content in the form of some character costumes. There’ll also be outfits inspired by fellow French release Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Rayman did appear as collectible in Team Asobi’s acclaimed platformer, so the synergy certainly makes sense here.

In other news, a logo for Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition has also emerged, suggesting we’ll be getting not one but two remakes of the platforming property this year.

To be honest, with so much information leaking, I wouldn’t be surprised if the trailers emerged before their intended reveals, but that’s just par for the course with Ubisoft these days.

Either way, it looks like we won’t have to wait too long for this all to be official; expect some announcements in the coming days.
