Considering they revealed this as some sort of MMO, the best thing Ubisoft could do is scrap it and start all over. Fans loved the original because it was a solid action-adventure game, not some totally different genre.

I recently finished this on Game Pass and while it's not a bad game the reviews were definitely very generous.

@Ward_ting I definitely agree on this point. I feel my biggest issue is that whilst you can upgrade your powers it never really feels like you're getting any stronger against enemies. It made combat very tedious.

I really can't see this ever coming out unfortunately. It doesn't help that it looks like it has absolutely zero to do with the first game either.

@RubyCarbuncle The sequel was released on consoles last year.

@ShogunRok I thought the level-scaling was one of the better features of Extinction. It meant the game never became too easy and you constantly had to be on your toes unlike a certain other monster-catcher which has removed basically all challenge over the years.

This sounds like something that will never see the light of day due to "creative issues".

@Kidfried I'm not sure there's any need to call articles on the charts click bait and question journalistic integrity. Nobody is forcing you to click and it clearly states they're physical only. Data is limited on UK (and US) sales charts so I'll take what we can get.

This gameplay looks... perfectly fine. It could literally be from any 3D Sonic game from the past 15 years.

PS Plus is being discounted from June 1st for those waiting for it. Last year ShopTo undercut Sony so worth keeping an eye out.

This doesn't bode well for the future of the Crash nor Spyro franchises which is a real pity.

Can you transfer over your save from PS4?

I'm planning to buy it in about 6 months when it's £15 and patched to the same standard it should have been released in.

I absolutely loved the base game but the strategy with the DLC has been really odd considering it doesn't even feature the same characters. I may pick it up at some stage but after putting 40 hours into it already I need a break.

Total side note but I really wish Push Square would make quotes easier to read like on your sister sites. Having them be separated from the text in italic would make browsing the site so much easier.

@Kopite The first game was pretty terrible but Impossible Lair is a drastic improvement. I'd rank it up there with Mario, DK and Rayman as some of the best 2D platforming this gen.

Great tip, didn't realise you could do this. With no PS5 stock for a long time it'll be handy to have a ready-made library of games when I can eventually find one... in 2023.

@Wormold You mean the only decent film from the trilogy where they tried to expand the universe, try new things and have actual character development? It's not perfect but at least it wasn't painful fan-service.

@sanderson72 Most games are now retailing at that price though and the PS4 version was still £40-£50 so I'm not sure it was really the issue for poor sales.

@legalstep It's already pretty cheap, it dropped in price only two (!) weeks after release.

I've been putting a lot of time into it and really enjoying it. Shame it looks like sales have been pretty poor.

I played this on Switch and really enjoyed it. The whole game is fairly easy but the post game content, consisting of about 15 challenge levels, is tough as nails.

No Resi 4 sales? Considering how many platforms its been released on I thought it would be the biggest seller.
