Publisher Shueisha Games has announced Chronoscript: The Endless End, an intriguing new game from the team behind RPG Time: The Legend of Wright.
The debut trailer is below, showing off the title's unique, illustrated style:
You play as an editor trapped within a manuscript that has no end, and must explore its pages in 2D action platformer sequences.
However, it appears there will be moments in which the game moves to a 3D space as well. It seems you'll need to traverse the mysterious manor housing the many pages of the story to reach new areas.

With a super detailed, hand-drawn style, this has quite a striking look about it, and what looks like potentially tough 2D combat.
It's coming to PS5 in 2026. What do you make of Chronoscript: The Endless End? Let us know in the comments section below.

Looks like a cross between Plucky Squire and Castlevania. Art style looks nice.
Yeah this one has my interest. I like the creative and unique art style, very nice. And apparently a Playstation console exclusive
This game pique my interest. The concept feels similar to Comic Zone where the author got trapped inside his own comic and must found a way out. And i really like the artstyle too although i need to see more of the combat.
@LogicStrikesAgain Oh i thought it also for Switch. Interesting 🤔
@PuppetMaster As far as i can find it’s coming to PS5 and PC only.
The same goes for a bunch of other games like Zero Parades, Let it Die: Inferno, The Last Epoch, Dynasty Warriors 3 Remake and even the Deus Ex Remaster. But this might just be part of a marketing deal. Maybe these games will release on all platforms.
Although Pure Xbox just did their usual roundup of games shown on the State of Play that are also coming to Xbox. And most of these games arent there.
You mean Comic Zone for the Sega Megadrive? Yeah you’re right. Damn, that brings back memories
Looks nice but I have a feeling that it will be difficult to look at after a while
I wonder if David Jaffe is gonna sue the developer claiming he has a patent on the hand drawn graphics concept he did for "drawn to death"?
I was like it looked cool but its looks hard to see with the eyes after a while I still may get this though
@LogicStrikesAgain Looks like DW 3 remake is multiplat with Switch & Xbox. Deus Ex remastered possibly multiplat too. But the rest like you said are PS5+PC release.
And yes Comic Zone from Sega MD. One of my favorite Sega games of all time.
@PuppetMaster Ah, you’re right!
And yeah, my cousin had that game, it was such a cool game! I was always impressed by its concept and graphics/art style at the time
I was tired watching this live, but did they not say something along the lines that they were committed to seeing it through?
I can't remember the exact wording, but it seemed to me that it was a live service / constantly updated game.
Can anyone else confirm this, or even if my ears and brain were working? 🤣
