Don’t forget if buying digital in uk you can get at least 12-14% off extra if you use wallet top ups from somewhere like shopto. Other discounts obviously elsewhere, but I find them reliable.
No real surprise it sold a lot less than last year as people were in lockdown or “working from home” then so of course games in general sold very well.
I actually think Vanguard plays a lot better at launch than Cold War did with more maps and a time period I personally prefer.
Nice, will download now. Finished Vanguard’s campaign and trophies (A few zombies trophies left), reached pre season level cap so BF will come at a perfect time! Looking forward to see what the release version of BF will be like!
Played a round of zombies as preload didn’t have campaign downloaded. Looks good so far and for me at least who’s loved COD 1 the ww2 setting is how I always relate to COD so am excited for this years iteration.
And I love the patrol multiplayer mode in this years game!
Sunk around 250 hours 100% + DLC’s on Valhalla and loved it. Unpopular opinion on this site but I love the new games and I have played them all since AC1.
Didn’t expect much since it was 3rd party stuff. But didn’t expect it to be quite that bad, seriously they waste some of their marketing budget advertising games that most people wouldn’t even want or consider playing.
Anyone in the UK still needing a PS5 game.co.uk put on their Twitter this evening that they are putting up a load of PS5 console bundles tomorrow morning. Thought I would post should anyone still be looking for one and can stand no sleep F5 ing all morning.
The way I read it is if you want to play on PS4 and have the "Free" upgrade, you still need to buy the digital deluxe or collectors as these are the only cross version options according to their new FAQ.
Can I upgrade my Horizon Forbidden West PS4 version to the PS5 version?
"To access both the PS4 and PS5 versions of Horizon Forbidden West, you need to purchase the Digital Deluxe, Collector’s, or Regalla Editions. Dual entitlement does not apply to the Standard and Special Editions."
No way I'm getting anything at those prices. I'm fortunate enough to have decent internet so I don't mind having to download games as and when I play them. Would have liked the extra storage for games that I play every now and then like sports games, but not at those GB to £ prices!
I mean 1tb is half the cost of the PS5 and 2tb almost the full price! Crazy lol.
Got mine on launch. I was one of those silly people camped outside my local Game store at 6am waiting 2nd in line the morning after the PS5 announcement.
A friend of mine recently pre-ordered a PS5 in Game a few weeks back as he was following all of the local Game stores on Twitter in his area. One of them tweeted they were taking pre-orders and was over there like a flash lol. So a tip for those still wanting one, follow your local games stores on twitter.
So basically for those that actually buy new sports games its pretty much split down the middle.
Yes (15%) + Yes Occasional (7%) = 22%
No (17%) + No Occasional (11%) = 28%
By a small margin of just 6% of people who regularly buy annual sports games prefer to pay and not free to play. It will be interesting to see how this new format will work and if it will sway people one way or the other in future.
I play certain sports games all year long for 100's of hours, so happy to pay each year for my favourite annual titles. Plus a lot of F2P games I have played need some form of payment to get the full experience. I would rather just pay upfront. I never buy fluff or loot boxes anyway and I'd imagine there would be even more of that and advertising in a F2P model.
The main advantage to me are that most of the Steam games I own, I can play on it when out and about and I don't need to repurchase the same games on the Steam deck that I already own on Steam, unlike some other platforms.
Also I never really enjoyed Nintendo like games and couldn't see the point repurchasing other third party games I already owned either on PS or Steam to play on the switch.
At least with Steam Deck, I'll be able to at least play most of my Steam games on the move which seems a win to me at least.
Loved Yakuza like a Dragon and this brought vibes of that game in this one. Certainly will be following this one up to release and probably buy day one.
No interest at all in Deathloop, I won't bother to watch this one.
It's been a year since the GoW2, FF, and Gran Turismo etc were streamed on the PS5 reveal and yet nothing much or at all since....
I hope there is a big stream event soon rather than these little 30 minute State of Plays featuring 1 game as I would like an update on the big first party games announced a year ago.
Wow, if you only just got a PS I envy you. So many great games to play.
If you enjoy single player RPG's like The Last of us then I would suggest looking at.
1. The Last of us Part 2 (Once you finish the first one). 2. Marvel's Spiderman and Miles Morales (Both excellent) 3. Horizon Zero Dawn. 4. Ghost of Tsushima. 5) God of War. 6) Day's Gone. 7) Uncharted series. 8) Death Stranding.
These will last you for a long while and are all great PS games Imo.
Unless reviews closer to launch are bad, I'm definitely picking this up day 1. Was so happy when they said it is a single player RPG and not another Avengers type game which I didn't buy because of that!
I broke down last week and bought a XSX as my local Game keeps tweeting when they get some stock in which made it easy to grab one physically.
I'm going to continue to buy most 1st party Sony games that interest me and also any third party games (Not on Gamepass) on my PS5 as I am heavily invested in PS.
But there are now just too many games now on Gamepass that I want to play and now after E3 that I will want to play in the future that it just seems a no brainer to me.
What people also I have found don't realise is its not just Sony's assembly plant that's involved. There is also the GPU, CPU manufacturer along with any other out of house parts that have to be built elsewhere. Some people seem to think it is just Sony's factory that could be the bottleneck, but the problem might be with a part built elsewhere.
Also with Christmas and the Pandemic, Ports around the world are jam packed full, so shipping finished PS5's and or their components to the Sony factory becomes an issue

Re: PS Plus 12-Month Memberships Just £29.85 in the UK
I just got it from Shopto for £29.18 as I am one of their Gold members so even cheaper from the same store. Set for another year then!

Re: Call of Duty: Vanguard Multiplayer Is Free for the Next Four Days
@danzoEX It should be linked to your activision account so I would assume yes.
Re: Call of Duty: Vanguard Multiplayer Is Free for the Next Four Days
No real surprise with BF and Halo all 3 franchises are hunting for players.
Re: Saints Row Delayed All the Way Back to August 2022
Thank goodness, had enough to play already in Feb with GT7, Horizon Forbidden West, Dying light 2 not to mention Elden Ring as well lol.

Re: UK Sales Charts: Call of Duty: Vanguard Storms the Top 10, Selling Best on PS5
Great to see GOTG is still going strong.
Been having a blast with Vanguard, loved the campaign and multiplayer, for me at least a much better entry than Cold War.
Re: Back 4 Blood Offline Single Player Progression Coming Next Month
Thank goodness for that! I will play again once single player progress is patched in.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 401
@vapidwolf
Like 4-8 hours depending on skill and difficulty setting. 9 missions in total.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 401
Vanguard, finished campaign and I thought it was great! Just running through a few missed campaign trophies.
Multiplayer is much better than in beta and they have improved so much from then. Enjoying the new patrol mode and blitz options!
Played a round of zombies and looks interesting.
For me at least it’s better than Cold War and I’m liking Vanguard a lot.

Re: Poll: Vote for the Best Assassin's Creed Game on PlayStation
I guess I’m different from a lot of you as I my top 3 are Valhalla, Odyssey and Origins.
Played all the AC even all the old ones and enjoyed them all. But for me the new three are the best.

Re: Poll: Ghost of Tsushima Released One Year Ago Today - What Review Score Would You Give It Now?
8/10 from me, great game, I just didn't personally find the story all that great for me hence the 8. Gameplay was 10/10 though.

Unlocks at midnight tonight, can't wait to play, my favourite racing sim series. Glad it's got a decent review too.

@Dalejrfanfreak its $10 as mentioned on here https://blog.playstation.com/2021/07/08/death-stranding-directors-cut-launches-on-ps5-september-24-2021/
Re: Talking Point: Was Sony's Latest State of Play Livestream Any Good?
Lost Judgement is the only game I was interested in. Loved Death Stranding, but not going to play it again even with all the new bells and whistles.
Overall a poor show for me at least.

Re: Upcoming PS5, PS4 Games for July and August 2021
Not much for me the next two months, Just F1 2021 and Kena on digital.

Re: Talking Point: What Free December 2020 PS Plus Games Do You Want?
Doubt there will be any PS5 games cause Bugsnax Nov-Jan 5th, then Destruction Allstars Feb - Mar have already been announced as the PS Plus PS5 Games.
Would like to see some older Yakuza or AC titles though.
Re: The Last of Us 2 Dominates Game Awards 2020 Nominations
